Resolution
FORCE
It is defined as the process of
splitting up the given force into a
number of components , without
changing its effect on the body is
called resolution of a force.
A force is, generally, resolved
along two mutually
perpendicular directions.

Composition
FORCE
Composition of Forces. Net force (also
known as resultant force) is the
overall force acting on an object when
all the individual forces acting on the
object are added together. The
net force is a vector produced when
two or more forces act on a single
object.
Audora Art Gallery | 2020
Principle of Resolution
Force
It states, “The algebraic sum of the
resolved parts of a no. of forces, in a
given direction, is equal to the
resolved part of their resultant in the
same direction.”
Forces are in the
same direction
figure shows two forces – 10
N and 20 N acting on a car.
The resultant force will be
30 N to the right, which is
obtained by adding the two
forces numerically.
Forces are in opposite
direction
When the applied forces are in
the opposite direction, the
resultant force is dependent on
the magnitude of the forces.
Using the first car in the figure,
there are two forces 20 N and
40 N acting on it. The resultant
force will be 20 N

Answer
Principle of
Composition Force
The net force is a vector produced when
two or more forces act on a single object.
It is calculated by vector addition of the
force vectors acting on the object.
Composition forces may be
Coplanar Force
Collinear Forcs
Concurrent Force
Like Parralel Force
Unlike Parallel Force

CONCURRENT
FORCE
Concurrent forces are system
of forces whose line of action
(the direction in which
a force acts) meet at a common
point and there is NO net force or
a resultant force due to their
effect.
COPLANNAR
FORCE
In a system in which all
the forces lie in the same plane,
it is known as a coplanar
force system.
COLLINEAR
FORCE
Collinear forces are forces which
have a common line of action, i.e.
the line of action of the forces lie
along a single straight line.
Examples: two people standing
at the opposite ends of a rope
and pulling on it.
LIKE PARALLEL
FORCE
Like Parallel forces are
the forces that are parallel to
each other and have the same
direction
UNLIKE PARALLEL
FORCE
Unlike parallel forces are
the forces that parallel yet have
directions inverse to each other.
