Resurrection Sunday is important because Jesus' resurrection from the dead demonstrates that his death fully paid for sins. The Bible provides substantial evidence for Jesus' resurrection, including prophecies, his predictions of his death and resurrection, eyewitness accounts, and the emergence of the Christian church. Through faith in Christ's resurrection, believers are declared righteous and justified before God based on Christ's perfect righteousness being credited to them, not by works of the law.
“If Jesus was raised from the dead, he is God and Lord. If he was not, he was a liar, and Christianity is false.” (Jim Denison) The Resurrection is the lynchpin of Christianity! Without its foundation Christianity comes crashing down. This message is an apologetic-narrative defense of the validity of the resurrection based on 1 Corinthians 15:12-20.

God's Holy Temple: To Protect and Respect (by Lourdes E. Morales Gudmundsson) A Powerpoint presentation provided by the GC Women's Ministry Department.
Dear sisters and brothers,
We must ask the gift of faith if we don't have it, if we are always skeptical. We cannot do much if we lack faith in the Risen Lord.
Fr. Cielo
Liberty and equality are the natural properties of a woman. They exist with her and are objects of her jurisdiction. The men of "God" — popes, pimps, politicians, dictators, bankers, and generals — continue to make war against her to prevent her insurrection against their dictatorship.

Presentation on the topic "Resurrection of Jesus" . Contains word study of the word "resurrection", harmonization of the Gospel accounts and historical evidence for the death, empty tomb and post-mortem appearances of Jesus.
One of the first PowerPoints that I made when teaching theology. It is crazy. It has animations, links to further slides, and terrible graphics. But it is fun share and does give an accurate view of the history of Christianity. (Although the animations and links don't work in this slideshare.)

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

Jerry Bridges “The Gospel for Real Life”
15. What is the
Resurrection?
• Jesus was alive
• Jesus died for 3 days
• Jesus came back from the dead fully restored
and perfected

Mark Driscoll “Resurrection: God Saves”
16. Biblical Evidence

Resurrection activity
• Jesus own predictions Mk recorded
8:31, Mk 9:30-31, Mk
10:33-34 • Doubting Thomas

family)worship him as God
• Buried in a well known and are counted as part of
the early church
tomb
• Jesus returned on the third • Paul

Mark Driscoll “Resurrection: God Saves”
17. Circumstantial Evidence

18. Extra-Biblical
Historical Evidence
• Flavius Josephus (37-97 AD), court historian for Emperor
Vespasian
• Cornelius Tacitus (55-120 AD), "the greatest historian" of ancient
Rome
• Gaius Suetonius Tranquillas, chief secretary of Emperor Hadrian
(117-138 AD)
• Pliny the Younger, Roman governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor
around 112 AD
• Emporer Hadrian (117-138 AD), in a letter to Minucius
Fundanus, the Asian proconsul
19. Our sins have been
forgiven because Christ
has been raised from
the dead
20. Did Jesus die to give us
a do-over?
A right standing with God
22. Declared Righteousness
• Christ’s righteousness imputed (credited) to
us as believers
• 2 Corinthians 5:21b
• Romans 4:4-5
• Philippians 3:8-9
• The Great Exchange
23. Raised for our
Justification
• But the words “it was counted to him” were not
written for his sake alone, but for ours also. It
will be counted to us who believe in him who
raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, who was
delivered up for our trespasses and raised for
our justification.
– Romans 4:23-25
25. Alive in Christ
• Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that
we will also live with him.
– Romans 6:8
• Now it is evident that no one is justified before
God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by
faith.”
– Galatians 3:11
26. “Jesus was so full of merit that not only did he
have enough righteousness to cancel out our sin
and enough that he deserved to be raised from
the dead, but he still had abundantly more credit
remaining in his account...
27. As a result, our justification consists not just of a
canceling of our debt, but also of an imputing to
us of the righteousness of Christ. It is not only
“just as if I’d never sinned,” but also, “just as if I’d
already completed a perfect life.” Jesus doesn’t
merely give us a clean slate and then sit back and
watch whether we will mess it up again.”
Adrian Warnock “Raised with Christ”
28. Faith Alone
• Martin Luther argued that Christianity rises
of falls on the doctrine of Justification by
faith alone.
29. I am Thankful
• Do I have the right relationship with God based on
the imputed righteousness of Jesus?
• Am I trusting in Jesus alone for my salvation, or am
I to some degree relying on my own morality and
religious duties?
• If I know that I am justified through faith in Christ,
do I enjoy the reality of it in my daily experience,
or do I look to my own performance for my
acceptance with God?
