The matrix uses the letters R, A, S, C, and I to designate whether a person owns and implements a work package, approves it, provides support or resources, has necessary information or capabilities, or simply needs to be notified of results. A = He or she must sign or approve the work before it is validated.
S = Can provide resources or can play a supporting role in implementation.
C = Has information and/or capability necessary to complete the work.
