Snail trail:-

Snail Trail (Snail rail) basicallymicrocracks in solar cell duringencapsulationof EVA
and lamination, sometimes cracks increase and seems visible on modules. If cracks
increase horizontalto the grid line the impact is very less but if its vertical then impact
on module will be high. Voc of snail trail defect modules are same, we can identify
performance with PV-IV curve characteristic only.

  • 6. Snail Trail (Snail rail) basicallymicrocracks in solar cell duringencapsulationof EVA and lamination, sometimes cracks increase and seems visible on modules. If cracks increase horizontalto the grid line the impact is very less but if its vertical then impact on module will be high. Voc of snail trail defect modules are same, we can identify performance with PV-IV curve characteristic only.
