Editorial
just happened upon one of the best taglines about Frotcom in one of our
recent surveys. A client of ours said:
“Frotcom is the Swiss Army knife of Fleet Management”.
There are three reasons why I think this
is absolutely true:
1) Although there are several different
systems available for vehicle tracking
and fleet management in the market
today, very few are nearly as complete
and comprehensive as Frotcom.
Frotcom features range from detailed
tracking to driving behaviour, from cost
management to integration with the
backoffice, from remote download of tachograph data to control of driving
times compliance. It’s an all-in-one solution.
2) Just like a Swiss Army knife, you do not have to make use all of the available

3) We all know that the original Swiss Army knife is built to withstand time and

Frotcom now in Mozambique
Frotcom welcomes Centavo Software, a young Mozambican company
established in 2014, as its latest Certified Partner.
While the company's focus has been on IT Outsourcing and Infrastructure, they
are actively expanding into Corporate Business Services and Integrated
Management Systems. The market analysis suggested the booming business
opportunities in the field of fleet management, and Frotcom provides ready-to-
roll, tried and tested features.
According to Mr. Igor Sales, Director at Frotcom

integrate self-driving cars into real traffic
– with ordinary people in the driver’s
seat. […]
As the Drive Me project enters its second
year, Volvo Cars is moving rapidly towards
the aim of placing 100 self-driving cars in
the hands of customers on selected roads
around Gothenburg by 2017. The public
pilot, one-of-a-kind collaboration between
legislators, transport authorities, a major
city and a vehicle manufacturer, is a
central component of Volvo Cars’ plan to
achieve sustainable mobility and ensure a
crash-free future.
The Drive Me autonomous driving system
was presented during an interactive,
online press conference on February 19.

Frotcom Angola’s Director on "Bom dia Angola"
“Bom Dia Angola”, the country’s most
popular morning news show, recently
hosted an interview with Frotcom
Angola’s Director, Mr. António Barros.
The segment focused on road safety and
spotlighted the benefits Frotcom’s Eco-
Driving module offers in savings, by
constantly monitoring driving behaviour,
pre-empting road accidents and
reducing CO2 emissions.
Frotcom’s solution monitors acceleration and braking, idling, speeding and even
over-revving (RPMs) to promote eco-driving, reduce fuel consumption and
vehicle wear, as well as curbing aggressive behaviour at the wheel. Mr. Barros‘
interview also touched relevant issues such as fuel and cost reduction through
green driving practices, as well as additional benefits for adopting companies in
terms of insurance-friendly, safe driving practices, reduced maintenance and
fleet overhead, and internal reporting and monitoring.

Frotcom Sierra Leone attends Ebola Response Suppliers
Event
Frotcom Sierra Leone took immense pride in being one of the companies to
answer the call to participate in a non-profit exhibition, ultimately bringing
together Sierra Leone’s private sector, humanitarian partners and NGOs.
The Ebola Response Trade Exhibition, which was held at the Radisson Blu
Mammy Yoko, last February, was geared towards showcasing the many Sierra
Leone based businesses and individuals offering goods or services, relevant to
the Ebola outbreak response. By assisting humanitarian organizations with local
procurement by identifying relevant local goods
and services, the organizers hope to strengthen
relationships between the private sector and
humanitarian partners. It is hoped that direct
contact between customers and suppliers will
help identify new suppliers, prospects and
revenue sources promoting the importance of
local businesses and, above all, improving overall
Ebola response.

Once you assign a planned route or
ad-hoc leg to a vehicle, you will be
able to follow on the map where that
vehicle is going to.
In Map Options, choose the "Show
active routes" option:
From that moment on, Frotcom will
display each vehicle's destination - the
destination of a route or the
destination of an ad-hoc leg - on maps
(Fleet > Map and Vehicles > Map):
A blinking blue line shows the path
from the vehicle's current location to
its destination. If you hover with the
mouse's cursor over the blue line, an
infobox is shown with detailed
information, including the Estimated
Time of Arrival (ETA).

Elysée Irrigation Ltd highlights savings of around 10%
with Frotcom
Frotcom was adopted by Elysée Irrigation Ltd. to measure and improve logistics
and distribution performance. As a result, they also confirmed savings in vehicle
maintenance and fuel consumption.
Based in Cyprus, Elysée Irrigation Ltd. is a multi-award and certificate-earning
manufacturer and supplier of piping, fittings and irrigation systems for agricultural,
domestic and public use. With clients across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the
Far East, Japan and New Zealand, service quality and the ability to deliver orders to
their destinations, cost-effectively and on schedule, is a priority for Elysée Irrigation
Ltd.
Client Goals and Challenges
With a fleet of 30 vehicles in the field, Elysée Irrigation
Ltd, was looking for a solution to enable their Quality
Management System to measure and improve logistics
and distribution performance.
For Elysée’s needs, Frotcom provided an effective and
user-friendly monitoring solution, with easily available
reports, no hardware approach, and a continuous
support and updating of the system. Though it had to
respond to processes and procedures that are often hard to monitor, the ideal
system had to automatically collect and collate data in a manageable and practical
format, one that could be easily used to continuously improve efficiency and
enhance performance. Even the particular challenge of adaptation was overcome
with time and a few short weeks were all it took for the staff to become used to the
demands and benefits of real time monitoring.
Client Benefits
To assist procedure and policy execution, Elysée is now benefiting from actionable
data on fleet utilization, customer visits, delivery scheduling, idle times, driving
behaviour and speeding control. Additionally, implementation of Frotcom has
resulted in savings in a number of areas, including vehicle maintenance and fuel
consumption which are down approximately 10% since implementation. Apart from
fleet management, the solution has also allowed a reduction in fleet size and helped
Elysée increase the sustainability of its sales and distribution network.
According to Mr. Constantinos Tsikkos, Operations Manager at Elysée, “With
Frotcom we have better overall control of our widespread fleet and we have been
able to greatly reduce running costs of maintenance and fuel consumption. Objective
data provided by automated reports helped us monitor operations closely and set
both limits and realistic targets. After almost a year in use, we find that the system
was worth the investment made.”
