 Handling confidential and sensitive information properly per HIPAA protocols.
 Facilitate internal support and assistance to Franchisees.
 Coordinate logistical details for meetings at the headquarters for potential and current franchise owners.
 Assist with arranging monthly franchisee workshops. Coordinate the preparation and dissemination of
workshop materials, booking-organizing and setup of the learning center and conference rooms,
organizing dinner reservations, requesting hotel room blocks and shuttle service details, collecting travel
details from attendees, follow up with presenters to obtain training documents.
 Managing corporate utility accounts.
 Dispatch new franchise location/start-up documents to franchisees in a time-sensitive manner.

Document Control Specialist/ Coder
 Process 50 to 300 insurance billing claims daily from Sonus, Miracle Ear, Amplifon Hearing Health Care
(formerly HearPO), and Elite Hearing Network franchises.
 Review all claim documentation for compliance to standards.
 Log the receipt of all billable claims into Sycle system or follow up with providers and clinics for missing
documents.
 Distribute completed claims daily to the Billing Specialists.
 Maintain and improve tracking mechanisms for the billed claims by scanning and labeling in the specified
network location.
 Run weekly Sycle billing system reports for Document Control to monitor required insurance information
and to ensure timely filing of claims.
 Prepare three separate business unit escalation reports weekly for management.
 Facilitated the process structure change from corporate clinics to franchise model.
 Verify franchise clinic conformity process and procedures for Sonus staff; answers questions about
insurance claims and procedures associated with Sycle system.
 Create and implement claim processes and changes for business units.
 Advised providers and clinic staff on insurance payer specific requirements.
Apria Healthcare, Minnetonka, MN 2008 - 2009

 Use of HCPCS/ICD-9 2009 to check the correct codes for billing and equipment compatibility
