Editorial
his year's Frotcom Annual meeting, held in the Algarve, Portugal,
gathered Frotcom Certified Partners from around the world. It was
already our 5th
meeting and it was especially interesting because of the
comprehensive set of announcements of new modules and new features
that soon will be available to clients. Among them, let me emphasize a few:
We disclosed an early preview of the next-gen Frotcom interface for PCs and
tablets. We're very proud of what is being done, despite it being a huge
challenge. If you already liked Frotcom’s user-friendliness, you’ll certainly
enjoy the new version. We are taking the user experience to a whole new
level without breaking with the current interface.
We also disclosed a preview of the new smartphone app (iPhone and
Android phones), currently in the final stages of development.
Last but not least, we demoed the new Frotcom Analytics, a fantastic tool
with which your Frotcom Certified Partner will help you identify, evaluate
and correct inefficiencies in your fleet’s performance.
There were some other announcements which we'll be talking about over the
next few months, so stay tuned…
I’d also take this opportunity to thank all our Frotcom Certified Partners who
have taken the Frotcom “train” and are enjoying the ride as much as we are.

New Certified Partner
New Caledonia becomes Frotcom’s newest frontier
Frotcom recently welcomed SYRATEL as the company’s latest international
Certified Partner. Established in 2013 and focused initially on radio
communication and alarm systems, SYRATEL has sought to expand its original
specialist market base to encompass mining companies, law enforcement, and
ambulance services.
While expanding beyond its core business, SYRATEL's own knowledge in fleet
management and tracking made the case for Frotcom’s solution. Frotcom was a
perfect fit, fulfilling the brief for an innovative and reliable product, offering a
complete toolset, diverse add-ons, and continuous support.
According to Mr. Jean Michel Slodecki, Country Director at
Frotcom New Caledonia, “We intend to make a difference
when it comes to our service offer. Compared to our
competitors, Frotcom New Caledonia is offering a complete
solution and has a network of installers throughout the
territory, allowing for shorter installation and intervention
time, and thus lowering costs for customers.”

Managing Young Drivers at
Work
Organisations are increasingly aware of
the business case for introducing road
safety management programmes to
reduce work-related road risk. The many
benefits include cutting preventable
injuries, mitigating losses associated with
collisions and boosting corporate social
responsibility efforts.
The focus of the Managing Young Drivers
at Work report, produced by the
European Transport Safety Council, to
give an overview of the issues specific to
managing young drivers at work.
Evidence shows that young people have
the highest collision involvement of any
road user group.
This report looks into the direct and
indirect factors associated with higher
collision rates of young drivers at work
and makes recommendations on how to
assess and mitigate the specific risks
associated with this group.

Frotcom Team met in Portugal for the 5th
Frotcom
Annual Meeting
From May 28 to 30, 2015, Frotcom Certified Partners across the globe gathered
in Quarteira (Portugal), for the 5th
Frotcom Annual Meeting.
Frotcom International dedicated this year’s programme to the theme “Shaping
the Future” offering the company’s continued international growth as a
springboard for attendees to learn, share, collaborate and have an active say in
Frotcom’s future success.
The Meeting was intensely focused on promoting the sharing of know-how and
practices, as well as promoting ideas and information exchange on all issues
facing the Frotcom project. Keynote presentations laid down bridges for the
sharing of best practices and marketing experiences, bringing participants up to
speed on company-wide facts & figures while presenting new upcoming
features.
The experience-rich contexts, solutions and realities that each Frotcom Partner
brought to the table complemented this framework perfectly, proving itself full
of useful and actionable insights and synergies, stimulating debate, and
encouraging new approaches and opportunities for all participants.
This year’s event was the biggest in the company's history, bringing together
partners and friends from around the world.
With the sunny Algarve as a backdrop, this year’s meeting rounded out a highly
productive, illuminating and busy schedule with an Off-Road field trip through
the Serra de Monchique, as well as a traditional game of Pétanque (a local
variation of boules) and a tasting of Medronho brandy in Monchique.

Case Study
Providing better emergency response through Frotcom
The Federazione Regionale delle Misericordie della Toscana is an association of
over 300 local organizations, charities, and civic centers operating in and around the
Italian region, which provides integrated civil, medical and emergency services.
The association not only provides an integrated backbone service to its members,
but also coordinates with state and national authorities in disasters and accidents in
the Tuscany area. This meant managing emergencies in a rapid and targeted fashion
while diminishing operational response times and increasing coordination.
Looking for a geolocation solution, the Federazione contacted Frotcom Italy and,
after an initial assessment period, the Integrated Navigation and Workforce
management modules were the clear choices for the Misericordie's needs.
Client Goals and Challenges
Key to the clients’ needs was a mean of quickly and efficiently managing a
widespread and fast-moving fleet in often complicated and rapidly evolving
emergency situations. The additional difficulty of operating in tandem with civil
protection units and other services made information exchange another priority.
Geolocalization and real-time positioning are critical, but the Frotcom solution
added a host of time-saving and efficiency enhancing tools. With Frotcom,
operational status reporting, document fulfilment, data transfer, dispatch and
updates are available on any PC or mobile device.
"Today, our fleet is our most valuable asset, and we have a need to provide and
collect real time data to and from our fleet” said Mr. Federico Bonechi, Office
Emergencies Director, at Federazione Regionale delle Misericordie della Toscana.
"Fleet Tracking, Workforce Management and Integrated Navigation are
fundamental in our operations - whether we look at the operational or the
healthcare side of things. We have prided ourselves to be first in our service, and

the efficiency gains cannot be overstated.
