Auto Express tested a wide range of battery chargers from different
manufacturers by looking at 80 different aspects.
These aspects included; the time it took to charge a deflated battery, how
this was done and the rate too. They also checked the electromagnetic
capability (EMC) interference to industry standards, sparks during misuse
and the operating instructions. Charging modes, battery types and lead
lengths and clamps were also taken into account before looking at the
