Through a series of experiments, it was determined that rice contains: - Starch, as indicated by the rice turning black when tested with iodine. - A small amount of protein, as the rice mixed with Biuret solutions turned a light blue color. - A small amount of glucose, as the rice mixed with Benedict's solution turned green. - Very little fat, as rubbing rice on paper did not leave much residue.
