13. Teens need a place where they can mingle, study, learn, create, and work
through their problems. They need a small scale, portable and
prototypical space that is adaptable to various methods of use. My thesis
focuses on creating such a space. The Teen Center is comprised of
individually designed 40’ containers that can be put together in various
combination depending on the restrictions of the site.

14. Teens need a space where they can involve themselves in constructive
activities as a way to work trough their problems and as an outlet for
excess energy, an opportunity for socialization and creating a sense of
community.

15. A wasted resource in Karachi, where the project is based, are parks. They
are spaces designated for the community, but as they are not maintained,
they are mostly left unused. My strategy for situating a social project in a
park revolved around the criteria: mobile, cost effective & low
maintenance. My program consisted of three main areas: Art, Social, and
Fitness, with an Admininistrative unit.
Permutation 3- Exterior Perspectives
16. My concept was Metamorphosis: a change that happens within, as time
passes, that starts to reflect without, bit by bit, until the outside realises all
the hopes and dreams that were within.
Solar power has been used for energy for the center. Each container has its
own system of solar panels and batteries.
