Over 1 million children in the Sahel region of Africa are facing severe malnutrition due to ongoing food crises caused by drought and poor harvests. The UNICEF warns that 15 million people across countries like Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso and Chad are at risk of food insecurity. Without emergency aid, an entire generation of children in the impoverished Sahel region faces a future of poverty, dependency and threatened survival due to the lack of nutrition.
