RELEVANT ACHIEVEMENTS
 1990 : Managed all operational aspects of the ERP-implementation for the group
Tecno Benelux . Tecno is an industrial company with production centers in Italy for
engineering and technological innovation and that continues to consider the quality of
design, the materials and the craftsmanship essential. We realized successful a huge
European it-atomization and integration project. Software IBS on IBM AS400 series.
 1994 : Project manager for a complex ERP integration and interface-project for an
Agency of the Flemish Community responsible for the social integration of
handicapped persons.
 1996 – 2003: Highly involved ( identification, development and closing ) in the
following strategic SAP-win deals for Belgian Public and Utility market:
 European Commission
The completion of the European Commission’s accounting transformation project, making
the European Commission the first European institution ready to comply with
International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS). The accounting transformation
project team developed the European Commission’s accounting system to deliver the
budgetary and accounting transparency required for meeting modern accounting
standards such as IPSAS, using accrual accounting and funds management functionality
from the SAP for Public Sector solution. The new system is connected via a Java front-end
to each of the Commission’s 36 directorate generals, who can now encode invoices,
manage budgets and authorize payments without major changes to their normal
workflow.
 Sabena Technics
Established in 1923 as a technical department of Belgium’s national airline, specializes in
the maintenance, repair and overhaul of airplanes and airplane components.
The activities of Sabena Technics require an extremely sophisticated ERP platform that
guarantees an efficient project launch and follow-up, well-organized planning, accurate
materials management and a careful documentation of all the maintenance and repair
services. The SAP component SAP Financials went live in 1997 Implementation of the
other SAP components took off at the beginning of 2000. SAP Materials Management was
top priority.
 The City of Luxemburg
With the implementation of SAP the city consolidates collections and revenue
management activities across different departments and achieves a single view of our
city’s constituents in terms of their liabilities and payments. The City of Luxembourg has
realized the benefits of streamlined processes, greater employee efficiency, and higher
service quality.
 Ministry of the Brussels-Capital Region
Apart from the Federal State and the Communities in Belgium, there are the Regions.
There are three Regions. The names of the three regional institutions are borrowed from
the name of the territory they represent. So we refer to (from north to south) the Flemish
Region, the Brussels-Capital Region and the Walloon Region. The SAP project took off at
the beginning of 1999. By January 1, 2000 the ministry was working live with SAP solutions
for financials, controlling, treasury and cash management.
 Belgacom
Belgacom is the Belgian market leader in the field of global telecommunication solutions.
The Belgacom group supplies local, interzonal, and international communication and data
via services fixed and mobile networks and satellite carriers.
The company’s traditional purchasing processes were exceedingly complex.
In order to rein in this expenditure, they needed to enhance their electronic purchasing
processes. To do this, the company chose SAP Enterprise Buyer (SAP EPB), the e-
procurement component within SAP Supplier Relationship Management.
The implementation team kicked off the project on February 19, 2001. The first step for
the SAP project involved transferring the digital catalogs to SAP. On September 30, eight
months later, the system went live.
 University of Leuven (KUL)
K.U. Leuven was founded in 1425 and can call itself the oldest university in the Low
Countries. After a long and eventful history, the University is today a modern academic
institution – in fact, the largest in Belgium with over 38,000 students.
The university chose to implement software from the SAP for Higher Education &
Research solution portfolio. The first objective was to lay down a solid campus wide
software foundation based on the SAP ERP application. Implementation partners including
the SAP Consulting organization lent a hand, helping to deploy the software and
standardize core processes touching on areas such as human capital management,
campus logistics, payroll, budgeting, and financial management. Self-service human
resources functionality, for example, now allows staff and faculty members to schedule
vacation time, maintain personal files, view compensation data, and access career
management tools. Logistics functionality helps the university monitor its real estate
holdings, manage maintenance for plants and facilities, procure materials, and comply
with environmental health and safety regulations. Streamlined financial management
functionality helps increase the efficiency of payroll processes and improve overall budget
control.
 University of Ghent , Liège ( ULG) and Louvain-la-Neuve ( UCL)
Nearly the same business key drivers as mentioned above for the University of Leuven
made them to choose for SAP software.
 City of Ghent
When the city of Ghent - Belgium's third-largest city - decided to improve government
accountability and services for its citizens, its municipal government chose the mySAP
Customer Relationship Management (mySAP CRM) solution. The city used the solution to
launch a communications center that can respond quickly to citizen inquiries and better
track workflow.
 V.R.T. (Flemish broadcasting)
The Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep, or VRT, is a publicly-funded broadcaster of radio
and television in Flanders (northern part of Belgium). VRT uses SAP to manage the
complete business backbone processes of their broadcasting operations. This includes the
planning of staff and equipment in the areas of the Newsroom TV, technical Radio
resources, production resources for TV and the Sports department. SAP enabled them to
optimize their performance and utilization of all company’s resources in one flexible
business model.

Other relevant achievements:
 Achieved an interesting network of political decision makers due to the ongoing
strategic business change programs of the federal government and the straight go-to-
market model of SAP Belgium.
 2004 : Managed for Oracle Belgium all aspects ( functional, technical, commercial ) for
the long term strategy on the government market-, the development of service
offerings, the making of proofs of concept, building and presenting proposals and
extensive demonstrations for the following projects:
 Fedcom ( Accounting Project for the Federal Government )
 eHRM ( e-Human Resources project for the Federal Government)
 EPIC ( ERP and Human Resources for the integrated federal police department )
 New Orafin ( new functional application architecture design and major upgrade
project for the existing Oracle applications at the Flemish
Community).

 2007 : Strategic account management for the SAP Portal project at Luminus. Luminus
is the second largest player in the Belgian energy market and belongs to the Top 30
Largest Belgian Companies.

o Used by the largest B2B customers of Luminus, including various
governments in Belgium
o Insight in consumption, history and invoices of tens of thousands of
delivery points

portal
o Stores information securely in the cloud
o Tri-lingual Content Management System backed interface
 2008 : won a strategic deal for SAP ( licenses ) and Oasis Consultants (implementation
)at the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre. SCK is one of the largest non-academic
research centers in Belgium for Nuclear Energy. A contract value of about 1.000K was
signed in the Belgian SME market, with business continuity for CRM , collaborative
Projects , HRM and Real Estate Management.
 2009 : won SAP Upgrade and Maintenance frame agreement for O.V.A.M.( OVAM
stands for Public Waste Agency of Flanders and is responsible for waste management
and soil remediation in Flanders) with wide scale of extensions in the financial and
Business Intelligence domain.
 2009 : won Implementation project for SAP Real Estate at Multipharma. With a
network of 250 pharmacies and 20 Equiform point-of-sales and a turnover of € 400
million Multipharma is the medicine distribution leader in Belgium. The needs were:
creation of a central database with all data on the real estate portfolio - management
of master data of each building - management of lease-in and lease-out contracts,
maintenance, insurance, utilities, deposited guarantees, property tax and service
charge settlements. The project is realized in H1 2010.
 2009 : won SAP Materials Management implementation and B2B Portal integration at
Ergolife Insurance.
 2010 : interesting partner deals with Deloitte and Accenture at respectively the NMBS
( Belgian Railways) ,KBC ( Belgian Bank ) and BARCO (manufacture of solutions for
large screen visualization, display solutions ) to align our goals and pull together as an
effective team.
 2010 : strengthen, redefined and re-activate the partnership and collaboration with
SAP to achieve SAP Gold Partner certification. SAP Gold Partner accreditation is
awarded to the highest performing resellers of market leading SAP business software
and SAP competencies, which must set the organization ahead of its competitors.
 2011 : Designing the product portfolio for large enterprises in terms of solutions
towards SAP Mobility applications and SAP In-Memory Computing applications.
Monitoring the follow up of the projects and defining the target list for the
predefined vertical solutions
 2011 : Won Bridgestone : SAP Extended Warehouse Management : The system
supports planned and efficient processing of all logistics processes in the complex
warehouses of Bridgestone.
 2012 : Steepconsult mission is to match SAP consultants to the needs of the business
world. I accomplish this targeted with attention to the human aspect and in full
respect with the company’s culture.
 2013 : IBM will take the lead in Business Analytics. IBM’s comprehensive, unified
portfolio of business analytics software (Cognos, SPSS, OpenPages, Algorithmics and
Varicent) provides a host of capabilities that helps organization achieve their
objectives and exceed expectations. In that particular interesting decision making
domain I’m responsible for a very important territory: NATO – European Commission
– Federal Government - Flemish Community – National Railways and BPost.
 2013 : Together with Cegeka, our local Cognos Business Partner, we started the
Mississippi project at the Ministry of Finance . The goal is to deliver a state of the art
application for decision-makers for a consistent performance evaluation practice at
fiscal control level.
 2014 : important win at the Federal Police. Frame agreement for the integrated police
force to use predictive analysis software for extracting, manipulation and analysing
information to contribute to security in Belgium.
 2014 : Introduction of IBM’s Law Enforcement Solution at the Integrated Police force
of Belgium to deliver a standard operational and integrated enterprise solution against
the background of cost efficiency, internal reorganization and increasing public
security. RFP planned for 2106. ( value over 3 years estimated by +/- 100mio€ ! )
 2015 : Positioning IBM Smarter Cities concept at the Flemish Government
 1998/2015 : business development, consulting and counseling with different political
cabinets . References on demand.
 2016 : as Business Development Manager I work to improve Cubewise’s market position
and achieve financial growth. I define long-term organizational strategic goals, build
key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities and negotiate business
deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current IBM market direction.

  • 4.  1996 – 2003: Highly involved ( identification, development and closing ) in the following strategic SAP-win deals for Belgian Public and Utility market:  European Commission The completion of the European Commission’s accounting transformation project, making the European Commission the first European institution ready to comply with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS). The accounting transformation project team developed the European Commission’s accounting system to deliver the budgetary and accounting transparency required for meeting modern accounting standards such as IPSAS, using accrual accounting and funds management functionality from the SAP for Public Sector solution. The new system is connected via a Java front-end to each of the Commission’s 36 directorate generals, who can now encode invoices, manage budgets and authorize payments without major changes to their normal workflow.  Sabena Technics Established in 1923 as a technical department of Belgium’s national airline, specializes in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of airplanes and airplane components. The activities of Sabena Technics require an extremely sophisticated ERP platform that guarantees an efficient project launch and follow-up, well-organized planning, accurate materials management and a careful documentation of all the maintenance and repair services. The SAP component SAP Financials went live in 1997 Implementation of the other SAP components took off at the beginning of 2000. SAP Materials Management was top priority.  The City of Luxemburg With the implementation of SAP the city consolidates collections and revenue management activities across different departments and achieves a single view of our city’s constituents in terms of their liabilities and payments. The City of Luxembourg has realized the benefits of streamlined processes, greater employee efficiency, and higher service quality.  Ministry of the Brussels-Capital Region Apart from the Federal State and the Communities in Belgium, there are the Regions. There are three Regions. The names of the three regional institutions are borrowed from the name of the territory they represent.   • 5. The company’s traditional purchasing processes were exceedingly complex. In order to rein in this expenditure, they needed to enhance their electronic purchasing processes. To do this, the company chose SAP Enterprise Buyer (SAP EPB), the e- procurement component within SAP Supplier Relationship Management. The implementation team kicked off the project on February 19, 2001. The first step for the SAP project involved transferring the digital catalogs to SAP. On September 30, eight months later, the system went live.  University of Leuven (KUL) K.U. Leuven was founded in 1425 and can call itself the oldest university in the Low Countries. After a long and eventful history, the University is today a modern academic institution – in fact, the largest in Belgium with over 38,000 students. The university chose to implement software from the SAP for Higher Education & Research solution portfolio. The first objective was to lay down a solid campus wide software foundation based on the SAP ERP application. Implementation partners including the SAP Consulting organization lent a hand, helping to deploy the software and standardize core processes touching on areas such as human capital management, campus logistics, payroll, budgeting, and financial management. Self-service human resources functionality, for example, now allows staff and faculty members to schedule vacation time, maintain personal files, view compensation data, and access career management tools. Logistics functionality helps the university monitor its real estate holdings, manage maintenance for plants and facilities, procure materials, and comply with environmental health and safety regulations. Streamlined financial management functionality helps increase the efficiency of payroll processes and improve overall budget control.  University of Ghent , Liège ( ULG) and Louvain-la-Neuve ( UCL) Nearly the same business key drivers as mentioned above for the University of Leuven made them to choose for SAP software.  City of Ghent When the city of Ghent - Belgium's third-largest city - decided to improve government accountability and services for its citizens, its municipal government chose the mySAP Customer Relationship Management (mySAP CRM) solution. The city used the solution to launch a communications center that can respond quickly to citizen inquiries and better track workflow.  V.R.T. (Flemish broadcasting) The Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep, or VRT, is a publicly-funded broadcaster of radio and television in Flanders (northern part of Belgium). VRT uses SAP to manage the complete business backbone processes of their broadcasting operations. This includes the planning of staff and equipment in the areas of the Newsroom TV, technical Radio resources, production resources for TV and the Sports department. SAP enabled them to optimize their performance and utilization of all company’s resources in one flexible business model.

SCK is one of the largest non-academic research centers in Belgium for Nuclear Energy. A contract value of about 1.000K was signed in the Belgian SME market, with business continuity for CRM , collaborative Projects , HRM and Real Estate Management.  2009 : won SAP Upgrade and Maintenance frame agreement for O.V.A.M.( OVAM stands for Public Waste Agency of Flanders and is responsible for waste management and soil remediation in Flanders) with wide scale of extensions in the financial and Business Intelligence domain.  2009 : won Implementation project for SAP Real Estate at Multipharma. With a network of 250 pharmacies and 20 Equiform point-of-sales and a turnover of € 400 million Multipharma is the medicine distribution leader in Belgium. The needs were: creation of a central database with all data on the real estate portfolio - management of master data of each building - management of lease-in and lease-out contracts, maintenance, insurance, utilities, deposited guarantees, property tax and service charge settlements.
