Unmanaged Association in CDS
• This feature allows us to define an
element of type unmanaged
association inside an entity which
forms part of your HDBDD file.
• In the context of SHINE, we have
our HDBDD file named “SO.hdbdd”
where there exists an element
called “ITEMS” in Header Entity
and “HEADER” element in Item
Entity which performs this
unmanaged association possible.

Multi-file support for CDS
• With this feature, an HDBDD file can
use any of the CDS artifacts defined in
another HDBDD file.
• In the context of SHINE data model,
we have a CDS artifact type with name
“Source” defined in one HDBDD file
namely, “EPM.hdbdd”.
• In another HDBDD file named
“JobsDemo.hdbdd” you would use the
CDS artifact “Source”.The keyword
used in Mult-ifile support is “Using”
