CAREER SUMMARY
I am an open minded individual who thrives on ongoing challenges and changes within the environment
around me. I have a lot of energy and I am able to face anything that is put in front of me. I am
accepted and respected by peers and leaders and treat everyone with the same respect and dignity. I
am a very trustworthy and independent individual who can work on her own without any form of
supervision. I have facilitated groups of over 200 individuals at a time. Some of my leaders have
mentored me in leadership skills and have placed me in acting leadership roles to test my ability which
has allowed me to grow further and gain better knowledge within the different business units.
I have excellent knowledge on implementing an integrated management system. The processes which
were applied in the integrated management system included the risk based approach, ISO 9001, ISO
14001, OHSAS 18001, legal & other requirements as well as Process Safety management (I-Chem E).
I was one of the senior leaders for the Polymers business during the implementation of an integrated
system for +/-1000 personnel over 9 chemical operating units within Sasol. In order to train personnel
on this new approach I developed a training model and presented it across all Polymers business units.
I have rotated among various different operating units, ensuring my development & growth plan is
achieved in the chemical operations field. I have participated in numerous planned shutdowns within
various Sasol operating units and I have also worked night shift during these periods. I aim to further my
knowledge of human behavior by completing my certificate in industrial psychology after which I would
like to enroll for my B Degree in Industrial psychology which I believe will further my efforts in
understanding why accidents occur within our organisation.
