Propane has become the fuel of choice for cooking and heating on boats. It
a false sense of security. The problem is, it is also heavier than air, so it can
settle below decks and into bilges where it may hide from your nose and be
electric spark of any kind.
As propane becomes more and more a part of boating and RV’s, so should
the common sense protective measures that can be taken against its

Shutdown System
Compressed gas suppressant will not shutdown
diesel-powered vessel, the engine must be shut
down immediately. Continued operation may
remove the agent creating the possibility of re-ignition. Fireboy

Fireboy Manual MA-2 System
Coast Guard Approved. All feature the same electrically operated control panel indicator lamp and pressure
gauge as the CG2 series. In addition, they provide optional, manual activation by means of a mechanical pull
cable. Cable kits are packaged and sold separately and available in lengths of 6 to 30 feet, in two foot increments.

Where a traditional lifejacket had approximately 35lbs of buoyancy, a PFD has a minimum of 15.5lbs
of buoyancy. Where lifejackets were designed to self-right people into a face up position in the water,
make an appropriate choice for their activity and to wear their product in order to be safe.
Lifejackets come only in red, orange and yellow so you are much more visible while
in water. Currently, there are three Canadian-approved types to choose from:
Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) lifejackets meet very high performance standards and
are approved for all vessels.

Come in two sizes: for those over 32 kg (70 lbs.) and those less than 32 kg
