Overview:
Dynamic formatting is defined in a dedicated sheet. A specific format (such as font, colour, or size) can be defined for levels of a hierarchy, types of members, odd/even rows or columns and page axis dimensions. We can define specific dynamic formatting in a template to apply to sheets or reports. Since the EPM Formatting Sheet is an excel sheet, it can be copied and changed to be applied to other reports, worksheets.
● A blank template sheet is provided with the add-in. You can specify the formatting you want in this sheet.
● For Planning and Consolidation connections, two pre-defined templates are provided. You can create additional template sheets by copying the default sheet as you would copy a standard Microsoft Office Excel worksheet. EPM Formatting Sheet can be used to format your Reports and Input Forms. There are various options for formatting.
You can do simple formatting, lock the cells that are not input ready, use the format by property using multiple criteria, or use a new cell-based formula delivered with the EPM add-in to override the data range formatting.

A new way to enables companies to consolidate their Financial Statements faster and in real time. This is the history of a BPC Tool that was misunderstood at the beginning ,but still it’s a good option many companies to use it.
Worldwide leader in technology-enabled business transformation, Deloitte supports decision makers in streamlining the group close processes and delivering their vision through distinctive Enterprise Performance Management solutions
One of your current priorities is to enable fast, intuitive and self-service access to critical information that also allows finance teams to spend more time in analysing the reasons for the numbers rather than just reporting them.
SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), Optimized for S/4HANA, also called SAP Real- Time Consolidation, offers a tight integration of the finance consolidation process with the core ERP landscape to avoid data replication and enable real-time analysis.
Administrators load data from various source GL systems in to a Model. Accounting team will review the data and should there be discrepancy in balancing accounts/amounts, the team will create Journal (s) to balance the amounts for reconciling. This is necessary since correcting the source system and reloading may take significant amount of down time. This process is typically done after month-end and quarter-ends.
SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10.1, version for SAP NetWeaver, provides a unified planning suite to address a wide range of business issues. Now fully supported by the SAP BW on HANA platform, BPC 10.1 provides deeper integration with SAP NetWeaver and can leverage the platform's Integrated Planning (IP) and Planning Applications Kit (PAK) framework. The introduction of SAP Cloud for Planning builds upon this by offering the ability to roll out a public cloud planning application to strategic business units that can plug into the central BPC Plan.

During moth end/period close, there are situations where each company is struggled with differences in the intercompany Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable reconciliations. The main problem for this imbalance between subsidiary GL posting is that the data accessibility and integration across organization and its source systems.
The option of using one model with data access controlled via member access profiles for the data source dimension may take security too complex. For this reason, a separate intercompany matching model is considered.

Individual Assignment 1:
Building a Business Dashboard
Overview
A business dashboard is ‘a style of reporting that depicts KPIs, operational or strategic information with
intuitive and interactive displays’ (Turban et al., 2015 p. 380). It is a single screen snapshot of how a
business, department, or process is performing. The design varies considerably from one application
to another, and even between businesses, but a common feature of a dashboard is that it uses graphs,
coloured text, and symbols to show the viewer, at a glance, the current status. A dashboard should
only contain information that actually influences performance. Many dashboards are interactive
because it can be difficult to show every important detail at once.
You are an employee at Australian Electronics Pty Ltd. You have been assigned the task of designing
a report that will be used by managers involved in purchasing, sales, and inventory management.
Your boss, Mary Smith, suggest including at least four (4) ratios. Regarding the ratios, Mary thinks
that Inventory Turnover and Sales Growth are a must.
This is an individual assignment. There is no fixed answer, so be creative!! The spreadsheet must
perform ratio analysis to show the current status of the inventory holdings and sales. Marks are
awarded according to how well the dashboard meets the requirements specified in the rubric.
A data set is supplied with this guide in Moodle (ACC ACF 2400_s2 2017_Inventory Statistics.xlsx). The
Inventory Statistics data set contains four sheets: sales value, sales quantity, the quantity of inventory
on hand, and the quantity purchased. You should use all sheets in your calculations, but may need to
restructure some data on a separate calculation sheet to ensure data is in the format you need.
Instructions on how to build a complex interactive scorecard have been published in different journals
such as the Journal of Accountancy
(http://www.journalofaccountancy.com/issues/2011/feb/20092427.html), but you do not have to
build such a complex system if your spreadsheeting skills are not well developed.
The table below contrasts two different approaches. The example on the left shows 7 ratios in a non-
interactive dashboard, with three graphs and one table of numbers. It is clearly not an inventory
management dashboard, but if the design features included were tailored to the inventory
management context, it would likely earn a pass (providing instructions, the input sheet, and the
calculations sheet are acceptable).
The example on the right, however, is from the Dashboard your Scorecard article. It is also not an
inventory management dashboard and does not show ratios, and so is not acceptable, but illustrates
elements that will earn higher marks:
• It is interactive (note the drop-down box in the bottom right graph to select the person shown);
• It uses conditional for ...
As usual, you will not find any reference numbers in that document. However, if you need this kind of information, just follow the embedded links. In addition to that, I inserted a new section called “Useful Knowledge Base Articles”.
Please keep in mind, that this compilation is not intended to be complete, but rather a snippet of features which customers often request or are in general big changes.

Enterprise data science - What it takes to build?Jothi Periasamy
Enterprise data science is not just creating dashboard, reports, ad-hoc query, models and/or algorithms, it’s beyond all - Take a look at our approach to enterprise data sciences, it’ very complex and it’s very difficult to implement as it’s involved integrating data across enterprise business function regardless of data source, format and structure
There are many instances where people talk about enterprise data sciences (Oracle 12C, HADOOP, SAP) but “have you seen enterprise data sciences in a real system as a live demo”, in most cases the answers is “no” but now there is an opportunity to review enterprise data sciences with CloneSkills.
I would say confidently say that there is no one in the world who integrated “Oracle 12C” and SAP HANA with HADOOP for real-time data integration except CloneSkills technical architect Mr. Karthik

EPM Formatting Sheet
Overview:
Dynamic formatting is defined in a dedicated sheet. A specific format (such as font, colour, or
size) can be defined for levels of a hierarchy, types of members, odd/even rows or columns and
page axis dimensions. We can define specific dynamic formatting in a template to apply to
sheets or reports. Since the EPM Formatting Sheet is an excel sheet, it can be copied and changed
to be applied to other reports, worksheets.
● A blank template sheet is provided with the add-in. You can specify the formatting you want in
this sheet.
● For Planning and Consolidation connections, two pre-defined templates are provided. You can
create additional template sheets by copying the default sheet as you would copy a standard
Microsoft Office Excel worksheet.
EPM Formatting Sheet can be used to format your Reports and Input Forms. There are various
options for formatting.
You can do simple formatting, lock the cells that are not input ready, use the format by property
using multiple criteria, or use a new cell-based formula delivered with the EPM add-in to
override the data range formatting.

items inside a section that you want to apply to the reports.
Priority to Column or row
format

or columns will be applied first in case of conflicts. For
example, if you select Priority to Column Format the Column
section will appear below the Row Section, and the precedence
rules apply.
Data and Use Columns/Cells
Header and Use

formatting features in the Data and Header Columns to define
the formatting. Also gives you the ability to directly enter the
format settings in the Use cell. By double clicking the Use cell,
you will open the EPM Formatting Sheet - Cell Format window
which will allow you to override certain format settings.
Structure Level The formatting at Structure Level takes the hierarchy levels
based on the member sheet
Relative Level Relative Level displays level as displayed in the reports, and
not levels as defined in the structure. Additionally, you can
invert the level order, the lowest level is displayed in first
position (use the Start formatting from the lowest level
displayed option).
Inner Dimension/Outer
Dimension
A row or column axis contains more than one dimension, you
can specify which dimension you want the defined format to
be applied to. The Inner dimension is the last dimension, and
the outer dimension is the first dimension in the axis.
Cell Protection You can unlock cells or lock cells as necessary. Right-click on
one or more cells, and from the context menu select EPM →
Unlock Selected Cells. When you are finished, if you'd like, you
can re-lock by choosing EPM → Lock Selected Cells.

as defined in the source. Relative levels refer to the levels displayed in the report. For Instance,
Quarter is the 2nd level of the hierarchy as defined in the source connection, but it is the first
level being displayed in the report. If you select the Relative Levels option, a checkbox appears

7.0 Applying a Default Dynamic Formatting Template to the Worksheet
You can apply a dynamic formatting template to:
● the current worksheet. The chosen dynamic formatting template applies by default to all the
reports created in the worksheet.
● a specific report. If a default template has been selected for the worksheet, you can however
choose another template to apply to a specific report. If a sheet contains several reports, you can
apply a dynamic formatting template by report.
If you modify a dynamic format which has already been applied to a specific worksheet, you
must refresh the report to which you applied the dynamic formatting.
If the reports to which you want to apply dynamic formatting, already contain formatting
applied by an add-in other than the EPM add-in, you can decide whether to keep the existing
formatting and override it with the dynamic formatting, or to clear the existing format and only
apply the dynamic formatting.
