Near Miss
Near misses are incidents that under slightly
different circumstances could have caused
illness, injury or damage to assets, the
environment or company reputation, but did
not (incident has occurred).
Potential Incident (Safety Observation)
Potential incidents are unsafe practices or
hazardous situations that could result in an
incident (incident has not occurred).

 The Central Substance MDM officer is responsible for
handling new/change requests of substances, maintaining
substance data, expert judgement regarding correctness
and completeness of supplier information, and preparing
chemical substance reporting.
