HERE’S THE REQUIREMENTS
•Well – developed instructional designs
draw information from multiple resources
•If necessary, convert materials into
appropriate media for better learner
understanding
•Determine how the same idea can be
explained in a variety of forms to meet a
•Include learners in gathering resources for the
unit and help them understand how to find a
variety of information sources
•Incorporate appropriate use of primary resources.
Help learners know how to access archival
information and authentic primary sources.
•Evaluate all resources for accuracy and
appropriateness. Teach learners how to assess
reliability and validity
•Incorporate multiple perspectives whenever
possible. Coach learners to discriminate points of
view, scope or slant of the information, and detect
According to Van Enckevort and de Wolf (1988), in preparing
instructional materials, one need to have expertise in the
following:
~ knowing and understanding the elements of a subject
field: the concepts, terminology, definitions, methods
and theories and models.
~ learning to use the methods and techniques that are
specific to the subject.
~ mastering the process of acquisition and presentation of
scientific knowledge
~ acquiring a critical mind
requirements in the preparation of instructional materials

According to Van Enckevort and de Wolf (1988), in preparing instructional materials, one need to have expertise in the following: ~ knowing and understanding the elements of a subject field: the concepts, terminology, definitions, methods and theories and models. ~ learning to use the methods and techniques that are specific to the subject. ~ mastering the process of acquisition and presentation of scientific knowledge ~ acquiring a critical mind

  1. Sharpening the axe may mean preparation. When we finally heard of Floyd mayweather signed the fight contract w/ pacquiao, the next news is about pacquiao’s preparation for the fight. Boxing match is just 12 rounds of three minutes but see how long boxers prepared, how hard they train and how rigid they plan. Same so as what teachers do everyday. Class time is only 45 to 60 minutes, but the preparation and planning took many hours.
  2. Let us first define the key words in this topic. First is requirement we are required to accomplish the pre-enrolment documents before we were finally allowed to enroll in the semester
  3. In order to have a good instruction, we, as teachers need to get information from both traditional (like books) and electronic (like the internet-based reference). We should not rely on only one reference. The more reference, the better. Information we get from books or internet may be too hard to understand for our students. this may require tedious readings or analysis, thus it will take time for the students to grasp the information. In this instance, converting those info into a more understandable form is a must. We may use graphic organizer, texts, flow charts and the like.
  4. Learners learn best when they have participation. Example of primary sources are documents and artifacts. In soc.sci, we are very specific about dates, names, events. Some sources may give wrong or confusing information so we need to assess/validate those info. Always look on all the sides of the coin
