Speaker: Kevin as The Best Man
Specific Purpose: To honor the bride and groom with a memorable, classy and unique toast
Thesis Statement: I believe that each person has someone you are extremely compatible with and
share an incredibly deep and passionate lifelong bond, a soulmate.
Introduction
I.Attention getter: Good evening, everyone. I first met the bride and groom, Jacob and Nicole
in college. This year will be 20 years, I ve known them. As young adults, we grow up together
and I was the one to hook them up. Yes, I m taking all credit. We were all at the club one night,
just turning up and Jacob said, she fine . I could tell from the way his eyes lit up at that moment
he found his soulmate, at the club. The rest is history. I knew she was the one for him and they
were so compatible. They talked the entire night and now they are here as husband and wife. I m
proud of them. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Establishment of ethos: My name is Kevin; I m here as the Best Man.

that person you are married too. And that s perfectly normal but communication is the key. You
have to listen and value each other s role in the marriage. Being married is a union where you are
both trying to help each other grow, so never give up on each other. Keep the faith, run with faith,

Economic Consequences Of Teen Moms
recognizes their moms struggle and for the most part are comprising. Through our lives we
developing numerous life skills that are used to help with our problem solving skills and other
challenges. Since, teen moms are adolescence themselves they like adult experiences and
knowledge such as budgeting, and educational qualifications. Children who come from poor
household tend to fall in a cycle of violence or emotional stress. Teen moms either have a high
school diploma or equivalent which can only get them a job to stay within the the poor population.
Majority of teen moms stop at high school because college isn t ideal financially. The less
educated background a mom has the more likely their children will fall into the unskilled workforce
and negatively affect the economy. As adolescencethis discourages children to socially active and
participant in extra curriculum activities.
Affluent individuals are more likely to have the social bridges and networks that collectively
benefit children by giving them access to a wider array of resources. Unfortunately, social and
economic changes of the past decade resulted in exodus of many affluent individuals and families
from the urban centers. (Atkins, Hart, pg.159). Since, the neighborhoods are full of crime most
professional and qualified advocates aren t willing to risk their safety. Therefore, if there are any
extra festivities going on they aren t local or affordable for a teen mom. Economic consequences of

Monsters Social Commentary
Monsters (2010) is a modern day fictional monster film which, acts as a social commentary,
touching upon political dilemmas, science fiction, romance and public anxieties. The narrative
of the film based in Mexico is a world in which the monsters are huge octopus like aliens. For the
past 6 years they have lived in a large area of Mexico that has now been confined as an infected
zone however, a huge wall has been built on the Mexico USA border to keep the aliens out. The film
follows a photographer; one of the main characters, Andrew, and his boss daughter (Sam) the other
main character as he warily attempts to escort her safely back to her father in the USA after a
rogue alien attack left her injured, and the romance between the two throughout their journey. This
film uses these aliens with dramatic, symbolic effect to also act as a metaphorical narrative for
current societal issues; offering a pragmatic analysis of these underlying... Show more content on

The image of the warzone is elaborated throughout the film, with the settings including tanks,
weapons and general destruction. Another scene in the film when Andrew and Sam got in the
cab, seeing the destructed buildings and Sam asked the taxi driver, Do you feel safe living
here? and the taxi driver replied, Where would we go? My work, my family is all here. This
representation is an iconic resemblance imitating areas of real present civilian conflict zones such
as those in Afghanistan and Iraq, portraying the destruction of the lives of the people who live
there and the difficulties faced by those who have loved ones entangled in conflict, either as a
military or civilian presence. Although we are aware that this destruction was in fact caused by
conflict between military and the aliens, the way the scene has been composed and edited shows
clear visual similarities to images depicted in the media of destruction in contemporary

Culture and History of Prague
Prague is the only city to remain intact in Europe today that didn t get destroyed in world war ll.
It was one of Hitler s favorite cities as well as mine, because of it s rich, culture and history.
Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic has breath taking sites to see, majestic, mountainous
geography and a booming economy, that pull people from all over! Pragues old world charm makes
it an admirable place to live. The geography of Prague has affected much of it s development.
Prague is the largest city in Czech Republicand is landlocked. Fertile soil, resources, water streams,
and rivers, such as the Viata played a big role in the development. Bohemiain West consists of
rolling plains, hills and plateaus surrounded by low mountain. Moravia in the east consists of
hilly country. The location of Prague creates extreme weather patterns and wildly varying
seasons, from mild to cold. In the summer it can ranging from 20 degrees C to 30 degrees C. The
average low and nighttime temperatures are quite pleasant. However, this season brings the most
rainfall and thunderstorms. In the early fall you may see temperature highs of about 22 degrees
celsius. Later, such as November temperatures may reach a low of 4 degrees C. It is a great
season to visit Prague, but a little rainfall may be bothersome. In the winter snow is common and at
night temperatures can be freezing. During the day temperatures usually do not reach below
freezing. Spring is the best season to visit Prague.

Courtroom Reflection Paper
On July 31, 2017, I remember leaving early from band camp to observe the courtroom in order to
write this paper. I pulled up the address of the courtroom on google maps, and I followed the
direction to evacuate myself out of the school parking lot. I had made two wrong turns due to
my horrible sense of directions, but I was still able to get to my final destination on time. The
parking lot was packed at the Greene County Courthouse, therefore I had to park across the street
which was still pretty packed. Being my first time at the Courthouse, I was completely clueless
that there would be two officers performing security checks. Now writing this paper, I felt so
ignorant not knowing that there would be some type of security involved when entering the
county courthouse. The officer holds on to my keys and my purse was slowly being transported
through the scanner. I, on the other hand, had to walk through a metal door scan. After I was
released, I saw a big TV with judges names, times of the day, division numbers, and the names of
cases. I went to Division 26, which is JudgeCarrier s room, and I was planning on watching the
trial that was supposed to begin at 3 O clock. On my way there I was quite interested at the
structure of the building. The elevator could transport to all three floors, but the stairs only connect
the first and the second floor. In order to get from the second floor to the third floor, it is
impossible unless you take the elevator. It could be that the

The Collective Bargaining And Negotiation Process
Almost everyone employed by a school district may participate in a collective bargaining unit or an
organized group of job positions represented by an association. The association then participates in
a joint decision making process, involving direct negotiations to determine wages, hours of work or
other terms and conditions of employment for all employees in that unit. The collective bargaining
process between a board of education and any association of united teachers, service personnel or
administrators can have a wide range of effects for everyone involved in that district and
community, especially the students. The regional school district being utilized for this review is
that of a large regional school district, serving about 7,000 students in grades 9 through 12, in the
largest county in the state. It is an affluent community of parents and community members from
eight municipalities who recognize the value of education and actively support the schools.
Historically, teachers, parents and administrators within the district have enjoyed a good, working
relationship. As a result of this ongoing positive relationship, the collective bargaining and
negotiation processes between the four associations in the district are relatively downplayed and
quiet. Several associations negotiate collective bargaining agreements with the regional the local
teacher s education association, public school employee association, district administrators

Analysis Of Perseverance By Maya Angelou
Perseverance You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be
necessary to encounter the defeats, so you know who you are, what you can rise from, how you
can still come out of it (Maya Angelou). In all the nonfiction books read in class perseverance is
the main concept in each story. The dictionary defines perseverance as continued effort to do or
achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition : the action or condition or an
instance of persevering . In terms of usage, perseverance is a noun. Common synonyms for
perseverance include persistence and steadfastness . The antonyms of perseverance is giving up
and not trying. This is important because perseverance is having to keep trying... Show more content

Everyday Melba was taunted, spit on, yelled at, and had her heels walked on but persevered
through it all and never gave up. Malala Yousafzai persevered everyday to try to get an equal
education. Malala never gave up trying to get an equal education and wanted to be treated no
different because she was a girl. Coach Thomas known as Ed demonstrated perseverance
towards his family, friends, and his AP football team. Ed always pushed the boys to their best
ability and never treated anyone negatively. He not only was a coach he was a role model,
inspiration, and a leader to the entire community. Each individual wanted to make an impact on
everyone s life. Nonfiction literature represents the understanding of perseverance and connects to
influencing readers by doing anything, no matter the difficulty of achieving a certain goal and
connects an individual by behavioral traits and feelings they have. Melba Pattillo Beals in
Warriors Don t Cry demonstrates how she never gave up and looked at all the positives. Nine
students including Melba immigrated a school system, but did not get treated well. While the nine
students wanted to give up they did not let anyone stop them and kept going back to school. A
large crowd of jeering, pencil throwing students hovered around us menacingly. We had no choice
but to go forward (162). Perseverance is the author s purpose because this demonstrates how the
nine students never gave up even as they went through

Madrid, Spain on the twenty second of August, 2007 with my two traveling companions, Doug

street elaborately decorated old brick building. The slate had a gray blue tint covering the structure

balconies on any given angle. Casting your eyes below you could see matching umbrellas shading
tables with folks chatting and eating throughout the day. The neighboring side streets were filled

Gloria Play Analysis
The play that was chosen to be adapted to film was, Gloria. Gloria , is written by Branden Jacobs
Jenkins. The play was first performed in the theater on May 28, 2015 and has only remained on
the stage. Gloria , is definitely a cinematic piece of work, which means it has qualities that will
adapt well into a film. What qualities in the play make it cinematic? First, the dialogue in the
play will certainly adapt well when creating a film. The structure of the play is another cinematic
quality as well as the jump cuts throughout the course of the performance. Gloria , is a two act
play. When adapting this play to film, one important aspect is the different shots that are being
filmed. Whose face do you want showing? What angle is the camera? Do you want the character
being filmed to look superior or weak? Also, how the locations are going to come into play for
the making of the film. The climactic scene is when Gloria opens fire in the office and kills
almost everyone including herself. This scene is at the end of Act 1 on pages mid 29 30. I would
choose for the killing scene to not be shown but mainly heard. Running and reactions are the only
parts of people that I want seen in the film. In the play, there... Show more content on

rude and two faced, like when he talks about Gloria s party behind her back right before he told her

Montana Movie. I chose Lucas because he is now in his late 20 s but also attractive and I think he
could play the part very well, especially with his quirky smile. For the character of Devin, Dean s
look alike, I would choose Jeremy Irvine from, War Horse. Jeremy does not have blonde hair like
Lucas but for the film it could be

Essay on Hosea
Hosea
Hosea (c.784 c.725 BC)
After the death of King Solomon, the united tribes of Israel split into 2 kingdoms the southern
kingdom of Judah, with the capital remaining at Jerusalem, and the northern kingdom of Israel,
with the capital at Samaria. The northern kingdom lasted just over 200 years before they were
conquered and taken away into exile by the Assyrians. They never returned, and have become
known to history as the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel.
The southern kingdom lasted slightly over 300 years before they were conquered and taken into
exile by the Babylonians under King Nebuchadnezzar. Unlike the northern kingdom however, a
remnant of the southern kingdom was allowed to return and resettle Jerusalem in the time ... Show

God does strange things at times, things we don t always understand, things we can t categorize,
things that don t fit into what we think we know of him. And this is one of those strange things.
Perhaps Hosea then began to understand a little bit of what God was doing. He knew it was
customary in Israel to teach by symbols God often used this method of instructing his people and
that names were very important. God often used the meanings of names to teach Israel certain
truths just as we shall see in the case of Isaiah later on. Now God was planning to use this prophet
and his family as an example for his people.
Hosea obeyed the will of God, went to court Gomer, and they were married. At first it was
heaven on earth. Hosea loved this girl. You can t read this prophecy without seeing that. They
must have been wonderfully happy together, and then they had their first child. It was a boy, as
God had said. Bear in mind that it was the result of adultery on Gomer s part. Hosea s heart was
filled to bursting, and he went to God for the name of this boy. What should we name the boy?
To his surprise, God picked the name Jezreel. Now Jezreel means cast away and was a name of
shame in Israel. He represented the hypocrisy and adultery of Israel, and he was a foreshadowing
of what was to come in divine discipline

Chest Pain Diagnostic Studies
How would you evaluate and manage a pediatric patient who has a chest pain? Which diagnostic
studies would you recommend for this patient and why? When would you refer the patient to a
specialist? Chest pain is a common presenting symptom among nearly 10% of school age
children seeking health care services. Studies have shown that at least 80% of pediatric patients
seeking medical evaluation for chest pain are not cardiac related, hence, the diagnosis of non
cardiac chest pain (NCCP). On the other hand, if cardiac cause is a possibility, a prompt referral to

An Observational Study Design That Could Be Appropriately...
An observational study design that could be appropriately used by an APN to study the above
research question is a cross sectional study design. Important questions to make this study
applicable, is it appropriate; is the characteristics between prevalent and incident cases a factor;
have other explanations been ruled out?
According to Curley Vitale (2012), the cross sectional study determines the exposure and outcomes
at the same time. It provides a snap shot at one point in time. The information obtained was about
the relationship of Tuberculosis and the White Ethnic group of males during a single point in time,
1993 and 2011. Cross sectional studies are applicable for screening the hypothesis due to the fact
they require a small time frame and minimal resources to manag e.
Cross sectional study design has been utilized to comprehend the prevalence of diseases,
treatments, services and outcomes. Cross sectional study strengths contain surveys that are
inexpensive and takes a shorter time to complete, and can provide descriptive data about the
population of people involved in the study. The study can be useful for assessing risk factor
prevalence rate, a means to compare groups, has the ability to study fatal diseases within a smaller
population, and can study multiple exposures (Curley Vitale, 2012).
Cross sectional weaknesses are unable to measure or determine exposures exactly because the
outcome and exposure is done simultaneously. There can be bias of variable

Negative Consequences Of Fighting In Hockey
It s All Fun and Games When Someone Gets Hurt
Since the beginning of hockey, fans have gone crazy for the entertainment fights bring to the
games. The punches thrown, blood drawn and players knocked out certainly excites the crowd
and are part of the culture of the game. In fact, it is so widely accepted, that teams specifically
hire big guys to be enforcers that protect the rest of the team and throw the punches no one else
cares to. Despite its duration in the league, do these fights have negative consequences as well?
Lately, there has been great controversy over whether or not to continue to allow fighting in the
league. The N.H.L. hasn t declared any rule against fighting, but rather, has created a set of rules to
outline the penalties and define the responsibilities of fights (National Hockey League: Official
Rules 2014 2015). What the N.H.L. lacks, however, is a statement with evidence to support why
they have chosen to allow fighting. With the current uproar, the League should consider the
unfortunate facts and reassess their decision. The official rules, specifically rule 46, cover everything

Still, should fighting in hockey be banned? Unfortunately, in order to bring a halt to many of the
issues that strike controversy today (e.g. concussions, depression, anxiety, morality) it seems that an
ultimatum against fighting in hockey is needed. Truly, these issues need to be taken into
consideration; they are too prevalent not to. While the N.H.L. has written extensive rules to keep
fights in control when they do occur, the League has yet to explain any benefits from facilitating
the fighting at all. So whether the league decides to allow fighting or not, the decision should be
made and should be made with caution and appropriate evaluation of evidence. Clearly, the
evidence for banning fights is pervasive; thus, if the League desired that fighting remain in

The Reign Of Elizabeth I
The reign of Elizabeth I is often thought of as a Golden Age. It was a time of extravagance and
luxury in which a flourishing popular culture was expressed through writers such as
Shakespeare, and explorers like Drake and Raleigh sought to expand England s territory
overseas. This sense of well being was embodied by Queen Elizabeth who liked to wear
sumptuous costumes and jewellery, and be entertained in style at her court. But life in Tudor
England did not always reflect such splendour. The sixteenth century was also a time when the
poor became poorer, books and opinions were censored, and plots to overthrow the Queen were
rife. Elizabeth s ministers had to employ spies and even use torture to gain information about
threats to her life. In 1558 the Protestant preacher John Knox wrote, It is more than a monster in
nature that a woman should reign and bear empire over man. So was he right? Were women fit
to rule the country? The people had lived through the unpopular reign of Mary I, known as
Bloody Mary for her merciless persecution of Protestants. Lady Jane Grey was Queen for only a
matter of days before being toppled and eventually executed. And Mary Queen of Scots made a
series of ill judged decisions which led her to the executioner s block in 1587. Elizabeth could be
as ruthless and calculating as any King before her. Elizabeth was a different kind of Queen: quick
witted, clever and able to use feminine wiles to get her own way. Elizabeth could be as

National Assessment Of Adult Literacy
Illiteracy can be easily defined as not having the skill or the ability to read this sentence. Every
year, more children grow up without the ability to read. This results in students dropping out of
high school. Literacy is vital element to education and illiteracy can greatly affect an individual.
The National Assessment of Adult Literacystates that literacy is using printed and written
information to function in society, to achieve one s goals, and to develop one s knowledge and
potential ( Literacy Surveys ). Without the ability to read, an individual cannot achieve any of their
goals or rise to meet their potential. People are looking to the government for funding to resolve the
literacy issue. Government funding and the development of new programs can substantially
decrease the amount of illiterate American citizens. Yet, more needs to be done to improve literacy
rates across the country.
There are many factors that could be causing the drop of literacy in the United States. Poverty is
one of the largest causes of illiteracy today (Nayak). Students and families living in poverty are
more likely to be illiterate than students and families living with strong financial standings.
Families dealing with tough financial situations are often more focused on providing food and
shelter for their children rather than sending them to school (Nayak). Therefore, these children are
not being encouraged to obtain an education. Little to no education for a young child can

How Does Bloor Present The Theme Of Tangerine Change...
Our first instinct when change is near to intertwining with our lives is to run away from the
monster that might turn our lives around in seconds. Nevertheless, Edward Bloor tackles this
belief in his novel Tangerine with his own unique perspective, that change could result to a new
start or adventure if we are willing to accept it into our lives. The novel Tangerine follows the
perspective of Paul Fisher:an aspiring soccer star, the supposedly imperfect younger brother of
golden boy Erik Fisher, and legally blind. Most people would assume being blind is Paul s worst
burden, but with Paul moving to Tangerine,Florida to be in the shadows of his older football star

The evidence is present through these two quotes: At this spot, we cut a slit into the rough

can keep you scared(251). The first quote happened at the grove where Luis was talking about
how the Gold Dawn tree is formed, and the bud represents Paul. Paul went through the the same
process as the bud to form the Golden Dawn tree. Paul was first placed in this new town he wasn

the truth in Tangerine, so he sealed his old past away, where he was fearful and clueless, and he
blossomed into someone completely different. The second quote was when Paul confronted the
young boy after the boy tried to warn him about the rumored gator lurking in the pond. Paul was
angry and let his emotions loose;when the boy told Paul that his parents would never tell him
stories to make him scared. It was an infuriating situation for Paul to see that this boy was making
the same mistakes he did when he was younger, believing in his parent s lies, and he ended up
shouting at the boy that all those stories were lies to make

My Vacation In Life
The feel of the hot sun beating down on my forehead. The sound of people cheering and
chatting. The taste of the delicious sample of fudge that I was just given from a small shop. I
come across a huge billboard in bold blue letters. Where am I? I have just arrived in Branson,
Missouri, where my family and I plan to have an amazing vacation away from home. To arrive in
Branson, we first had to drive down to Missouri in my mom s silver van. As it was my parents,
my three brothers, and me, the car was very crowded with all of our belongings that we needed
for the trip crammed into the car with us. During the long and arduous car ride that dragged on
for hours and hours, we figured out all of the activities that we hope to attend throughout the week
of our trip. After discussing all of our plans, we decide that we will go to Silver Dollar City, which
is an amusement park, a waterpark called White Water, and many stores including Branson s
Landing, Tanger Outlets and the Five and Dimes store. My dad is very organized, and he is also
a perfectionist. He takes out a yellow lined notebook and writes down a list of everything we are
going to do for each day of the four day long vacation. As he finishes, we finally arrive in
Branson, so we quickly check in, grab our room keys, and take all of our belongings up to our
room. In my opinion, I believe that unpacking everything and taking it up the five flights of stairs
where our room is located is the worst part of the

Financial Advice Essay
In the early 1980s, there was an economic downturn in Australia, to find out the cause of this event,
the Australian government has established a financial system survey in the year 1996. This survey
was conducted by a businessman named Stan Wallis. He published his investigation report in 1997,
titled the final report of the deregulation of financial services; it commonly referred to as the Wallis
Report . Wallis found that the most suitable structure for Australia will then include two regulators:
one who is responsible for prudential regulation of any entity that needs to be cautiously supervised;
another one is the market and management of any financial products that are provided to the
Australian consumers.

There are over 5 million men and woman who are in prison. According to
(wrongfulconvictionsblog.org/2013) says that every last few decades, states have been steadily

the State of Ohio their three Tiers that sex offenders fall under. The first tier is tier one which
means that an adult or juvenile who are found negligent of any reason by the sexually oriented

next 15 years with county sheriff in which the individual lives. That is one example of how a sex
offender has to register everywhere they go. The question is being that how many men and
woman are falsely accused? It s actually easier than you might think. According to the article says
that the National Registry of Exonerations has reported on its data for the period 1989 2012,
which includes data for 305 wrongful sex offender convictions, and please keep in mind this
represents only a small fraction of the wrongful convictions that actually occur .
In conclusion, Megan s Law is a great law that we have in the United States of America.
But there are flaws in this law that falsely accused many people of crimes that they don t commit
and they have to register for the rest of their lives. Lastly, the law does not stop sex offenders to

Warrior Women Oppression
Warrior Women: Oppression and Strength of Female Protagonists in Mrs. Dalloway, The Woman
Warrior, and The Handmaid s Tale In most history books, women get far fewer pages than men.
This is sometimes attributed to a lack of material left behind by women through time, but this and
their relative lack of coverage are both testaments to the limits placed on women in the male
dominated societies of the times discussed. An article on feminist literary criticism quotes Virginia
Woolf saying, womanpervaded poetry from cover to cover but was in fact the slave of any boy
whose parents forced a ring on her finger (Lanser 5). In more recent history, strong female voices

of oppression by the customs of patriarchal societies, cultural gender stereotypes, and psychological
factors manipulated against them. As mentioned in the quote above from Virginia Woolf s Jacob s
Room, in controlling societies, marriage can be utilized as a way of submitting women to the rule
of a man or limiting their options in society by confining them to the roles thought acceptable for
a wife. This theme is continued in Mrs. Dalloway, as marriage is displayed as a form of sacrifice

Michelangelo was an Art prodigy in florence during the renaissance and attended the
Medici Arts school. The Medici s had control over the entire florentine government, and the italian

spread the ideas of the renaissance like secularism, humanism, civiculism . When

thereafter he strived for greatness. Lorenzo recognized this and took Michelangelo into the Medici

Puppy Mill Speech
Puppies are amazing, special creatures that seem to be born with that unconditional unique quality
of love and loyalty for their humans. Depending on the prospective owner, dogs make the best of
companions, with the potential to love, cuddle and play.
Annually, there are more than 6 million puppies born throughout the United States alone. Similar to
the human newborn, puppies are born without teeth. They also cannot see, hear or smell. They gain
their senses typically between 9 and 12 days old and totally rely on mom during that time.
Not all puppies are lucky enough to have the best start in life, subjecting them to some of the most
horrendous conditions, especially those born and raised in puppy mills or puppy farms. If you

The Maternal Mortality Rate Of Afghanistan Essay
Goal 5
The fifth goal is to increase maternal health in countries with a focus on reducing the maternal
mortality rate by three fourths and universal access to reproductive health both by 2015. Despite a
43% reduction in maternal deaths since 1990, there are still a large number of women who die
during childbirth from preventable causes such as hemorrhaging (United Nations, 2015, p. 38).
In 2002 Afghanistan reported a baseline figure of 1,600 deaths per 100,000 with a 2015 targeted
reduction to 315 (Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, 2013, p. 53). While Afghanistan was able to
reach the original goal it had set for itself, new goals were created to combat the continuous high
number of maternal deaths. Afghanistan has identified general lack of family planning, a limited
supply of qualified midwives, and limited access to health care in general as contributing factors
towards such high maternal death rates. The state has been working with UNICEF, WHO, and other
international partners to implement its National Reproductive health strategy to help combat the
conditions in which Afghanistan mothers find themselves.
Goal 6
The sixth goal is to combat HIV/AIDS and other diseases, focusing on reversing their spread and
providing universal access to treatment. We have seen progress made in most countries towards
achieving this goal, with the statistics falling every day, however, we are far from the finish line as
a little over 2 million people still contract AIDS/HIV.

Descriptive Essay About Goldfinger Concert
Crowd surfing at a Goldfinger Concert was the best feeling i ve ever experienced, but getting a
cigarette put out on your back isn t the best feeling in the world. I went to a Sublime with Rome,
The offspring, The Urge, Reel Big Fish, and Goldfinger concert this september for my birthday
with my friends harrison, travis, kam, harrison, and brogan. While we were listening to
Goldfinger perform, we tried to get into the moshpit that was going on at the front of the
concert. First, we got our blankets and pillows ready on the lawn of the main stage and got
some snacks from the snack bar, Which was very, very expensive. A red bull was $5 and a 20oz
bottle of water was about $7. Not the best prices difference between water and a red bull. We got
back to the main venue and the urge just started performing. I didn t really know any songs by
them so i just sat there and ate my food that i got from the snack bar and my backpack that i
filled with snacks. The urge ended and we went to the other venue where people were all
migrating to to see the Beastie Boys cover band perform. The bass of the songs that they were
playing were literally making my ears move into my brain. They played a couple more songs
and left the venue. After that we went back to the snack bar and got more water and a little more
snacks for the meantime while the other bands were getting ready to perform. We just got to the
Goldfinger performance and tried to get to the front of the concert by pushing and shoving
people out of the way. It was pretty much impossible to get to the front of the venue because
every time we got closer there were more people bunched up together trying to get closer.
Eventually some guy in a wheelchair came through and we followed the guys behind him but he
suddenly got stopped in the middle of the crowd. Then, we asked these two big guys with muscles
the side of yachts. Harrison went up first and started heading to the front surfing in the crowd.
People weren t paying much attention behind them because they were focused on the concert, so
harrison eventually got dropped onto the floor, but the guy next to him lifted him up again and he
made it to the front of the concert still crowd surfing. The same people lifted me

Arthritis Experiments
Background/Introduction:
Arthritis patients has inflammation in their joints where chronic pain is a common symptom.
Although the mechanism linking pain with arthritis is unknown, it is suggested that the extension
of autonomic sympathetic fibers into the upper dermal layer of the skin may explain the sensation
of chronic pain that arthritis patients experience. Hence, the goal of Longo et al. s experiment was
to investigate the changes of innervations in the skin directly above the inflamed joints and how
this change correlates with the perception of pain. Additionally, the effects of guanethidine on
pain, as well as, the changes in protein levels of pro NGF (nerve growth factor) and mature NGF

Many marketplace leaders express a desire to have greater impact for God in the workplace, but
their view and understanding of Kingdom ministry hinders them. The common belief that
sacred is separate from secular is pervasive among marketplace believers. This view is
detrimental to the advancement of the Kingdom. Contrary to this belief, Scripture represents a
holistic approach, which views work as worship with all believers as one of a kind ministers of
God s grace in the context in which He places them. A deficient understanding of the importance
of a God given calling to serve the Kingdom in a marketplace vocation weakens a believer s
perspective and witness as he or she seeks to engage with unsaved humanity. Also, many Spirit
filled marketplace ministers lack hope and faith that the gifts of the Spirit will operate through
them in workplace contexts. The present state of corruption, greed, and moral failure among
leaders in corporate America bears witness to the need for the Church to more effectively engage
in the marketplace. Informed and relevant equipping and empowering of workplace believers by
knowledgeable church leaders can help direct God s followers toward this goal. Greater and more

Analyzing Clinton s Speech About Women s Rights
Analyzing Clinton s speech about women s rights. On September 5, 1995, many countries came
together in Beijing China to hear Hillary Clinton s speech about women s rights. This speech was
the United Nations Fourth World Conference of Women. Clinton addressed problems that needed
to be corrected in many countries around the world, including the United States regarding the
liberties of women, and why it was authoritative that they receive these freedoms. According to
Clinton s speech (1995), The great challenge of this conference is to give voice to women
everywhere whose experiences go unnoticed, whose words go unheard (pg.2). In her speech she
strategically used ethos, pathos and logos. Clinton made it clear that she understands the callous
disregard women received and expressed her thoughts using ethos. For the first part Clinton states
that Earlier today, I participated in a World Health Organization forum. In that forum, we talked
about ways that government officials, NGOs, and individual citizens are working to address the
health problems of women and girls. Tomorrow, I will attend a gathering of the United Nations

hopefully unharmed both physically and mentally, safe from the wrath of war. War and violencecan

Quarterback Mac Newton s Arguments Of Cam Newton
This Wednesday Carolina Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton made comments in a press
conference that were pretty clearly sexist in nature. When asked a question about Devin Funchess
and the growth in his route running Cam Newton simply laughed and said it was funny to hear a
female asking a question about routes. After this absurd reaction Cam Newton did proceed to
answer the question but there is still serious confusion to why Cam Newton reacted that way.
Throughout his career Newton has been respectful to reporters of both sexes and this outburst is
completely unexpected. Due to his comments Cam Newton has lost his Dannnon endorsement. The
reporter Jourdan Rodrigue also reported that she sought out Cam Newton after he left the locker

Odyssey In Walden
In Walden, Henry David Thoreau remarks, I went to the woods because I wished to live
deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to
teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived (61). Thoreau is a man who is
known to simply live by restraining his necessities; in order to thrive on and live life to it s
utmost potential. Unsatisfied with his life, he comprehends that there is an extraordinary
purpose to live on Earth. Merely abstracting himself from a urban society to seek out principles in
which to live a refined life, he proceeds an odyssey inside of nature, in which he self built and lived
in a log cabin. In all respects, his two years of living nearby WaldenPond,... Show more content on

Thoreau s life objective was to become self sufficiency and simply live.
He described poor man as a clumsy Irish laborer, since he slipped into a pond, and desired warmth
due to his survival instincts. Walden centered around the 18th century, which is relevant to the Irish
potato famine. The potato famine caused an uproar in Ireland, which caused emigration to several
parts of the world, including the United States. American businesses tried to suppress the nuisance,
and American s dislike of the Irish caused many to find menacing jobs that were life threatening,
which explains why he pitied the poor Irish

Essay about Communication within groups
There are many different kinds of groups that exist between college students that deal with
communication they range from sports teams to many community or social groups. The type of
organizations that are mostly found in many colleges today are Greek letter organizations. In this

the history of Sororities, then I am going to write about how important it communication is during

There are different types of sororities. There are four basic types of Greek letter organizations:
social, professional, academic or honorary, and service. Of these, social Greek letter organizations
are most popular (Encarta). The first social sorority started in 1851 by women at Wesleyan College
in Macon, Georgia. The women founded the Adelphean Society, which later became a Greek letter
sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. Other early Greek letter sororities for women included Pi Beta Phi,
established in 1867 at Monmouth College, in Monmouth, Illinois, and Kappa Alpha Theta,
established in 1870 at DePauw University (formally Indiana Asbury College) in Greencastle,
Indiana (Encarta).
Social sororities contribute to the social development of members through organized social events
and service projects. Many chapters maintain houses on or near the campus where members can
meet and hold social functions. Social sororities are known for their parties, dances, and other
social activities (Encarta) . Many sororities encourage those interested ladies to go out and get to
know people , and members of the sorority itself. Given the minimum requirement that pledges be
academically capable of maintaining membership, the organizations that selected them are likely to

Social Media Controversy
Action Essay: Social Media s Influence on Television Social media is the use of websites or
applications that enable users to create or share content. The influence of social media has grown
in the past decade to the extent that some people consider it a source of reliable information. It is
taken from what they heard and shared between family, friends, and strangers. The information that
is posted on social networks are not checked and instead are taken as fact and then are given to
someone else as news. This cycle continues until the truth is no longer known unless accessed by
the news. The problem with this is giving information that even the writer is not sure of, will only
lead to confusion and controversy.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Social media by itself is not a threat, for it was created for the purpose of entertainment, like
television. Although television also holds the important job of conveying information using the
news. In our current times, social media is the new method of obtaining information quickly
about events. Even though when most people search social media rather than actual news
companies, they do not realize how unreliable it truly is. Twitter especially is credited with
playing a role as a source of credible information. It has evolved far beyond its origin of being a
simple way to keep in contact with friends. In a recent study done by ING, it was shown that one
third of journalists said social media posts are not a reliable source of information. When news
of recent events is given on Twitter, it is called into question because it is unable to be
determined how true it is. As stated by Johnson and Kaye we must rely on the credibility of its
user. This proves that social networks are not credible sources at all and Twitter is a social
network so how can it be trusted? Even knowing this, we still consider consumer opinion to be
more reliable than a statement by an organization. If social media continues to do the job of the
news not only will television be affected because of the lack of viewers, but we the people will no
longer know what is actuality or lies. No one likes to be lied to, so why

Comparing Jane Eyre And The Horse Dealer s Daughter
Women as Outsiders: A Comparison Of Jane Eyre and The Horse Dealer s Daughter Women are
often portrayed as a marginalized other or outsider in literature, reflecting the degree to which
they are outside the traditional patriarchal concepts of authority and power as well as (for much
of Western history) outside the practical and legal means of self sufficiency and self direction. As
the times have shifted, the particular perspective and definition of women as outsiders has also
changed, as can be seen in a comparison of the central figures in Charlotte Bronte s Victorian era
novelJane Eyreand D. H. Lawrence s more modern short story The Horse Dealer s Daughter.
Interestingly, both heroines are seen as similarly detached from traditional power structures, yet
the degree to which Jane distances herself through her morality actually gives her power, while
the increasing amorality of the times leads Mabel (Lawrence s protagonist) down a path of
deeper despair, self directed though it may be. In Jane Eyre, the title female is an outcast almost
everywhere she goes, from an orphan in the home of her uncle s family to the school at Lowood
where she eventually finds a niche but where she does not truly belong and finally to Thornfield
Hall, where she fits in all too well but finds that her familiarity is ultimately inappropriate. In all
of her moves, Jane is driven largely by necessity the need for shelter, and then the need for work.
She is also driven by her own moral

On one hand he felt pride of his family and his own accomplishments in life. On the other hand he

showing that damnation in not inherited but chosen and is redeemable though human agency.
Analyzing the historical background of Nathaniel Hawthorne and his relation with Puritanism and
its impact in his work, the pivotal point of Young Goodman Brown is to demonstrate that society
can be described as a brotherhood of both good and evil and the damnation of each person is
decided by its own actions.

Centralized training and registration for Service Dogs
Dessie Marek
UMUC
Abstract
In today s evolving society, there is more mobility that ever for people with disabilities. One of
the things that allows this to happen is the use of service animals. Problems however arise when
people try to cheat the system. Attempts to pass off pets as service animals, improperly trained
animals, and businesses with lack of knowledge on laws all contribute to ongoing frustrations. The
need for a centralized training standard as well as government registration and regulation of
service animals is clear and immediate. If standards can be established within breeding clubs for

Assistance dogs such as emotional support dogs are not trained for tasks or needs of the owner
but rather to provide companionship for the owner. The main reason people are offered an
emotional support dogs is to help cope with mental or behavioral health issues that do not
require assistance outside of the house. Emotional support dogs are often given to victims of
domestic violence and children with emotional disorders. The biggest difference between the
emotional support dogs and service dogs is that while emotional support dogs are trained to
comfort and be there emotionally for their owners at home, they are not needed for daily living
support like service dogs are. One of the primary reason that emotional support dogs would need to
be identified as such is to take advantage of the loophole provided in the law. (Huss, 2012) So
service dogs need training. One of the problems with people who need a service dog is that it is hard
to know where to start. Their doctor tells them that they need one and gives them a letter stating so,
but then they are on their own. Most people look to service dog organizations. These organizations
train the dogs to their own set standard and will try to match them up with the right dog for their
needs. This all of course comes at a cost to the disabled person. (who already has many extra costs
in life.) The costs can range from five hindered to twenty thousand. One the disabled person has

Is Churchill A Risk Taker
Without question, you could say that Churchill was a risk taker, and not just the average joe at
risk taking but the risk taker where he puts everything on the line without even skipping a beat.
For example, in the Darkest Hour when he puts the lives of 4,000 men to intercept the entire
German army to save the lives of 300,000 was a huge risk. Although that risk was the result of
Operation Dynamo and was a huge success, there were other risks like pushing off the ideas of
peace treaties and disregarding what his war cabinet has to say to him. Throughout the film the
Darkest Hour Churchill makes many risky decisions but putting off the peace treaty negotiations
was probably his biggest risk of all. During that time in history, the possibility

Travel Reflection
Around this time last year, my 2016 s New Year s resolution was nothing more than a thought
rattling around in my brain. I never felt further from my goal of paying off the debt that lingered
from my first attempt at college than when it was only a few hundred dollars out of reach.
Today, I find myself once again struggling with an entirely different New Year s resolution. I made
it my mission in 2017 to polish off a few of the projects that had dragged on over the last few years.
I have real passionsthat I have always considered priorities, but have never received the attention
they require. With this in mind, I know that if I wantto see myself achieve these goals I must get
serious and eliminate potential distractions. Therefore, when I was asked to select three words
that reflect the spirit of that goal, I chose the words travel, education, and focus. Of the three
words, perhaps the one that resounds with me most is travel. I ve always believed that if you
travel, you should focus on places that will help you become the person that you want to be and
you should do it with people that you care about most. Of course, while I certainly did not expect
to find myself in places like Paris or Saigon, I had my heart set on a few cities closer to home. I
began planning trips all over the country from visiting family in Chicago, to exploring cities I had
never seen before like Nashville and Kansas City. As for the rest of 2017, I look forward to visiting
universities,

The more students the counselor sees the more of them can get back to their everyday lives and
living happy and everyone will leave them alone. This could even result in less bullying in the
halls and after school. The ways that the subjective measures of job performance can evaluate
ones job performance is in the graphic rating form which assesses individuals on several
dimensions of performance. This is like rating your job performance on a scale of one to ten. The
boss may make a performance rating on your job to tell the person how he or she is doing that
week. The behavior focused rating scale can be used to focus on ones behavior on the job. If a
person has a good attitude then they may get a good behavior score. If he or she has a bad attitude
he or she may get a bad rating on the behavior score. This depends on the way the person acts and
behaves while doing his or her job. Other members of the staff may also rate ones behavior on the
job. This will help the boss determine if they are getting along with you or if he or she is causing
trouble or are not well liked among your fellow employees. They may make observations on ones
performance as well. If he or she is doing a good job a terrible job or just a good enough jobs then
he or she can be rated on that performance.

New York City, Brooklyn, Queens, And Staten Island Essay
New York City is made up of five boroughs, which include the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan,
Queens, and Staten Island. Within these boroughs, there are high and low income neighborhoods
that contain either high or low status organizational structures or facilities. Each division has their
own characteristics and top attractions, such as the Empire State building, Central Park, or Times
Square. As New York Citymay be known for great food and fun attractions, New York faces
infrastructure problems within each borough. New York City s infrastructure funding is limited in
lower income neighborhoods, where money needed to upkeep the city goes toward prime tourist s
areas or residents living in high status neighborhoods, such as The Upper East Side of Manhattan,
Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, and Lenox Hill, Manhattan. Moreover, abandoned buildings, poor sewage
conditions, and rocky roads and streets are examples of low income area infrastructure problems
that may hinder neighborhood growth both structurally and economically. Harlem, East Brooklyn,
and South Bronx are low income parts of New York that lack new and refined facilities, roads,
plumbing, and fundamental structures, which contribute to high crimeand arrests.
New York faces a various number of infrastructure issues, regardless of the neighborhood status
quo. Many city roads, subways, bridges, water mains, sewer systems, school buildings, and other
public buildings are over 50 years old. More than 200 of New York City s public

Evaluation of Two Preschool Classrooms Using Early...
According to our textbook Student teaching, A quality program is one that exceeds rather than
meets minimum standards for licensure. To help us determine if a preschool classroom/program
provides quality and to help us understand what quality means we were asked to evaluate and
compare two preschool classrooms using the Early ChildhoodEnvironment Rating Scale. The
classrooms I chose to evaluate and compare using the ECERS evaluation tool were the 4year old
classroom at Naples Christian Academy and the 4 year old classroom at The Learning Center.
Below is my comparison of both classrooms using the ECERS evaluation tool. Naples Christian
Academy, as discussed before, serves children from pre k3 to 8th grade. The Learning Center
serves children from age 2 to 5 years old. According to the PAS evaluations that I did for course
EEC 4941, Naples Christian Academy and The Learning Center provide a quality program for
children and families. After observing both 4 year old classrooms for two days, I was able to
determine whether or not both 4 year old classrooms provide quality also. Naples Christian
Academy scored an average score of 6.93on the ECERS and The Learning Center scored an
average score of 6.58 on the ECERS. The first section I evaluated at both locations was space and
furnishings. Naples Christian Academy scores a 7 and The Learning Center scored a 6.25. The

Through our lives we developing numerous life skills that are used to help with our problem solving skills and other challenges. Since, teen moms are adolescence themselves they like adult experiences and knowledge such as budgeting, and educational qualifications. Children who come from poor household tend to fall in a cycle of violence or emotional stress. Teen moms either have a high school diploma or equivalent which can only get them a job to stay within the the poor population. Majority of teen moms stop at high school because college isn t ideal financially. The less educated background a mom has the more likely their children will fall into the unskilled workforce and negatively affect the economy. As adolescencethis discourages children to socially active and participant in extra curriculum activities. Affluent individuals are more likely to have the social bridges and networks that collectively benefit children by giving them access to a wider array of resources. Unfortunately, social and economic changes of the past decade resulted in exodus of many affluent individuals and families from the urban centers. (Atkins, Hart, pg.159). Since, the neighborhoods are full of crime most professional and qualified advocates aren t willing to risk their safety. Therefore, if there are any extra festivities going on they aren t local or affordable for a teen mom. Economic consequences of being a teen ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Monsters Social Commentary Monsters (2010) is a modern day fictional monster film which, acts as a social commentary, touching upon political dilemmas, science fiction, romance and public anxieties. The narrative of the film based in Mexico is a world in which the monsters are huge octopus like aliens. For the past 6 years they have lived in a large area of Mexico that has now been confined as an infected zone however, a huge wall has been built on the Mexico USA border to keep the aliens out. The film follows a photographer; one of the main characters, Andrew, and his boss daughter (Sam) the other main character as he warily attempts to escort her safely back to her father in the USA after a rogue alien attack left her injured, and the romance between the two throughout their journey. This film uses these aliens with dramatic, symbolic effect to also act as a metaphorical narrative for current societal issues; offering a pragmatic analysis of these underlying... Another scene in the film when Andrew and Sam got in the cab, seeing the destructed buildings and Sam asked the taxi driver, Do you feel safe living here? and the taxi driver replied, Where would we go? My work, my family is all here. This representation is an iconic resemblance imitating areas of real present civilian conflict zones such as those in Afghanistan and Iraq, portraying the destruction of the lives of the people who live there and the difficulties faced by those who have loved ones entangled in conflict, either as a military or civilian presence. Although we are aware that this destruction was in fact caused by conflict between military and the aliens, the way the scene has been composed and edited shows clear visual similarities to images depicted in the media of destruction in contemporary ... It was one of Hitler s favorite cities as well as mine, because of it s rich, culture and history. Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic has breath taking sites to see, majestic, mountainous geography and a booming economy, that pull people from all over! Pragues old world charm makes it an admirable place to live. The geography of Prague has affected much of it s development. Prague is the largest city in Czech Republicand is landlocked. Fertile soil, resources, water streams, and rivers, such as the Viata played a big role in the development. Bohemiain West consists of rolling plains, hills and plateaus surrounded by low mountain. Moravia in the east consists of hilly country. The location of Prague creates extreme weather patterns and wildly varying seasons, from mild to cold. In the summer it can ranging from 20 degrees C to 30 degrees C. The average low and nighttime temperatures are quite pleasant. However, this season brings the most rainfall and thunderstorms. In the early fall you may see temperature highs of about 22 degrees celsius. Later, such as November temperatures may reach a low of 4 degrees C. It is a great season to visit Prague, but a little rainfall may be bothersome. In the winter snow is common and at night temperatures can be freezing. • 6. Courtroom Reflection Paper On July 31, 2017, I remember leaving early from band camp to observe the courtroom in order to write this paper. I pulled up the address of the courtroom on google maps, and I followed the direction to evacuate myself out of the school parking lot. I had made two wrong turns due to my horrible sense of directions, but I was still able to get to my final destination on time. The parking lot was packed at the Greene County Courthouse, therefore I had to park across the street which was still pretty packed. Being my first time at the Courthouse, I was completely clueless that there would be two officers performing security checks. Now writing this paper, I felt so ignorant not knowing that there would be some type of security involved when entering the county courthouse. The officer holds on to my keys and my purse was slowly being transported through the scanner. I, on the other hand, had to walk through a metal door scan. After I was released, I saw a big TV with judges names, times of the day, division numbers, and the names of cases. I went to Division 26, which is JudgeCarrier s room, and I was planning on watching the trial that was supposed to begin at 3 O clock. On my way there I was quite interested at the structure of the building. The elevator could transport to all three floors, but the stairs only connect the first and the second floor. In order to get from the second floor to the third floor, it is impossible unless you take the elevator. It could be that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. The Collective Bargaining And Negotiation Process Almost everyone employed by a school district may participate in a collective bargaining unit or an organized group of job positions represented by an association. The association then participates in a joint decision making process, involving direct negotiations to determine wages, hours of work or other terms and conditions of employment for all employees in that unit. The collective bargaining process between a board of education and any association of united teachers, service personnel or administrators can have a wide range of effects for everyone involved in that district and community, especially the students. The regional school district being utilized for this review is that of a large regional school district, serving about 7,000 students in grades 9 through 12, in the largest county in the state. It is an affluent community of parents and community members from eight municipalities who recognize the value of education and actively support the schools. Historically, teachers, parents and administrators within the district have enjoyed a good, working relationship. As a result of this ongoing positive relationship, the collective bargaining and negotiation processes between the four associations in the district are relatively downplayed and quiet. Several associations negotiate collective bargaining agreements with the regional the local teacher s education association, public school employee association, district administrators association, and the ... The dictionary defines perseverance as continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition : the action or condition or an instance of persevering . Coach Thomas known as Ed demonstrated perseverance towards his family, friends, and his AP football team. Ed always pushed the boys to their best ability and never treated anyone negatively. He not only was a coach he was a role model, inspiration, and a leader to the entire community. Each individual wanted to make an impact on everyone s life. Nonfiction literature represents the understanding of perseverance and connects to influencing readers by doing anything, no matter the difficulty of achieving a certain goal and connects an individual by behavioral traits and feelings they have. Melba Pattillo Beals in Warriors Don t Cry demonstrates how she never gave up and looked at all the positives. Nine students including Melba immigrated a school system, but did not get treated well. While the nine students wanted to give up they did not let anyone stop them and kept going back to school. A large crowd of jeering, pencil throwing students hovered around us menacingly. Spain With Great Hopes Of Returning Spain with Great Hopes of Returning Euros, passport, driver s license are held tightly in my left hand while trying to remember where I placed hotel reservations and train schedules standing in line at JFK Airport. My first adventure to Spain included Madrid, Seville, Grenada, and Barcelona serving a dual purpose. To replenish the mind and body, while rekindling the soul by traveling to far and distant lands and expands my horizons is the perfect reward. Awaking in Madrid, Spain on the twenty second of August, 2007 with my two traveling companions, Doug my nephew and Terry my cousin. I recall the warmth of the heat on my face departing the airport via taxi in route to our hostel. The room had magnificent fourteen foot ceilings and grand iron French doors, opening onto a petite balcony overlooking the hustle and bustle of shoppers and vendors below. Regardless which direction your eyes skated, there was nothing but beauty surrounding me. Looking up and out from the balcony my eye catches the rooftop from across the street elaborately decorated old brick building. The slate had a gray blue tint covering the structure of a castle tower. Brightly colored tiles were neatly embedded around the curved windows and iron balconies on any given angle. • 11. Gloria Play Analysis The play that was chosen to be adapted to film was, Gloria. Gloria , is written by Branden Jacobs Jenkins. The play was first performed in the theater on May 28, 2015 and has only remained on the stage. Gloria , is definitely a cinematic piece of work, which means it has qualities that will adapt well into a film. What qualities in the play make it cinematic? First, the dialogue in the play will certainly adapt well when creating a film. The structure of the play is another cinematic quality as well as the jump cuts throughout the course of the performance. Gloria , is a two act play. When adapting this play to film, one important aspect is the different shots that are being filmed. Whose face do you want showing? What angle is the camera? Do you want the character being filmed to look superior or weak? Also, how the locations are going to come into play for the making of the film. The climactic scene is when Gloria opens fire in the office and kills almost everyone including herself. This scene is at the end of Act 1 on pages mid 29 30. I would choose for the killing scene to not be shown but mainly heard. Running and reactions are the only parts of people that I want seen in the film. In the play, there... I chose Lucas because he is now in his late 20 s but also attractive and I think he could play the part very well, especially with his quirky smile. Essay on Hosea Hosea Hosea (c.784 c.725 BC) After the death of King Solomon, the united tribes of Israel split into 2 kingdoms the southern kingdom of Judah, with the capital remaining at Jerusalem, and the northern kingdom of Israel, with the capital at Samaria. The northern kingdom lasted just over 200 years before they were conquered and taken away into exile by the Assyrians. They never returned, and have become known to history as the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel. God does strange things at times, things we don t always understand, things we can t categorize, things that don t fit into what we think we know of him. And this is one of those strange things. Perhaps Hosea then began to understand a little bit of what God was doing. He knew it was customary in Israel to teach by symbols God often used this method of instructing his people and that names were very important. God often used the meanings of names to teach Israel certain truths just as we shall see in the case of Isaiah later on. Now God was planning to use this prophet and his family as an example for his people. Hosea obeyed the will of God, went to court Gomer, and they were married. At first it was heaven on earth. Hosea loved this girl. You can t read this prophecy without seeing that. They must have been wonderfully happy together, and then they had their first child. It was a boy, as God had said. Bear in mind that it was the result of adultery on Gomer s part. Hosea s heart was filled to bursting, and he went to God for the name of this boy. What should we name the boy? To his surprise, God picked the name Jezreel. Now Jezreel means cast away and was a name of shame in Israel. He represented the hypocrisy and adultery of Israel, and he was a foreshadowing of what was to come in divine discipline ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. An Observational Study Design That Could Be Appropriately... An observational study design that could be appropriately used by an APN to study the above research question is a cross sectional study design. Important questions to make this study applicable, is it appropriate; is the characteristics between prevalent and incident cases a factor; have other explanations been ruled out? According to Curley Vitale (2012), the cross sectional study determines the exposure and outcomes at the same time. It provides a snap shot at one point in time. The information obtained was about the relationship of Tuberculosis and the White Ethnic group of males during a single point in time, 1993 and 2011. Cross sectional studies are applicable for screening the hypothesis due to the fact they require a small time frame and minimal resources to manag e. Cross sectional study design has been utilized to comprehend the prevalence of diseases, treatments, services and outcomes. • 15. Negative Consequences Of Fighting In Hockey It s All Fun and Games When Someone Gets Hurt Since the beginning of hockey, fans have gone crazy for the entertainment fights bring to the games. The punches thrown, blood drawn and players knocked out certainly excites the crowd and are part of the culture of the game. In fact, it is so widely accepted, that teams specifically hire big guys to be enforcers that protect the rest of the team and throw the punches no one else cares to. Despite its duration in the league, do these fights have negative consequences as well? Lately, there has been great controversy over whether or not to continue to allow fighting in the league. The N.H.L. hasn t declared any rule against fighting, but rather, has created a set of rules to outline the penalties and define the responsibilities of fights (National Hockey League: Official Rules 2014 2015). What the N.H.L. lacks, however, is a statement with evidence to support why they have chosen to allow fighting. With the current uproar, the League should consider the unfortunate facts and reassess their decision. The official rules, specifically rule 46, cover everything ... Unfortunately, in order to bring a halt to many of the issues that strike controversy today (e.g. concussions, depression, anxiety, morality) it seems that an ultimatum against fighting in hockey is needed. Truly, these issues need to be taken into consideration; they are too prevalent not to. While the N.H.L. has written extensive rules to keep fights in control when they do occur, the League has yet to explain any benefits from facilitating the fighting at all. • 16. The Reign Of Elizabeth I The reign of Elizabeth I is often thought of as a Golden Age. It was a time of extravagance and luxury in which a flourishing popular culture was expressed through writers such as Shakespeare, and explorers like Drake and Raleigh sought to expand England s territory overseas. This sense of well being was embodied by Queen Elizabeth who liked to wear sumptuous costumes and jewellery, and be entertained in style at her court. But life in Tudor England did not always reflect such splendour. The sixteenth century was also a time when the poor became poorer, books and opinions were censored, and plots to overthrow the Queen were rife. Elizabeth s ministers had to employ spies and even use torture to gain information about threats to her life. In 1558 the Protestant preacher John Knox wrote, It is more than a monster in nature that a woman should reign and bear empire over man. So was he right? Were women fit to rule the country? The people had lived through the unpopular reign of Mary I, known as Bloody Mary for her merciless persecution of Protestants. Lady Jane Grey was Queen for only a matter of days before being toppled and eventually executed. And Mary Queen of Scots made a series of ill judged decisions which led her to the executioner s block in 1587. Elizabeth could be as ruthless and calculating as any King before her. Elizabeth was a different kind of Queen: quick witted, clever and able to use feminine wiles to get her own way. Elizabeth could be as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The National Assessment of Adult Literacystates that literacy is using printed and written information to function in society, to achieve one s goals, and to develop one s knowledge and potential ( Literacy Surveys ). Without the ability to read, an individual cannot achieve any of their goals or rise to meet their potential. People are looking to the government for funding to resolve the literacy issue. Government funding and the development of new programs can substantially decrease the amount of illiterate American citizens. Yet, more needs to be done to improve literacy rates across the country. There are many factors that could be causing the drop of literacy in the United States. Poverty is one of the largest causes of illiteracy today (Nayak). Students and families living in poverty are more likely to be illiterate than students and families living with strong financial standings. Families dealing with tough financial situations are often more focused on providing food and shelter for their children rather than sending them to school (Nayak). The Maternal Mortality Rate Of Afghanistan Essay Goal 5 The fifth goal is to increase maternal health in countries with a focus on reducing the maternal mortality rate by three fourths and universal access to reproductive health both by 2015. Despite a 43% reduction in maternal deaths since 1990, there are still a large number of women who die during childbirth from preventable causes such as hemorrhaging (United Nations, 2015, p. 38). In 2002 Afghanistan reported a baseline figure of 1,600 deaths per 100,000 with a 2015 targeted reduction to 315 (Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, 2013, p. 53). While Afghanistan was able to reach the original goal it had set for itself, new goals were created to combat the continuous high number of maternal deaths. Afghanistan has identified general lack of family planning, a limited supply of qualified midwives, and limited access to health care in general as contributing factors towards such high maternal death rates. The state has been working with UNICEF, WHO, and other international partners to implement its National Reproductive health strategy to help combat the conditions in which Afghanistan mothers find themselves. The pardoner tale in the book The Canterbury Tales shows the ironic greed of the pardoner. The pardoner job is to sell pardons which are basically go to heaven free cards. So that already starts to show greed, but most of his greed comes from him selling fake artifacts. • 37. Descriptive Essay About Goldfinger Concert Crowd surfing at a Goldfinger Concert was the best feeling i ve ever experienced, but getting a cigarette put out on your back isn t the best feeling in the world. I went to a Sublime with Rome, The offspring, The Urge, Reel Big Fish, and Goldfinger concert this september for my birthday with my friends harrison, travis, kam, harrison, and brogan. While we were listening to Goldfinger perform, we tried to get into the moshpit that was going on at the front of the concert. First, we got our blankets and pillows ready on the lawn of the main stage and got some snacks from the snack bar, Which was very, very expensive. A red bull was $5 and a 20oz bottle of water was about $7. Not the best prices difference between water and a red bull. We got back to the main venue and the urge just started performing. I didn t really know any songs by them so i just sat there and ate my food that i got from the snack bar and my backpack that i filled with snacks. The urge ended and we went to the other venue where people were all migrating to to see the Beastie Boys cover band perform. The bass of the songs that they were playing were literally making my ears move into my brain. They played a couple more songs and left the venue. After that we went back to the snack bar and got more water and a little more snacks for the meantime while the other bands were getting ready to perform. We just got to the Goldfinger performance and tried to get to the front of the concert by pushing and shoving people out of the way. It was pretty much impossible to get to the front of the venue because every time we got closer there were more people bunched up together trying to get closer. Eventually some guy in a wheelchair came through and we followed the guys behind him but he suddenly got stopped in the middle of the crowd. Then, we asked these two big guys with muscles the side of yachts. Harrison went up first and started heading to the front surfing in the crowd. People weren t paying much attention behind them because they were focused on the concert, so harrison eventually got dropped onto the floor, but the guy next to him lifted him up again and he made it to the front of the concert still crowd surfing. Although the mechanism linking pain with arthritis is unknown, it is suggested that the extension of autonomic sympathetic fibers into the upper dermal layer of the skin may explain the sensation of chronic pain that arthritis patients experience. Hence, the goal of Longo et al. s experiment was to investigate the changes of innervations in the skin directly above the inflamed joints and how this change correlates with the perception of pain. Additionally, the effects of guanethidine on pain, as well as, the changes in protein levels of pro NGF (nerve growth factor) and mature NGF are also explored. Many marketplace leaders express a desire to have greater impact for God in the workplace, but their view and understanding of Kingdom ministry hinders them. The common belief that sacred is separate from secular is pervasive among marketplace believers. This view is detrimental to the advancement of the Kingdom. Contrary to this belief, Scripture represents a holistic approach, which views work as worship with all believers as one of a kind ministers of God s grace in the context in which He places them. A deficient understanding of the importance of a God given calling to serve the Kingdom in a marketplace vocation weakens a believer s perspective and witness as he or she seeks to engage with unsaved humanity. Also, many Spirit filled marketplace ministers lack hope and faith that the gifts of the Spirit will operate through them in workplace contexts. The present state of corruption, greed, and moral failure among leaders in corporate America bears witness to the need for the Church to more effectively engage in the marketplace. • 50. Comparing Jane Eyre And The Horse Dealer s Daughter Women as Outsiders: A Comparison Of Jane Eyre and The Horse Dealer s Daughter Women are often portrayed as a marginalized other or outsider in literature, reflecting the degree to which they are outside the traditional patriarchal concepts of authority and power as well as (for much of Western history) outside the practical and legal means of self sufficiency and self direction. As the times have shifted, the particular perspective and definition of women as outsiders has also changed, as can be seen in a comparison of the central figures in Charlotte Bronte s Victorian era novelJane Eyreand D. H. Lawrence s more modern short story The Horse Dealer s Daughter. Interestingly, both heroines are seen as similarly detached from traditional power structures, yet the degree to which Jane distances herself through her morality actually gives her power, while the increasing amorality of the times leads Mabel (Lawrence s protagonist) down a path of deeper despair, self directed though it may be. In Jane Eyre, the title female is an outcast almost everywhere she goes, from an orphan in the home of her uncle s family to the school at Lowood where she eventually finds a niche but where she does not truly belong and finally to Thornfield Hall, where she fits in all too well but finds that her familiarity is ultimately inappropriate. The classrooms I chose to evaluate and compare using the ECERS evaluation tool were the 4year old classroom at Naples Christian Academy and the 4 year old classroom at The Learning Center.
