This can be looked at in terms of labor where companies are finding it tricky to source people who meet the skills in requirement. Hiring and placement is a role charged to the human resource department, however in some instances, some positions require people who are adequately skilled, who are well conversant with a certain process or procedure so as to ensure smooth running of the position (Chopra & Meindl, 2015). In such a situation, most business has resulted in automation of procedures, factors that leads to overreliance on the information technology. The next issue faced by business is connected to transportation. Currently, businesses have become global, and this entails movement of goods from one corner of the earth to the other. In a perspective, business needs to make a good consideration on the delivery as different means of transport have different delivery time frame. This makes it vital for a business to consider the delivery urgency and in such sense make their choice appropriately (Chopra & Meindl, 2015). Lastly, we are going to take a close look at various policies brought about by the government. The success of the business is usually pegged on the kind of policies set up by the government. The policies set up by a country need to be in a position of enabling the business locate inventory domestically in a hustle free manner (Chopra & Meindl, 2015). The policies should also provide favorable policies on the operation of ventures where each and every participant’s rights are well protected. In such a sense, supply chain management is vital for the success of a business. On a situation where all factors involved are favorable on the side of the business, processes will flow smoothly from production to the time goods and services reach their end users.
