Each goal has specific targets regarding ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring prosperity for all. As part of the Technology and Innovation class in the Masters in Management at IE Business School, my workgroup developed a technology-based solution to support one of the targets in the Sustainable Development Goal #4: “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. With the refugee crisis being a major current topic around the world, and in Europe especially, we developed an application to support refugee children in getting primary education. The application is based on a mentoring system, through which tutors around the world can teach children in refugee camps.

Open schooling programme
Education is the yardstick for every country’s political and socio-economic development; which acts as a basis of reducing poverty and inequality by enabling the use of new technologies, creating and spreading knowledge. Despite the large inflows of donor financing and the Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Education and Sports; the sector for the last 29 years is still grappling to balance the increasing access with quality education in secondary schools. Therefore, the main objective of this article is to explore the new strategies the Ministry of Education and Sports can employ to increase access while improving the quality education in the country. The article is based on literature review and the author’s experience in education. The article examines the advantages of open schooling and reveals that the programme provides the fast-track options for retaining students; bringing dropouts and over-aged learners to school; reducing administrative costs and enabling young people to be effective in life. Furthermore, the researcher discusses the likely challenges of the programme and gives practical working solutions aimed at overcoming the challenges of implementing the programme in Uganda.

The U Tapao River is a major waterway in Songkhla province, Southern Thailand . The U Tapao River can be divided into three sectors; upper, middle and lower stream. The upstream sector, which forms the head of the river, is a wooded area with a rubber plantation, and orchards providing many kinds of fruits. Most of the human settlement, and many factories, are in the middle sector, which also provides the fresh water supply within the Songkhla province. Environmental problems in this area include overuse of water and its contamination by saltwater. The lower stream has been affected by water pollution from the middle and upper streams, but the major problem in this sector is flooding.

RCE Greater Phnom Penh conducted a project from 2017-2021 to promote sustainable agriculture in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. They provided capacity building workshops and trainings to 1,537 beneficiaries including agricultural extension officers and farmers. The project aimed to increase knowledge of organic fertilizers and sustainable practices. Results included more farmers using organic fertilizers, model farmers disseminating knowledge, and greater involvement of women. Lessons learned include the importance of local stakeholders and economic incentives for changing practices. Remaining challenges are engaging youth and improving food preservation and sustainable consumption awareness.

Technology can improve teaching and learning, enhance educational goals, and help develop curriculums, teaching materials, and identify community needs by facilitating the analysis of the teaching and learning process. The overall role of 21st century education is to prepare students to become active, successful, contributing members of society.
Information Technology In Supporting of Student-Centered Learning

Open schooling programme
Education is the yardstick for every country’s political and socio-economic development; which acts as a basis of reducing poverty and inequality by enabling the use of new technologies, creating and spreading knowledge. Despite the large inflows of donor financing and the Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Education and Sports; the sector for the last 29 years is still grappling to balance the increasing access with quality education in secondary schools. Therefore, the main objective of this article is to explore the new strategies the Ministry of Education and Sports can employ to increase access while improving the quality education in the country. The article is based on literature review and the author’s experience in education. The article examines the advantages of open schooling and reveals that the programme provides the fast-track options for retaining students; bringing dropouts and over-aged learners to school; reducing administrative costs and enabling young people to be effective in life. Furthermore, the researcher discusses the likely challenges of the programme and gives practical working solutions aimed at overcoming the challenges of implementing the programme in Uganda.

This study examined the effect of Guided-Discovery (GD) technique on
Colleges of Education Social Studies students’ learning outcome in Nigeria.
The study employed 2x2x2 randomized research design. A total of 100
students participated in the study, consisted of 50 GD and 50 Lecture
Technique. Social Studies Performance Tests (SSPT) was used to collect
data. It was designed using National Commission for Colleges of Education
curriculum and validated by four Social Studies experts. The reliability value
of 0.82 was obtained for the instrument using Cronbach Alpha. ANOVA and
t-test were used for data analyses. This study found that GD technique of
teaching Social Studies was next in producing higher significant effect in
students’ learning outcome than LT. Gender has no significant interactive
effect on students’ learning outcome in Social Studies. The mode of entry
had no significant interactive effect in the learning outcome of Colleges of
Education Social Studies Students. The study concluded that GD was found
to be more effective in enhancing Social Studies Students’ learning outcome
in Colleges of Education. It was recommended that GD technique should be
used in teaching Social Studies in Colleges of Education. JURNAL SAINS 6

The topics of observing students' behavior and discussing undesirable behaviors and phenomena practiced by some students got the support of the sample from both sides, the family and the school.

The origin and significanceThe origin and significance In the globalization era, teaching and learning approach focus to promote development of IQ rather than EQ students do not have their life skills these students also lack interaction with their families. Paying much attention only on their study especially to enroll the university
- 20. these students currently are having special classes after school and on the weekend Ironically these students are may be resulting in less obvious moral ** However, even though some students have been practicing their learning exercise outside classroom, the achievement even less.
- 21. The objective 1) create and accumulate power of meditation to study; 2) to develop practical moral media and; 3) to develop alternative way of teaching science
- 22. Method/Process to develop the moral media focusing on meditation to promote scientific learning process as well as other subject such as international subject in Hatyaiwitayalai 2 School in order to care for the watershed area in both school and communities within the U Taphao waterway
- 23. **Moreover, the ultimate goal of this practice is to distribute this notion to encourage and raise awareness of everyone in the UTaphao waterway, Songkhla Province.
- 24. The Study found:- (1) the moral media is able to use as a tool to develop the learning process which was 90% of the students confirmed in the questionnaires; they were able to apply in their daily living;
- 26. (2) A pragmatically outcome using the Samadhi Hi-tech media were recorded in Vidhisa Samadhi book and the virtuous book where students recorded their meditation activities.This media will be developed into an ICT school system: Samadhi online.
- 28. (3)This program provided continuously moral activities.These activities were not able apply for themselves but for other people as well as the local community.
- 29. (4)There were several subjects using Samadhi Hi-tech media as a tool to develop the students’ mind and learning process such as the Science project, Biology for year 10 and 12, Genetics and environment for year 11.
- 30. (5) Students were happy, most students (100%) agreed that this media helped to improve their living skills.
- 31. (6) School received One School One innovationAward in year 2012
- 33. Myself (BenjamasNaklong) also received OBEC Award because I developed and I have been applied this media to my teaching approach. Moreover, I currently is a candidate for the Green Globe Award 2013
- 34. (7) In addition, for a sustainable development, Samadhi Hi-tech media became a tool to develop environmental local subjects including Rak Khlong U Taphao Subject, Local people and the environmental disaster projection.
- 35. In addition Songkhla province established a Green city project and the Samadhi Hi- tech media was part of the project, the media was integrated into a water is life program used to promote public participation particularly for the local youths who live in UTaphao waterway.
