1. Rogerian Argument Essay Topics
Composing an essay on Rogerian Argument Essay Topics can be a challenging task that demands
a careful balance of persuasion and empathy. The Rogerian argumentation style, developed by
Carl Rogers, focuses on finding common ground between opposing viewpoints. This approach
requires a deep understanding of the subject matter and a willingness to explore alternative
perspectives.
One of the difficulties in crafting a Rogerian argument essay lies in the need to foster a sense of
collaboration rather than confrontation. Unlike traditional argumentative essays that emphasize
winning the debate, a Rogerian essay aims to build bridges of understanding. This requires
extensive research to grasp the nuances of various viewpoints and the ability to present them in a
fair and unbiased manner.
Furthermore, finding mutually agreeable solutions to contentious issues is another challenge.
Identifying common interests and proposing compromises that satisfy both sides requires a high
level of analytical and creative thinking. It demands the writer to transcend personal biases and
approach the topic with an open mind, which can be mentally taxing.
Additionally, striking the right tone is crucial in a Rogerian essay. Achieving a balance between
assertiveness and respect for opposing opinions is an art that demands careful consideration of
language and rhetoric. The writer must avoid sounding too dogmatic or dismissive, as this
undermines the collaborative spirit of the Rogerian approach.
In conclusion, crafting a Rogerian argument essay is a complex endeavor that necessitates
extensive research, empathetic analysis, and effective communication skills. It challenges the
writer to move beyond traditional debate strategies and cultivate an atmosphere of cooperation.
Nevertheless, mastering this style can be immensely rewarding, fostering not only a deeper
understanding of the topic but also a more inclusive and constructive approach to argumentation.

The marketing of the Chevrolet Voltwill be protected by this assignment, but there are
some important factors to consider.
General Motors and the EV1
At the turn of the 20th century, General Motors had developed the EV1. The EV1
was a plug in vehicle that relied solely on an electrical battery as its source of
power. This vehicle which had generated lots of hype, such as the Chevrolet Volt is
now, never made it into production. This result has caused many enthusiastic
electrical powered potential buyers to be weary of the production of the Chevrolet
Volt because of the heartbreak they suffered a decade ago. Additionally, analysts on
Wall Street deemed the EV1 a massive failure because of the non commercial
production of the vehicle.
Trying to understand why this vehicle failed to reach its potential is absolutely
necessary in the development of the Chevrolet Volt s marketing strategy. The primary
problem with the EV1 from a marketing perspective was the product itself. Unlike the
Volt, GM s EV1 didn t have the capability to use other fuel sources when the battery
died, but instead just died. Therefore, the product design of the vehicle was not
aligned with customer s expectations that had to make normal commutes throughout
the day. Another key factor was that the marketing of for this product was almost non
existent. Other than a few appearances at car shows and a television commercial that

The United States after the cold war was ( an era that ended when the Soviet Union
collapsed on Dec. 31, 1991 .) The confrontation between the United States and the
Soviet Union defined the Cold War period. (The collapse of Europe framed that
confrontation). After World War II, the Soviet and American armies kept Europe
busy. The post cold warhad two phases that happen two years apart. The first one
was from Dec 31, 1991. The second phrase lasted until September 11, 2001 (9/11)
and until now. The initial phase of the post Cold War world was built on two
assumptions. ( The first assumption was that the United Stateswas the dominant
political and military power but that such power was less significant than before,
since economics was the new focus. The second phase still revolved around the three
Great Powers the United States, China and Europe but involved a major shift in the
worldview of the United States, which then assumed that pre eminence included the
power to reshape the Islamic world through military action while China and Europe
single mindedly focused on economic matters. ) After the Cold War, the United States
was withdrawing from Afghanistan and having a second thought on the relationship
between global preminence and global omnipotence. Things that happen in 1991
will never be the same again. The Gulf War was an international conflict that was
caused by Iraq s invasion by Kuwait on Aug 2, 1990. A response from the U.S was

Women in ancient China were inferior to men. This meant that their whole lives were

6. Everything About Ringworm ( Dermatophytosis )
Everything about ringworm (Dermatophytosis) and how to get rid of it Our world
is fully surrounded by fungi, molds and yeasts, but luckily, only a few of them
cause skin problems. They are called dermatophytes and they cause an annoying
infection called ringworm or dermatophytosis. Ringworm is not a kind of worm; it
is an infection of the skin caused by a fungus. This infection is a skin disorder
characterized by red, itchy, scaly, rash in the area affected. People and animals can
both be affected by ringworms. The infection starts when you see red patches that
later spread to other parts of your body, affecting many other areas of your body
like your feet, groin, nails, skin and scalp among others. A small area of infected
skin grows outwards forming a ring like inflamed red patch of skin. Sometimes,
only one area is affected; however, it s not unusual to have other areas of the body
affected too, and covered with the same ring like patches. The ringworm can be
more than annoying because it can develop into an awfully itchy and exasperating
experience. In some extreme cases, we might even lose hair on the affected areas!
Let me tell you all about it and how to get rid of it completely. EVERYTHING

The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting Sun Tzu. Many of
the famous Civil Rights leaders would agree with this quote, but while there also
leaders that wanted violence. Many famous people of this time period had differing
opinions on how to make the lives of African Americans safer. The primary sources
from Wells, Washington, Turner, Du Bois, and Harper showed their separate
opinions on how to better the lives of African Americans, and each person had
positives and negatives, but the alternative offered by Ida B. Wells would have
caused larger problems between the black and white communities. Two of the
alternatives proposed were considered radical and almost dangerous to the African
Americancommunity. The first radical idea was proposed by Ida B. Wells. She
believed that the African American population needs to stand up against the
government to show that the lynching and unjust treatment in America is unfair.
Wells was famous for her boycotting of the railroads, and she wanted every
household to have a gun just in case of emergencies involving the white people.
These ideas were very radical for the time period because she wanted people to hurt
others first, she famously states, The strong arm of the law must be brought to bear
upon lynchers in severe punishment, but this cannot and will not be done unless a
healthy public sentiment demands and sustains such action . Ida B. Wells had
passionate beliefs, but this would not be the best

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
3.1 Introduction
This chapter comprised of research design, research philosophy, empirical model,
operationalization and measurement of variables, target population, sampling design,
data collection instruments, data collection procedure and data analysis and
presentation. The operational methodology that was used in this study was the before
and after basis where data was collected on firms before using venture capital and
after using venture capital. (Bueselinck Margnat, 2003) argue that there is no gold
standard in impact measurement.
3.2 Research design
(Borg Gall, 1983) defined research design as a detailed plan on how a research
study will be conducted. It is a plan according to which data is collected to
investigate the research hypothesis or question in an economical manner. According
to Gall et al (2003) a research design is a plan for collecting and utilizing data so as
to obtain the desired information with sufficient precision or so that a hypothesis can
be tested properly. It is a framework that guides the collection and analysis of data.
A descriptive research design was adopted for this research. According to (Cooper
Schindler, 2003), a descriptive study is concerned with finding out the what, where
and how of a phenomenon. (Saunder et al, 2003) further assert that descriptive
research is used principally to gain a deeper understanding of something. The
descriptive research collects data in order to answer questions

and some may not have any influence at all. As a person grows up in a family, they
are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture may influence a

Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends.
The largest trends I despise are rap and hip hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type
of speech that that type of music is breeding. I chose to steer away from that
crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of adrenaline. My high on life
is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart pounding, and my
adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I love
hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports,
whether it be on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a
strong set of morals and ethics that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some
are also partly my own. My morals mostly consist of karma (being kind, caring,
helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering (especially in nature),
respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is measured
with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am
very strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would
agree with that, although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person

Canada s currency is called the Canadian Dollar, or CAD for short. According to
Bloomberg.com, the current ratio between USD and the CAD is $1.2621 to $1
USD. The Canadian Dollar has displayed a trend over the past year of its value
dropping. This drop in value on the global exchange will affect prices in Canada.
As the CAD value drops, its exports will be cheaper for other nations while imports,
like products from Amazon, will be more expensive for the Canadian people. The
dropping value of CAD will continue to change prices and might cause products
imported into Canada by Amazon to be priced out of the market.

12. Disadvantage Of Thermal Power Plant
Turbine is used as steam driven to convert heat energy to electric power in thermal
power plant. Coal is burnt in a boiler to convert water into steam. By using Rankine
cycle concept, the steam is expand in turbine to produces mechanical power, where
the energy is transferred by a force to drives the alternator coupled to the turbine.
Then after the steam is passed through turbine, the steam is condensed in a condenser
to convert into liquid and recycled to its original temperature in vapor state. The
energy efficiency of a conventional thermal power stationis typically 33% to 48%.
The figure 1 shows the general layout of the thermal power plant and the figure 2
illustrates the components of the thermal power plant.
Undeniably there are some advantages and drawbacks of thermal power stations. In
terms of advantages, firstly thermal power plants are economical because of the low
initial cost other than the other generating plant and the main fuel is the coal which is
quite cheap than petrol or diesel. Secondly, the land required is smaller than other
plants such as hydro power plant. Moreover maintenance for thermal power plant is
easily accessible and can be located anywhere, when large amount of water and
transportation is available. Even though thermal power plant has many advantages,
but there are also many disadvantages. One of the main disadvantage is large amount
of smoke will produce and it can cause air pollution. In one way thermal power

For many years, in the older eras, women had always been categorized as
insignificant, and worthless. Because of this, women were forced to conform to the
stereotype of depending on men, and were subjected to what the men said. William
Shakespeare demonstrates this in the play Hamlet. The women are portrayed to
deserve their fate because of their inability to be independent and their ability to be
easily influenced. In the play, Shakespeare demonstrates that both Gertrudeand
Ophelia deserve their fate.

And there I see such black and grained spots
As will not leave their tinct. (3.4.90 93)
Gertrude fools herself by thinking everything she has done is justified because of
Claudius who influenced her thoughts. She needs Hamlet to show her all the wrong
she has done, she cannot realize herself. While Hamlet and the Ghost of Hamlet s
father are talking, Hamlet s father talks about Gertrude,

When he first arrived back in his room after the spirits visited him, he changed
immediately through his thoughts. It s Christmas day! said Scrooge to himself I

that Scrooge now cares about Christmas and is thankful for the Spirits. He first
was annoyed and put upon that he had to be visited by them. Secondly, Scrooge
whispers to himself I ll send it to Bob Cratchit and says to the boy Come back with

As I stroll down the aisle of my local grocery store during the month of March, I
notice the recent emergence of eggs, particularly chocolate eggs. To be even more
specific, Cadbury chocolate eggs, both the packages of minis and the individual

taste test Cadbury chocolates during his primary school years while he was living
in England. For one person to be able to taste a certain chocolate bar, and then for
another to taste that exact same kind of bar half a century later in a country miles

The cultivation of cacao trees spread throughout the globe as well, and nowadays
cocoa is most commonly grown in South America, West Africa, and Asia.
Eventually, the globalization of cocoa beans brought an idea to the minds of two
young men in the 1800s. According to an article The Creation of a Company
Culture: Cadburys by Charles Dellheim, the start of Cadbury wasn t even
chocolate. Instead, John Cadbury, the founder of the company, traded tea and
coffee in Birmingham which later grew to become a factory process. However,
when his sons George and Richard Cadbury took over, the company was already
dwindling and on the verge of collapse when they ingeniously changed the product
from tea and coffee to cocoa and chocolate. They also changed the process of cocoa
making and utilized the Dutch process to make the chocolate taste better and it
resulted in a much higher quality chocolate (Dellheim, 17). Even from the very start,
the Cadbury company might not have succeeded without globalization, as it was the
Dutch process of chocolate making that allowed the British firm to really take off in
the mid 19th century, with its signature Dairy Milk bar released in 1905. The family
run business gradually expanded over the years throughout England and then built its
first overseas factory in Australia in 1919. This was during the modern period when
other brand names such as Coca Cola, Remington, and Campbell started making
themselves known on the global market

Problem
Human toxoplasmosis is considered a major health problem among various
Egyptian patients with a prevalence of 59.1% among ocular patients (El Sayed and

depressive disorder (El Sayed et al. 2012) and 33.67% among blood donors (El

infection and Egyptian RA patients by detecting IgM and IgG antibodies in blood
samples of the patients compared with controls. Diagnosis of toxoplasmosismight be
highly desirable in those patients as they may be at risk for reactivation of latent
infection as well as increase the risk of acute toxoplasmosis.
Egyptian RA patients were found to have a significantly increased frequency of
latent toxoplasmosis (54 %) with elevated levels of IgG to T. gondii compared to
normal controls (32 %) and also, the presence of Toxoplasma IgM antibodies in 7.4

Overall, polarization has become one of the defining characteristics of American
politics in the 21st century. While much attention is paid to the bipolar makeup of
Congress, the congressional divide is a reflection of the ideological, and now
political, divide amongst the American public. What is the explanation for this
widening gap between the two political parties? Essentially, there is not a sole cause
leading to a polarized public, rather a myriad of actors on all levels, and in various
ways, that have aided in fostering and maintaining a polarized environment in the
United States. Thus, in order to get along with this study in a timely manner, I will
only address the three trends explaining polarization that are most significant to the
conclusion I aim to
22. The Three Types Of Court Management In The Criminal...
In the criminal justice system, there are three types of important court managers.
Without one of these court managers the court would be working slower than what
it needs to work. The three types of the curt managers are the clerk of court, the
judge, and the court administrator. Each of these managers have a very important
role they have to play to ensure that the court would run smoothly while is in
session. The clerk of court is An elected or appointed court officer responsible for
maintaining the written records of the court and for supervising or performing the
clerical tasks necessary to conduct judicial business (Neubauer Fradella, 2014,
p.535). For example, sometimes people might confuse what a clerk of the court does
with what a law clerkdoes or even a court reporter. The clerk of the court does take
another role while trial is going on, they maintain court calendars and handle and
assemble documents such as subpoenas, judicial orders, writs, injunctions, and
judgments (Krow, 2017). They review law suits and motions that are submitted to the
court. The second important court manager is the judge. Many people put judges as
the highest part of the criminal justice system. This is because of the power that
they have. It all start From arrest to final disposition, the accused face judges
whenever decisions affecting their futures are made (Neubauer Fradella, 2014,
p.199). Some of the things that a judge can do is set bail for you, revoke your bail, and
23. The Perspective Of Collective Cynocy And Efficacycy In A...
The perspective of collective efficacy is described as the the willingness of a
community/group to work in order to meet a common goal which will ultimately
benefit all. Collective efficacy tends to be more focused on the community and how
their contributions can impact the decline of criminal and delinquent behaviors. The
theory argues that communities with high level of collective efficacy and
participation tend to have lower level of crime, that is because individuals are more
willing to intervene and help each other when an issue arises, allowing them to work
on conflicts and get to help others. Additionally, collective efficacy is a task specific
construct that highlights shared expectations and mutual engagement by residents in
local social control (Morenoff et al., 2001, p. 520). Therefore, it clearly works the
best when all the residents of a communitywork together in order to ensure that a
safe environment is being created and that all contributions are being appreciated for
it is something that would be for the benefit of a greater number. Furthermore,
collective efficacy is clearly a hugely important concept in the communities and
crime literature (Hipp Wo, 2015, p. 172). The theory of collective efficacy surely
helps explain significant correlations between crime rates and the levels of
participation in a group. Because it studies social mechanisms and how the way
members of a community interact with each other, it allows for a better understanding
24. The Between Wisdom, Righteousness And Religious
Devotion
Wisdom literature has long been part of the Jewish tradition with a large section of
the Old Testament devoting itself to it. Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Sirach, the
Wisdom of Solomon, and the Wisdom Psalms such as 33 and 107 make up this
literature. Job, dates from the tenth century B,C and has a philosophical and
theological reflection on why the righteous suffer. The proposition is that this is an
orderly made cosmos and ultimately all injustices will be turned to good. Proverbs,
written in its final form in the third century B.C. is a collection of aphorisms and
poems within the relationship between wisdom, righteousness and religious devotion.
In tone and form wisdom literaturediffers from divine revelation and is grounded in
observation of and human reflection upon experience. Furthermore, unlike the laws
of the Pentateuch, which were proposed in coming from God, and unlike the
prophets, who claim to speak the word of the Lord , on God s behalf, this wisdom
does not purpose to be truth (Borg: 2001:148).
Wisdom literature comes in two major categories: Proverbial wisdom consisting of
short, succinct sayings which provide basic rules for personal happiness and welfare.
The book of Proverbs is a classic example of this within Holy Scripture. Speculative
wisdom consists of monologues (e.g. Ecclesiastes) or dialogues (e.g. Job). This form
of wisdom literature is practical and empirical rather than theoretical. It examines
such problems as the meaning of life and the
25. Profit Maximization Model
SAMPLE ANSWER FOR QUESTION 5
Profit making is one of the most traditional, basic and major objectives of a firm.
Profit motive is the driving force behind all business activities of a company. It is
the primary measure of success or failure of a firm in the market. Profit earning
capacity indicates the position, performance and status of a firm in the market. In
spite of several changes and development of several alternative objectives, profit
maximization has remained as one of the single most important objectives of the firm
even today.
Both small and large firms consistently make an attempt to maximize their profit by
adopting novel techniques in business. Specific efforts have been made to maximize
output and minimize production and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are as follows
1. Profit maximization is the main goal of the firm.
2. Rational behavior on the part of the firm to achieve its goal of profit maximization.
3. The firm is managed by owner entrepreneur.
Determination of profit maximizing price and output
Profit maximization of a firm can be explained in two different ways.
В· Total Revenue and Total Cost approach.
В· Marginal Revenue and Marginal Cost approach.
Profits of a firm are estimated by making comparison between total revenue and
total costs. Profit is the difference between TR and TC. In other words, excess of
revenue over costs is the profits. Profit = TR TC. If TR is equal to TC in that case,
there will be break even point. If TR is less than TC, in that case, a firm will be
incurring losses. In this case, we take in to account of total cost and total revenue of
the firm while measuring profits.
It is clear from the following diagram how profit arises when TR is greater than that
of TC.
2. MR and MC approach
In this case, we take in to account of revenue earned from one unit and cost incurred
to produce only one unit of output. A firm will be maximizing its profits when
MR= MC and MC curve cuts MR curve from below. If MC curve cuts MR curve
from above either under perfect market or under imperfect market, no doubt MR
equals MC but total output will not be maximized and hence total profits also will
not be maximized. Hence, two conditions are

coloring pencils to add the different colors and shades on the drawing. It is a
haunted house with a person looking through the left top window. The large dark
and scary house is located in the middle of the road as the foreground shows a dark
and nighty look. The trees are drawn on the side of the house with bushes in front
of the house. Furthermore, the clouds in the dark night sky and the darks grayish
windows provide a dull feeling. As you can see, Haunted allows a person to have
multiple crucial emotions when viewing the drawing. The work designed by Kaur
creates a certain mood in a person s mind and heart. For example, the dark nights

For the past several years, I ve greeted Ta Nehisi Coates s essays and blog posts for
The Atlantic with nothing short of gratitude. As an African American, he makes me
proud. There is no other way to put it. I do not always agree with him, but it hardly
matters. In a media world populated with pundits, so called experts and public
intellectuals driven by ego and familiar agendas, Coates s voice stands nearly alone
a black man raised in the streets of Baltimore who narrowly escaped the violence that
lurked around every corner and dodged the clutches of the prisons and jails that were
built for him, and who now speaks unpopular, unconventional and sometimes even
radical truths in his own voice, unfiltered. He is invariably humble, yet subtly defiant.

could not wait to read what Coates had to say to black young people at this
moment in our history, a time when many are struggling to make sense of how
frequently black lives can be destroyed legally through incessant police violence
and mass incarceration. I imagined that Coates s new book would make plain for
young people what is truly at stake in the struggle and disabuse them of the
prevailing myths that breed complacency, defeatism or inaction. That was what The

28. The Positive Effects Of Irrational Decisions All The Time
Irrational Counterproductive polices
People make irrational decisions all the time. Unconscious mind is responsible for
irrational decision making. Irrational decisions have always thought to be negative
and therefore have more negative effects than positive effects. Irrational
counterproductive polices is when a person has a clear goal and wants to achieve it
but eventually gains opposite result that is mostly negative. This could be because of
the following causes: rejection, decision fatigue, and self regulation failure.
Rejections often cause sever psychological affects. The severity of psychological
damage might be based on the emotional health of a human being. Rejection can
cause serious disturbances in thinking ability, increases anger and frustration, and
reduces self esteem and confidence. Most of the rejection that most of us face are
mild and the damages to mind and will heal with the time. However, if rejections are
continues and not treated even mild rejections can cause serious psychological
impact on mental health(5). Researchers have also proved that rejection reduces IQ

For example, sometimes social rejection can be use full for independent people rather
than people who wants to belong in a group all the time(). A study conducted by a
business professor at Johns Hopkins University, Maryland found that social rejection
could increase imaginative thinking in individuals with strong sense of their own
independence (4). For example, Mark Zuckerberg explained in his biography that he
was not social and was rejected from many social groups. But he converted this
situation into opportunity to get to know more about computer programming and
eventually create Facebook later on. In another situation, Michael Jordan was kicked
out of his university basketball club during his sophomore year because he wasn t
good enough, but he built this situation into motivation and came back
29. Social, Economic, And Political Pressures
Before today s modern English, our language has gone through several changes
and developments. Language is constantly evolving , but it is neither a bad or
good thing. Language change is a natural occurrence and cannot be stopped
completely. There is many reasons that language may change. Nicole Mahoney
writes that reasons for change can be responses to social, economic, and political
pressures (Mahoney). Other reasons are invasions of towns and villages,
colonization, migration, and interaction with people who speak other languages.
An example of one of these is Adios, amigos! . This probably seems like a phrase
you hear all the time, to you it is just common phrase. A hundred years ago,
however, if one was to say this, others would have no idea where it came from or
what it means. Through migration and interaction with Spanish speakers we have
learned now common words and include them in our casual everyday language.
Examples are Hola! , Adios! , Te amo , and etc. Linguists believe a major agent of
change is due to children. Children hear the language their parents speak and start
to internalize it in a different way. Before today s Modern English, there were
major shifts: Old English Shift and Great Vowel Shift. Both of these lead to how
we speak today and why we speak the way we do. Bruce Mitchell and Fred C.
Robinson state in A Guide to Old English , in the Old English language they used the
Germanic language of Great Britain. This can be

31. The Help Movie Analysis
The Help Review Racism was and still is a very prevalent problem, especially in
African American communities. The Help, a novel by Kathryn Stockett, represented
racism in the 1960s very well. In 2011, the novel was adapted into a film by Tate
Taylor. The Help is a touching and well written film, that is in some ways better than
the book. In general, the filmThe Helpwould not have been as successful as it was if
it did not have a solid plot line. The movie revolves around the racial issues tackled
by a white twenty year old lady named Eugenia Phelan, known by her friends as
Skeeter, a black maid named Aibileen, and another black maid named Minny. After
being raised in Jackson, Mississippi, an incredibly segregated city during that time,
Skeeter decided to write a book of interviews revealing how life as an African
American was at that time. Even though she was going against social norms and was
eventually outcast by all of her friends, her courage and determination pushed her to
continue writing until the book was published. The plot of the movie was thoroughly
thought out and realistically showed both sides perspectives in Jackson. Although
the plot of the movie was very suitable, the plot of the book was arguably better.
There were a few minor details that added to the characterdevelopment and allowed
the book to be more interesting. For example, in the novel, Celia did not tell
Minny about her pregnancy, which added to the suspense when she had the still
born baby. Although both of the plots were fascinating, the novel s plot was
slightly more comprehensive than the film s, making it stand out more.
Furthermore, the set of The Help played a key role in the storytelling of the movie.
Fancy cars lined the streets and whites only signs dotted the walls. The set spoke
for itself; the humble, squalid homes of The Help paled in comparison to the
extravagance of the white women s homes. They provided an obvious example of
the inequality that took place during the story. Simply put, the hard working help had
much less than the privileged white women, and the sets allowed us to quite easily
visualize the situation. In the film, the racial differences in Jackson do not need to be
described; we can
32. Hypertension Of Hypertension And Secondary Hypertension
Hypertension is defined as blood pressure greater than 140/90 mm Hg on two or
more blood pressure readings taken at each of two or more visits after initial
screening. There are two types of hypertension which are the primary (essential)
hypertension and secondary hypertension. Essential hypertension is referred to
patients with hypertensionwithout any secondary identifiable cause. Secondary
hypertension has an identifiable cause, such as renal artery stenosis or
pheochromocytoma, and is managed as part of the primary condition (Papadakis,
2014).
The Joint National Committee published JNC 7 in 2003 which established
different classification of hypertension. According to JNC 7, blood pressure was
considered normal when systolic was less than 120 mmHg and diastolic was less
than 80 mmHg. The prehypertension range was systolic 120 139 mmHg or
diastolic 80 89 mmHg. Stage 1 hypertension was categorized as systolic of 140 159
mmHg or diastolic 90 99. Stage 2 hypertension was categorized as systolic greater
than 160 mmHg or diastolic greater than 100 mmHg (JNC 7, 2003).
Hypertension is a major medical problem in America with high morbidity and
mortality. According to Center for Disease Control statistics released on 2015, it is
estimated that about 70 million American adults have high blood pressure, with a
ratio of 1 out of every 3 adults in America living with hypertension (CDC, 2015). In
2012, CDC conducted a statistical analysis of data collected by National Health and
33. Romeo And Juliet Nightingale Symbol Essay
For the Nightingale is a Lark
Romeo and Juliet while laying in bed hear birds outside. When Romeo hears this he
becomes concerned. Both his and Juliet s reactions to this show very clearly how
they are feeling in that moment. However there is a much deeper meaning and slight
foreshadowing when looking at the symbolism within this scene. Relating directly to
both of the birds referenced when they speak.
Juliet clearly shows that she wants him to stay when she says, It was the nightingale,
and not the lark, That pierce the fearful hollow of thine ear (3.5 2 3). This shows just
how much Juliet wants him to stay. However there is a much deeper symbolism
within her words specifically pertaining to the mention of the nightingale. The
nightingale is known to sing of love and its connection to such, but also it s
connection between love and death. This slightly foreshadowing what will happen to
Romeo and Juliet as it is one of its most important themes. The theme comes ... Show

While the nightingales sing at the dead of night the Lark sings at dawn. It is a
warning of the coming dangers for the lovers as day marks the end of their time.
This is made even more symbolic as the lark is the only bird that sings while it flies
representing both a warning and how Romeo must flee Verona. Shakespeare has
also referenced the lark in his sonnets. Sonnet 29 states, Like to the lark at break of
day arising...For thy sweet love remembered such wealth bringsThat then I scorn
to change my state with kings. (29.11 13 14) This quotation connects with Romeo
and Juliet as both of them are forced into leaving their life of luxury as a result of
their love. Just as in this sonnet they do not care about that and only wish to be
together.Especially shown when Juliet refuses to marry Paris as instead of taking
the easy way and marrying him she chooses the friar s plan to fake her own

My dad and mom both freak out when it starts to rain and they will not go by the

like most children. They complain all summer about how hot it is and how much
they want winter to roll around. If it was up to my parents we would go to Alaska

communication with the community concerning their use, and their place in the
force continuum.
3. Scope of Operation
Much dispute has arisen over the place of Tasers in the use of force continuum.
Training will address this issue more thoroughly, but the policy of this department
will be that Tasers fall into the category of impact weapons. They are to be
considered possibly lethal, and fall between the category containing canines,
chemical agents and batons, and the category of lethal force. They are to be used
only when a suspect is being actively aggressive towards an officer, and when the
use of a lower force weapon is deemed unsafe for the attending officer(s). Medical
issues are a concern when using Tasers. When a suspect has the spike of the Taser
implanted in them, they must be given medical attention immediately after being
restrained to remove the spikes and assess any possible injuries. Certain people must
be given special considerations, including the elderly, the mentally disabled, the very
young, and pregnant women (an inclusion in the very young). People falling under

42. Liberty Mutual Contribution Report
Liberty Mutual Hiring Team, I m excited to be writing you about the opportunites
in your claims department. I ve worked closely with insurance representatives and
found their function to be key in facilitating coverage for those in need. Liberty
Mutual has impressed me with its altruistic pursuits on a very personal level, by
aiding myself and other volunteer fire fighters in the prevention of fires in my
community, (Chewelah, Wa). As i ve researched further into LM s contribution
report, I ve found that LM truely values giving back and it shines true through its
tremendous employees/corporate donations. This inspired my goal to use the tool of
my experience to become a pillar, not only in my team, but as a support for those in
need. This
43. Watership Down
The extraordinary novel, Watership Down, by Richard Adams is an adventure filled,
meaningful piece of literature published in London around November 1972.
Although the plot is about a group of rabbits struggling to find home, the story can
be interpreted as so much more. Of course the book can be interpreted differently
especially as times change. The general meaning however remains intact. This piece
is a great example of an author speaking their voice through writing.
The beginning of the novel takes place at the home of the Owsla Rabbits, which
could be classified as a corrupt democracy. When Fiver, one of the main character s,
senses something terrible is going to happen to his home, he convinces his brother
Hazel and several others to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This idea may be more important than others just because it gives somewhat of a
moral lesson on how to succeed in life. Without the rabbits great work ethic and
strong will they would not have made it to Watership Down. Even after they were
worn to the brim and some even injured, they kept on going because they had a
good leader and a bright vision of their future. They continued to go even when some
had became skeptical. This leads into another small side note that, no one was ever
left behind. When Pipkin, a small loyal rabbit was injured, he was not left behind.
The group came up with the water raft idea to get him across the river, because they
cared and looked out for one another.Hazel also took the time to examine him and
help to heal his foot so they could continue on with their journey. You can almost
trace this back to the beginning of the book, when Hazel and Fiver were about to
embark on their trip they could have saved themselves and left, but they didn t. They
warned the others and gave an invitation to anyone that wanted to go. They tried to
save anyone and everyone that they could, because they couldn t leave anyone
44. Haroun and the Sea of Stories Closed Reading
So Iff the Water Genie told Haroun about the Ocean of the Streams of Story, and
even though he was full of a sense of hopelessness and failure the magic of the
ocean began to have an effect on Haroun. He looked into the water and saw that it
was made up of a thousand thousand thousand and one currents, each one a different
colour, weaving in and out of one another like a liquid tapestry of breathtaking
complexity; and Iff explained that these were the Streams of Story, that each
coloured strand represented and contained a single tale. Different parts of the ocean
contained different sorts of stories, and all the stories that had ever been told and
many that were still in the process of being invented could be found here, the Ocean
of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The passage personifies the ocean by talking of its playful nature of the currents
weaving in and out of one another and its ability to change, as it has a mind of its
own. The last sentence within the passage states it was not dead but alive the use of
short sentencing emphasised its point and indicates its importance. However this
short verse changes the mood of the passage, the reader is confronted by the abrupt
word dead this single word changes the tone of the sentence and explores that along
with the capability to be alive there also is the capability to be dead. This
foreshadows the next passage and the future of the ocean.
Within the passage the metaphor of the ocean being a library is emphasised, it
states that it is the biggest library in the universe this metaphor is used to try and
example the extent of the sea and how many stories it possesses, connecting it to a
familiar idea for the reader. However the metaphor is later contradicted renouncing
the oceans likeness to a library of books due to the fluid form of the stories and their
changing nature and ability to become new versions and to join up with other stories.
It presents the ocean to be much more. This is revisited throughout the novel,
exampling how the ocean is much more and how it is a health source to plentimaws
fish, directly impacting them as the ocean becomes more toxic, as well as a way of
life to all members of gup city.
In the passage
45. Rembrandt Analysis
The landscape etching presented here, The Three Trees, is a masterpiece created by
Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn. Rembrandt was a prolific Dutch Baroque painter,
printmaker, and draughtsman, who had produced over a thousand paintings and
etchings throughout his career ( Rembrandt and the Face of Jesus ). He was one of
the most celebrated visual artists during the Renaissance and one of the pioneers of
the Dutch Golden Age, a period of commercial and artistic prosperity. As critical
components of his career, Rembrandts etchings were the main sources of his fame.
The reproducibility, small dimension, and relatively cheap price of etchings made his
prints popular among the flourishing Dutch art market and gave him great financial

In this landscape etching, The Three Trees, Rembrandt portrays all the Dutch
landscape elements the flat reclaimed farmland, the dike and dale, the canal, the
cityscape, and the unpredictable weather. He adopted an elevated viewpoint with a
low horizon, allowing him to devote the majority of the canvas to the sky, which is
unusual among Rembrandt s landscape etchings. In the foreground, three trees stand
on top of a dike by the canal, which are the main focuses on the etching. The
turbulence ruffles their foliage. On the lower left corner, we can see a couple sitting
near the water. The man is fishing using a fishing pole and the woman is sitting on
the bush while holding a basket. On top of the dike, there are a cart with travelers in
silhouette and a draughtsman looking towards the right, who might refer to
Rembrandt himself since he was also capturing the landscape. In the background, the
etching captures the cottages in the middle of neat farmland, the cowherds with their
cattle, and the skyline of Amsterdam with the characteristic windmills and masts. The
elaborate curves and the staring lines in the sky imply an incoming rainstorm. The
Three Tress is not only intriguing in its subject matter, but also technically
challenging. Rembrandt utilized multiple printmaking techniques while creating this
artwork, including etching, engraving and drypoint. Etching is a process in which the
etcher use an

The heart in many cases does not have a correct beat and can cause symptoms like
fainting, chest pain, heart fluttering, etc (WebMd.com). In some cases, Arrhythmia
can be major as it can sometimes cause immediate heart failure or cardiac arrest
(MedicineNet.com). The last main condition of cardiovascular diseases are strokes
(Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention). A stroke is a point where the brain
has an interruption of a blood supply (usually are blood clots). Strokes can block the
blood that flows to the heart and can result in heart attacks, cardiac arrest, dizziness,
slurred speech, etc (Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention). All of these
conditions are the main aspects of cardiovascular disease (WebMd.com). Most of the
conditions in cardiovascular diseases can be prevented by methods like identifying
the symptoms and maintaining a healthy lifestyle (Centers for Diseases Control and

severeness of the condition itself. Symptoms may include chest discomfort, shortness
of breath, swelling, weakness, dizziness, and/or pain and numbness in parts of the

I am an international student from Republic of Kazakhstan. This country is located
in between Russia and China, and takes the 9th place by its area in the world. More
than twenty years ago my home country was a part of the Soviet Union. It is worth
to mention that we as a nation and an independent country have experienced a great
influence from the Russian Empire that had reflected on our culture, economy,
literature, science, and other aspects of life. However, being under the Soviet
pressure has brought a lot of negative consequences as well. One of them was nuclear
weapontesting conducted on Kazakh land during the harsh opposition between two
powerful countries such as the Soviet Unionand the United States of America.
Therefore, I... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to failed attempts, tremendous amount of radioactive gases was released to the
atmosphere. As a result, the region (eastern part of the Kazakhstan, primarily
Semipalatinsk region) and nearest areas had become radioactive and not suitable for
further living conditions. Fortunately, there was one person who was able to prevent
inadequate exploitation of the environment and consistent emissions of the
radioactive waste into the atmosphere. His name is Olzhas Suleimenov. He is an
influential and widely admired figure in my country and the former representatives of
the Soviet Union. He turned to politics in the 1980s by founding the Nevada
Semipalatinsk antinuclear movement of 1989. This international environmental
movement was considered as one of the first large scale grassroots protests against
the actions of the Soviet government. Moreover, it played a major role in promoting
the eventual denuclearization of the Central Asian region. Nevada Semipalatinsk
campaign targeted to close nuclear sites in Nevada and in the Semipalatinsk Province
of Kazakhstan.
Suleimenov was among the first Eurasian intellectuals who raised awareness of
global climate change, non proliferation, and environmental challenges posed by
nuclear disarmament. Eventually, the Nevada Semipalatinsk movement galvanized
support for the closure of all nuclear testing facilities in Kazakhstan and contributed to
trends in nuclear disarmament, non proliferation, environmental awareness,
49. The Benefits Of The Cuban Embargo
Would lifting the Cuba Embargo benefit its communist government or its people
most? Are we willing to potentially arm and strengthen their government to provide
minimal relief to the Cubans as a people? The Cuban embargo is an economic,
financial and commercial embargo imposed by the United States government on Cuba
. The purpose of the Embargo is to keep sanctions on Cuba should their government
continue to refuse democratization and greater respect for human rights. ( 12
Significant ) For decades, experts have argued their cases concerning the possible
repeal of the embargo. On one side, the embargo could improve the economy of the
United Statesand relief the people of their starvation and poverty, while the other
argues that the repeal would majorly benefit the Castro dictatorship rather than the

appear weak. Lifting the embargo before the Cuban government has met the
requirements set forth by the U.S. government would send a message that the U.S.
is weak in it enforcing its laws as, according to U.S. law, Cuba must legalize all
political activity, release political prisoners, commit to free and fair elections, grant
freedom of the press, and allow labor unions. (Meyers) The Cuban government has
not responded positively to any of these guidelines and has reacted with aggression
when the United States showed signs of easing the embargo. In 2014 the United
States reopened its embassy in Cuba, and since the United States agreed to reopen
the U.S. embassy in Cuba, the Cuban government has continued to persecute and
arrest its own citizens. There were 630 political arrests in June 2015 alone. One
protester claimed, the Cuban government has grown even bolder as result of the
normalized relations. ( Cuba Embargo ) Discontinuing the embargo would make the
United States appear weak to international powers and provoke Cuban
50. Impact Of Airplane On Society
Airplanes fly 50,000 80,000 times each day! They also fly more than millions of
times in a year! Some people think that airplanes are meaningless flying through
the sky, but airplanes have a long history and makes society a better place. In my
opinion the airplanes have the greatest impact on society. To begin with airplanes
has a long history of impacting society. The airplane was invented in 1903. In 1799
George Caley set forth of the concept for a modern airplane than later on built some
models of his own. Back in 1783 people like George worked on building airplanes
but at first the airplanes couldn t fly as the inventors wanted to but at once the very
first flying airplane in 1903 finally flew by the wright brothers. For example the
