1. Cairn India Celebrates Safe Motherhood Day

Safe Motherhood Day was celebrated at Barmer, Rajasthan by the
Department of Health and Family Welfare and the District Administration
Barmer in collaboration with Cairn India on April 11 2012

The event was hosted to motivate public health service providers and
create awareness on health issues & sensitize health workers on the
relevance of the day and the context of the health issues at Barmer
Barmer.
The event was marked by the presence of District Collector, Barmer, Chief
Medical and Health Officer along with various other dignitaries from the
District Health Administration Unicef and Cairn officials
Administration, officials.
Over 150 medical practitioners, representatives from different government
departments, NGOs participated on the occasion.
Around 35 health services providers (Doctors, Lady Supervisors, ANMs
ASHAs) got rewards as best performer from DC and CM&HO on the
occasion.
Health has been a key social development index assessing the well being
of communities and a decisive factor for different level of intervention
required. At Cairn India it is our endeavour to enhance health seeking
behaviour of communities both through preventive as well as curative
action with special focus on reproductive and child health.
