ABSTRACT
1
Classroom learning environment is a place that can offer a wholesome venue for learning activities. This place is where
they will learn the various skills deemed necessary and proper for them to achieve success in the global society. It is a
fact that majority of classrooms in Casamongan Integrated School are still lacking educational materials and does not
have a good learning environment, which badly affects the whole process of education including students' learning
styles; visual learning, auditory learning, reading and writing, and kinesthetic learning. The current paper was especially
designed to examine the impact of classroom learning environment to the students' learning styles. The findings of the
study will bring a constructive revolution in the classroom learning environment to ensure effective teaching - learning
process. The respondents of this study were the Senior High School students of Casamongan Integrated School in the
school year 2023-2024. Purposive sampling was utilized in the selection of the respondents. To determine the impact of
classroom learning environment on students’ learning styles of senior high school students in Casamongan Integrated
School, the percentage formula was used. Based on the data gathered, it can be concluded that 61% of the
respondents agree or answered yes indicating that their classroom learning environment can affect their learning
styles. 12% answered no and 27% answered maybe. Therefore, the researchers conclude in this study as the result
shows that there is a correlation between the classroom learning environment and learning styles of Senior High School
students in Casamongan Integrated School- may it be positive or negative.
INTRODUCTION
2
Classroom learning environment is a place that can offer a
wholesome venue for learning activities. This place is where
they will learn the various skills deemed necessary and
proper for them to achieve success in the global society. It
was found that lack of conducive classroom environment;
non-supportive teachers’ attitude, lack of pedagogical skills
and students’ disruptive behavior create hindrances for
effective teaching and better students’ learning .
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
It is a fact that majority of classrooms in Casamongan Integrated
School were still lacking educational materials and does not have
a good learning environment, which badly affects the whole
process of education including students' learning styles; visual
learning, auditory learning, reading and writing, and kinesthetic
learning.
3
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
The current paper was especially designed to examine the impact
of classroom learning environment to the students' learning
styles. The findings of the study will bring a constructive
revolution in the classroom learning environment to ensure
effective teaching - learning process. There are many factors
accountable for down gradation of students’ learning outcomes
in the school, so it was decided to conduct a research study on
"Correlational Study: Classroom Learning Environment and
Students'Learning Styles".
4
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
1. What significant role does
classroom learning
environment play in the
teaching and learning process?
2. What factors affect the
learning styles of students
inside the classroom?
5
6
ASSUMPTIONS
— A classroom learning environment plays a
significant role in affecting the learning styles
of students.
— The factors that affect the learning styles of
students inside the classroom may differ.

METHODOLOGY
The Respondents and Sampling
In the academic year 2023-
2024, the senior high school
students of Casamongan
Integrated School in the
municipality of Balud, Masbate
served as the identified
respondents. The respondents
were chosen through to the use of
purposeful sampling.
Research Design
The research emplyed a
descriptive-survey approach in this
study to ascertain how classroom
learning environment correlates
with students learning styles.
Instrument Used
In this study, the reseacher
emplyed a structure research-made
questionnaire to gather the needed
data to answer specific objectives
9
METHODOLOGY
To ascertain how classroom learning environment correlates with the students' learning
styles, the formula in getting the data is the percentage.
Percentage. The respondents were analyzed using the simple percentage with the following
formula.
P= F/N (100)
Where:
P= Percentage
F= Frequency
N= Total Number
100= Constant Multiplier
Statistical Measure

DATA GATHERED
The pie graph shows the overall
result(mean) of the data gathered from the
Senior High School students.
It can be concluded that 61% of the
respondents agree or answered yes indicating
that their classroom learning environment can
affect their learning styles. 12% answered no and
27% answered maybe.

FINDINGS
1. What significant roles that classroom learning environment play in the teaching
and learning process?
According to the results, the significant roles that classroom learning
environment play in the teaching and learning process is that the classroom
learning environment can affect the students' auditory, visual, reading and writing,
and kinesthetic learning in a positive or negative way depending on the condition of
the classroom and its capability to provide a good venue for learning to the students.
13
FINDINGS
2. What factors affect the learning styles of students inside the
classroom?
The factors that can affect the learning styles of the students
inside the classroom are noise, classroom size, inappropriate
ventilations, lack of equipments/necessities, improper seating
arrangements and/or lack of seats that can have a positive or
negative effect in the teaching and learning relationship inside
the classroom.
14
CONCLUSION
Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were derived:
Classroom learning environment indeed had an effect on the Senior High
School students' learning styles such as they can learn by just listening to the
lectures inside their classroom but it is affected by the noise from the
neighboring classroom. They can learn by just seeing words or visual learning
but it can be affected by the ventilation of their classroom. They can learn by
just reading texts or taking notes but it can have a negative effect if their
classroom doesn't have enough equipments/necessities to support their
learning. And they can learn by doing activities but is hindered by their
unconducive classroom environment.
Therefore, the researchers conclude in this study as the result shows that
there is a correlation between the classroom learning environment and
learning styles of Senior High School students in Casamongan Integrated
School- may it be positive or negative.
Recommendation 1
Recommendation 2
1. Students should be aware of each other's situation and learn to adjust to
avoid their classroom environment from having negative impacts of their
studies.
2. Government and school administration should improve the condition
of the classroom by providing adequate facilities necessary for a
comfortable and conducive place for learners.
RECOMMENDATION

  • 15. 14 CONCLUSION Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were derived: Classroom learning environment indeed had an effect on the Senior High School students' learning styles such as they can learn by just listening to the lectures inside their classroom but it is affected by the noise from the neighboring classroom. They can learn by just seeing words or visual learning but it can be affected by the ventilation of their classroom. They can learn by just reading texts or taking notes but it can have a negative effect if their classroom doesn't have enough equipments/necessities to support their learning. And they can learn by doing activities but is hindered by their unconducive classroom environment. Therefore, the researchers conclude in this study as the result shows that there is a correlation between the classroom learning environment and learning styles of Senior High School students in Casamongan Integrated School- may it be positive or negative.
