Rock music originated in the United States in the 1950s and was influenced by genres like blues, country, and rhythm and blues. Some of the earliest rock bands included Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, and Chuck Berry from 1953-1956. However, many parents objected to the suggestive lyrics of early rock music, and radio stations avoided playing it. Rock artists often have a distinctive style with dark clothing, messy hair, tattoos, and pierrings. They commonly perform in bands playing instruments like guitar and drums.

often a scene were the band is all
playing together, like in concert.

magazine is one of the best selling magazines and appeals to a huge
audience mainly between 15-30 age bracket. The main artist is often
in front of the „kerrang‟ masthead. the colour scheme is often
darker to represent to the genre more.
