Develop, prepare and present the annual budget and unit plan for the office to the
president’s council
Establish and implement short and long term goals for the use of technology in the operation
of various student financial aid processes and on line services for students
Oversee various computer programs used in the office - Colleague by Ellucian and Microsoft
office products
Hire, supervise and evaluate the performance of ten full and part-time office staff: ensuring
excellent customer service, planning and coordinating on-going professional development
and developing a strong teamwork ethic within the department
Counsel students with difficult financial situations and make professional judgement
decisions within federal guidelines
Oversee the development of a loan delinquency follow-up / default prevention plan
Resolve and/or assist in the resolution of problems or complaints
Participate and provide leadership on campus scholarship committees and departmental
meetings
