ICO Marketing, Promotions and Public Relations :: Jordan St Jacques at an L-S...L-SPARK
With the success of the Filecoin and Kik ICOs (amongst others) in the latter half of 2017, every Startup in the world should be examining the possibility of an ICO for their business. Bypassing traditional funding channels such as onerous Grants and difficult VCs with the non-dilutable funding that ICOs represent should be on the tip of every Founders tongue these days. However, there’s a large disconnect between what’s assumed and what’s required to successfully launch an ICO.
Jordan St Jacques is a Tech Founder operating out of the Bayview Yards community, at first out of the Invest Ottawa incubator and now out of the Carleton University Cybersecurity wing. Jordan has world-class expertise in all things Digital Marketing, and is well on his way to adding all things in the Crypto world as well.
Presentation from the 8th TestDome Product Talk, held Nov 28th 2023:

*Description:*
Mario, cofounder of TestDome, talks about his views and experience and try to show benefits of bootstrapping route for the founders that is overlooked in media.
Why this topic? Media loves fairy tales (rags to riches, bold, brave bets, winning against all odds). Investors love founders buying into those stories (founders are scarcest input to their business model). But, we love entrepreneurial people (especially young) and want the best for them 🙂
What it's like to switch from working in the Federal IT space to commercial technology companies in DC. Where to look for companies and get a job at one you like.
Chinaccelerator, in cooperation with Tech Temple and GWC, once again hosted their program-annual 10X10 Beijing on March 8th, 2014.
The Geeks on a Train tour takes the Chinaccelerator startups on a ride from Shanghai to Beijing, then back down to Hangzhou before returning to Shanghai.
As part of the tour, the 10x10 conference brings attendees 10 tech pioneers (in this case we had 12!) and top VC's from the startup ecosystem in China. This is an amazing opportunity for attendees to have a peek at the first startup accelerator program in China, meet interesting people and listen to amazing speakers.
As always, each of them takes attendees on a 10-minute tour of their own startup trials and tribulations, wins and losses, then give some great advice and maybe a secret or two about what they learned to help make them the superstars they are today.
These are their slides, we hope you enjoy them. Thank you for supporting Chinaccelerator and entrepreneurship worldwide.

The State of Digital Identity Wallets – Darrell O’DonnellSSIMeetup
https://ssimeetup.org/state-digital-identity-crypto-wallets-darrell-odonnell-webinar-22/
Darrell O’Donnell, President & CEO of Continuum Loop and Sovrin community contributor, will be our next guest. He’ll be sharing an update on a Digital Identity and Crypto Wallet study and report that he is releasing.
Discussions about Digital Wallets (aka Identity Wallets) have ended with hand-waving at many hard problems. The Digital Wallet study begins as leaders in Canada looked at what was needed to really enable self-sovereign identity to have an impact. The project sponsors realized that in order to bring Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) into their businesses a deep understanding of the current and future state of Digital Wallets was required.
The seemingly simple wallet turns out to be exceedingly hard. The initial focus of the study was on the enterprise aspects of Digital Wallets but it quickly shifted and broadened to apply generally to people and organizations. The project is culminating in a public and private report. The public report is intended to start a deeper discussion into what we really need from our Digital Wallet.
Darrell will walk us through, at a high-level, the findings of the study and give viewers access to a pre-publication version of the public report.
