2. Love is patient and is kind; love
doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t
brag, is not proud, doesn’t
behave itself inappropriately,
doesn’t seek its own way, is not
provoked, takes no account of
evil; doesn’t rejoice in
unrighteousness, but rejoices
with the truth. Love bears all
things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all
things. Love never fails.
Now faith, hope, and love
remain—these three. The
greatest of these is love.
(1 Corinthians 13:4-8;13)

3. Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy
and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness,
lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing
with one another, and forgiving each other,
even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.
Above all these things, walk in love, which is
the bond of perfection. Let all that you do be
done in love. (Colossians 3:12-14; 1
Corinthians 16:14)

4. Above all things be earnest in
your love among yourselves,
for love covers a multitude of
sins. Be hospitable to one
another without grumbling. As
each has received a gift,
employ it in serving one
another, as good managers of
the grace of God in its various
forms.
Let nothing be done through
strife or vainglory; but in
lowliness of mind let each
esteem other better than
themselves. Look not every
man on his own things, but
every man also on the things of
others. (1 Peter 4:8-10;

5. Beloved, let us love one
another, for love is of God;
and everyone who loves has
been born of God, and
knows God. He who doesn’t
love doesn’t know God, for
God is love.
If we love one another, God
remains in us, and his love
has been perfected in us.
My little children, let’s not
love in word only, or with the
tongue only, but in deed and
truth. (1 John 4:7-8,12; 1
John 3:18)

6. ‘You shall love the Lord
your God with all your
heart, with all your soul,
and with all your mind.’ This
is the first and great
commandment. A second
likewise is this, ‘You shall
love your neighbor as
yourself.’ The whole law
and the prophets depend
on these two
commandments.
A new commandment I
give to you, that you love
one another. Just as I have
loved you, you also love
one another. By this
everyone will know that
you are my disciples, if you
have love for one another.

7. Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall,
the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have
another to lift him up.
Through love be servants to one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this:
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10; Galatians 5:13-14)

8. For I am persuaded, that neither death,
nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor things present, nor things to come,
nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor
any other created thing, will be able to
separate us from the love of God, which
is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In this is love, not that we loved God,
but that he loved us, and sent his Son
as the atoning sacrifice for our
sins.Beloved, if God loved us in this
way, we also ought to love one
another. (Romans 8:38-39; 1 John 4:10-
