Client Description:
∑ HBOS plc is banking and insurance company in the United Kingdom, a wholly owned subsidiary of
the Lloyds Banking Group having been taken over in January 2009. It is the holding company for
Bank of Scotland plc, which operated the Bank of Scotland and the Halifax brands; HBOS
Australia, and HBOS Insurance & Investment Group Limited, the group's insurance division.
∑ The origins of Lloyds Bank stretch back to 1765.Over the years, Lloyds Bank expanded through a
series of mergers, including the Wilts and Dorset Bank in 1914 and the Capital and Counties Bank
in 1918. In 1955, Lloyds Bank bought full ownership and it became Lloyds Bank (Foreign) and
later Lloyds Bank Europe. In 1971, Lloyds Bank bought the controlling interest in BOLSA (Bank of

Project Description:
∑ QAEBS - DES is predominantly a Development Environment Support Team which is responsible
for Deploying new codes into test environments & maintaining them, Batch Scheduling,
Initiation, Providing temporary and permanent fixes for Job Abends and investigation of any
Online CICS API Failures.
Roles and responsibilities
∑ Started career as a Level 1 Resource with the team and was responsible for Code deployments
using Endevor, Initiating Batches through OPC and Monitoring them using Spool and SARV/SARP
within specified SLA's. On Job Abends escalate the issue to Level 2 or the users as required.
∑ Later became an active member of the Level 2 support, wherein I am responsible for providing
fixes to various Job Failures that include JCL Errors, DB2 Abends.
∑ Involved in continuous monitoring and improvements.
∑ Arrange regular KT with offshore new recruits and regular updates.
∑ Managing End to End Batch Environments
∑ Scheduling End to End Applications in OPC
∑ Responsible for liaising with the Users to decide which Schedules should run on the current
Batch, Creation of new schedules and implementing any internal or external dependencies
required.

Title: CBM - Central Batch Management
Client: LBG- Lloyds Banking Group
Project Description:
∑ CBM is responsible for Batch Scheduling, Initiation, Monitoring and updating the test team on
process of the batch. We check with testing team to provide permanent fix and ask them for
solution. It is managing SOE’s and updating end to end on the status of the batch and make the
environment team to complete the batch within the SLA.
Roles and responsibilities
∑ After 2 years of experience and having hands on in end to end batches in my previous Project I
was moved to CBM team to handle multi-tasking.
∑ Worked hand in hand with the Command and control Team and the GDW (Group Data Ware
House) Team for the execution of batches.
∑ Execute End to End batch, where it contains many applications.
∑ Execute UNIX scripts in OPC to receive Hypered files for execution of batches.
∑ Fixing issues during reception of files in UNIX and issues in Control files and scripts.
∑ Scheduling of applications in OPC according to their dependencies and its successful execution
were my prime responsibilities.
