1. SAME- SEX MARRIAGE SHOULD NOT
BE LEGALIZED

2. Same Sex Marriage
(also known as gay marriage)
is marriage between two
persons of the same biological
sex or gender identity.

3. I have nothing against
homosexual people. As a
matter of fact, I have
friends that are
homosexual, I just firmly
believe that God created
marriage exclusively for
man and woman.

4. Here are the main reasons that I delved
into on why same sex marriage should
not be legalized.

5. Homosexuality is detestable
According to the Old
testament,
“Do not lie with a man
as one lies with a
woman, that is
detestable”
-Leviticus 18:22

6. MARRIAGE IS BETWEEN
MALE AND FEMALE
"Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning
the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said,
'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother
and be united to his wife, and the two will become one
flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore
what God has joined together, let man not separate."
(Matt 19:4-6)

8. I know that the people that are in favor of same sex
marriage says that marriage is all about love
intimacy and equality and thus they should not be
deprived of this right. But for me, it boils down to
the fact that God said in the bible that marriage is
for man and woman. God not only performed the
first marriage ceremony when he created male and
female, He was the originator of marriage and it
was between a man and a woman.

9. Homosexuality is a sin
Homosexuals should not think God is singling out their sins.
According to Paul in the New Testament:
“Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of
God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters
nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor
thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers
will inherit the kingdom of God.”
(1 Cor 6:9-10)

11. AWARENESS
“So God created man in His own image; in the
image of God He created him; male and female
He created them“(Gen 1:27).
God knew that it was not good for a man to
be alone, so he made a woman for Adam

12. THE CHILDREN.
"God has willed to give the union of man and
woman a special participation in his work of
creation. Thus, he blessed the man and the
woman with the words 'Be fruitful and multiply'
(Gen 1:28). Therefore, in the Creator's plan,
sexual complementarity and fruitfulness belong to
the very nature of marriage.”

13. THE STATE AND THE CHURCH
The state should get
out of the “marriage”
issue and let those
who desire it may
seek a marriage from
the Church. Let us
leave “marriage”
to the churches
and the civil
unions to the state.

14. WHERE DO WE DRAW THE LINE?
 Not only does the Bible forbid
same sex marriages, but tradition
and nature prohibits it also. The
concept is against every tradition
known to the human race and is
obviously against nature. Allowing
same sex marriages will devalue
real marriages; it will open a door
of other issues such as polygamy,
incest marriages, child marriages,
and even foolish marriages
between men and animals.

15. To further conclude my speech, I firmly believe in what the bible
states about marriage, It is sacred and it is for man and woman and
people of the same sex should not indulge in such practice.
