Teleste is rolling out its Gigasphere solution to enable cable operators to provide gigabit internet speeds using the new DOCSIS 3.1 standard. Teleste has products and solutions that are already compliant with DOCSIS 3.1 and being used by European cable operators. Upgrading networks to support the 1.2 GHz spectrum needed for DOCSIS 3.1 presents challenges including smaller implementation margins, higher network loads, and a need for more intelligent and preventative network management. Teleste is addressing these challenges through new 1.2 GHz network components, management software, and services.

1. Every network needs its own e2e performance study. Teleste has
been pioneering studies on DOCSIS 3.1 HFC network
performance and we are equipped with facts to find the solutions.
2. Smaller implementation margins that are especially demanding
with higher order modulation schemes (like 4096 QAM)
3. Higher load that is not just a downstream issue; new 204 MHz
upstream (up to 1024 QAM) will require excellent networks
4. Automatic and intelligent adjustments of HFC network elements
that need to be even smarter than before
5. Network monitoring and management needs to be
preventive not just reactive
6. Requirement to build networks that are flexible to adapt new
