- 2. Mise-en-scene • The twogirls at the beginning are represented as one being a “man” and a “woman” in the relationship. This is shown through their costume and overall appearance. The more masculine girl is wearing a tank top and gold chains around her neck. Also she has many piecing's, tattoos and has short hair. Later on in the clip the same character is seen drinking beer out of a bottle and smoking a cigarette, which could be seen as masculine. However the other girl has long hair, and is wearing feminine clothes. Additionally the character who is represented as more ‘masculine’ is taking the photos, whereas the more ‘feminine’ is being the model which is considered a more feminine job.
- 3. Camera Work • Extremeclose-up shot on her eyes. • The establishing shot shows the busy life of a city. This foreshadows the busy life of he characters.
- 4. Camera work… This shotshows the audience the sexual orientation of the character. It foreshadows what is to come.
- 5. Camera work… Wide shot– This shot establishes that the character is very messy and may have a unorganised life. This could be suggest that her life or lesbian relationships as a whole are seen as ‘messy’ or ‘unorganised’.
- 6. sound • The musicblurs out at the beginning when the girl gets a phone call bearing bad news. • There is a sound bridge in the beginning scenes. • The music turns from non- diegetic to diegetic when a new scene starts. His gives a sense of reality.
- 7. Editing • Continuity editingis used. This could suggest how life goes on, within any type of relationship.
