in this chapter some of the civil engineering structures which we need to construct to bypass the minor geographical variations in the path of flat primary canal like river elevator (dam like structure with the discharging gate at the top to make the river water top level to rise to the desired level), canal elevator (dam like structure constructed across the valley / water pathway and along the course of the canal with receiving and discharging ends at the ends of the structure to maintain the desired level of water all along the course of the canal), direct canal connector (the deep surface canal created to by pass the long useless course of the canal when there is minor elevation in the curves of the same canal), bi dam (the parallel dam like structure constructed to overcome the minor depressions of the land and as we are not getting the desired land level in the course of the canal) and so on.
