LOCLBus Ltd are a bus operator in the East of England, in the UK. With a fleet size of 60 vehicles, ranging from large minibuses to 60 seater vehicles, they are a well known independent operator in the region, second only to the main contractor, First Group who operate the main local authority contracts in the region.
In response to demand from customers and the local authorities who contract LOCLBus to operate key services on their behalf, the management team have decided at a recent board meeting to stop accepting cash payments on all services where customers pay the driver (so not, for instance on school services) and replace cash with card payments and, they hope an App for mobile devices. The board realise this is a huge change for them, as since their inauguration in 1972, the only way they have accepted payment is via cash and it totals £2.7m per year, around 40% of their revenue (the rest being from local authority payments and other commercial contracts).
You have been recruited, due to your experience in commercial vehicles, to project manage this process, from fact finding to roll out of the

Black soldiers serving in the Philippines to put down the insurgency against the United States sent letters to African American newspapers relating their experiences on the islands. Some disheartened soldiers found that the color line extended far beyond the boundaries of the United States, while others saw action in the Philippines as a chance to prove their patriotism and their equality. The first and third letters below were published in the Richmond Planet on December 30, 1899, and December 22, 1900, respectively. I grew up in a small rural community, where people had a job, not a career. I knew I wanted more than a job. Throughout high school, I figured I would go into the military and make that my career, I eventually got cold feet. I started venturing out into the closest cities seeking the right job. I knew it would mean, I would have to commute an hour coming and going. I knew to gain the status I was seeking; I would have to make some sacrifices. “Sociologists use the term status to describe the responsibilities and benefit a person experiences according to their rank and role in society.” (openstax. P. 92) The status I was seeking was the “achieved status”, the status obtained by choice.
Once I obtained a job that I could turn into a career, I realized one other change was needed, relocating. I knew if I continued to live in a rural community, I could not find myself, my self-worth. Growing up in a rural community tends to put people in a box, they’re placed in a comfort zone with no desire to leave.
Relocating opened doors of opportunities for me, spiritually, economically, and personally. I was introduced to cultures and beliefs I found to be fascinating and confusing. I was able to find the career I had been seeking; however, it came with a disturbing price…racism. I never directly dealt with racism until I started working for the federal government. I felt discrimination from men who felt females should not work in a prison, nor did they feel females should be supervisors. Racism was and still is being displayed every day, especially now with the upcoming election. People still strongly believe African Americans are not entitled to a government job, well guess what, I have five years to go before retirement.

Throughout high school, I figured I would go into the military and make that my career, I eventually got cold feet. I started venturing out into the closest cities seeking the right job. I knew it would mean, I would have to commute an hour coming and going. I knew to gain the status I was seeking; I would have to make some sacrifices. “Sociologists use the term status to describe the responsibilities and benefit a person experiences according to their rank and role in society.” (openstax. P. 92) The status I was seeking was the “achieved status”, the status obtained by choice.
Once I obtained a job that I could turn into a career, I realized one other change was needed, relocating. I knew if I continued to live in a rural community, I could not find myself, my self-worth. Growing up in a rural community tends to put people in a box, they’re placed in a comfort zone with no desire to leave.

One example of a time that was really difficult for me to change my attitude was when I was faced with the fact that my family had to move back to a city near my hometown, that we had previously lived in, that I really disliked. The reason we had to move back was due to a job loss in our current area. A slow economy made it very hard for my husband to find a new job in our current area and in other more desirable areas. My husband was the main provider in our family at the time, because I was a stay at home mom taking care of very young kids. My husband finally was able to land a job after trying very hard for over 5 months. He had been unemployed the entire 5 months and it was getting really scary trying to take care of our family at that point. The job he was able to land was back in the area we had previously lived that I disliked very much. I literally moved back there kicking and screaming, but I knew how hard my husband had tried and that we had literally no other options. That didn’t stop me from feeling very negative and internally having a very bad attitude. I had to learn to focus on the things I was thankful for in order to get my attitude to change. The factors that kept me from changing my attitude sooner were seeing all the negatives instead of the positives involved in the situation. I found myself totally focused in on the negatives for the longest time.
After learning a big lesson from that situation, I would put that knowledge to use when trying to help others change their attitude. I would work to help them see all the positives and all the good that could come out of the situation rather than dwelling on the negatives.

1. I believe that we should continue collecting data on race in nearly every situation. Data should be collected for census reports, and in studying differences in pay, opportunity, treatment by authority, as well as in intimate (such as marriage statistics) and aesthetic settings. This term, we have touched on all of the ways in which whites benefit from the domination of people of color. By collecting this data, we have proof that there is a racist aesthetic that sets out to depict people of color in a negative way (Desmond and Emirbayer, 2010, p. 364). We know that between 1998 and 2000, the average family income for blacks was $29,000 and $45,000 for whites (p. 157). We know that people of color are far less represented across nearly every form of media than white people. We know that modern segregation exists. Without data being collected, these are things we would not know—things that would continue to go unchanged for decades to come. We have also learned of the supposed “color-blind” badge of honor many tend to wear. Without such data being collected, people could argue that we are in a post-racist society. But because of the data collected on the above topics, we know otherwise. We know that racial equality is still something we need in our society—something to continue striving and fighting for—and collecting this sort of data helps in this fight.

The authors, Desmond & Emirbayer, expressed that Neil Gotanda pointed out that colorblindness is, “self-contradictory, because it is impossible not to think about a subject without having first thought about at least a little…To be racially color-blind…is to ignore one has already noticed.” (Desmond and Emirbayer 2010, 41) As we learned early on in our readings, race is societies way of categorizing people into groups. Ethnicity is closely related to race, in that, it summarizes one’s family’s culture and traditions.
With the upcoming 2020 census, race is collected but not ethnicity. Race categorizes how many of what nationality the population is made up of. But after the data is collected, I am not sure if the information is translated correctly. The US is a melting pot of races and ethnicities. People have come from all over the world and have created and raised generations of families. The races have mixed and intertwined so much that it is hard to specify one race or another by itself. I have done a DNA background check and the information that I was provided was where my lineage originated from according to my DNA markers.
I think in that respect, 2020 Census, it is important to collect data as accurately as you can to gain statistical data, provided that the people respond on time and accurately. In medical settings, where race and ethnicity are questioned, may be a defining factor to some illnesses to look out for. There are some races that are predisposed to certain illnesses or health concerns than others. There was a 2018 article in The Washin.

Overview
LOCLBus Ltd are a bus operator in the East of England, in the UK. Black soldiers serving in the Philippines to put down the insurgency against the United States sent letters to African American newspapers relating their experiences on the islands. Some disheartened soldiers found that the color line extended far beyond the boundaries of the United States, while others saw action in the Philippines as a chance to prove their patriotism and their equality. The first and third letters below were published in the Richmond Planet on December 30, 1899, and December 22, 1900, respectively. The second letter was published in the Milwaukee newspaper Wis- consin Weekly Advocate on May 17, 1900.

Students must prepare a 15-20 minutes sales presentation based on a chosen product or service from a personal selling organization of their choice. Students are encouraged to apply as much as possible the approaches, strategies and techniques taught in the course.
The effective sales presentation is built with a strategic plan. Every step of the sale, from the approach to servicing the sale, is carefully planned in advance.

Throughout high school, I figured I would go into the military and make that my career, I eventually got cold feet. I started venturing out into the closest cities seeking the right job. I knew to gain the status I was seeking; I would have to make some sacrifices. “Sociologists use the term status to describe the responsibilities and benefit a person experiences according to their rank and role in society.” (openstax. P. 92) The status I was seeking was the “achieved status”, the status obtained by choice.
Once I obtained a job that I could turn into a career, I realized one other change was needed, relocating. I knew if I continued to live in a rural community, I could not find myself, my self-worth. Growing up in a rural community tends to put people in a box, they’re placed in a comfort zone with no desire to leave.
Relocating opened doors of opportunities for me, spiritually, economically, and personally. I was introduced to cultures and beliefs I found to be fascinating and confusing. I was able to find the career I had been seeking; however, it came with a disturbing price…racism. I never directly dealt with racism until I started working for the federal government. I felt discrimination from men who felt females should not work in a prison, nor did they feel females should be supervisors. Racism was and still is being displayed every day, especially now with the upcoming election. People still strongly believe African Americans are not entitled to a government job, well guess what, I have five years to go before retirement.

This project is designed to help the technology company with its relocation efforts. They have hired a project and finance manager, alongside the senior project manager for the company to oversee the project. I have had to change my attitude many times in my life. One example of a time that was really difficult for me to change my attitude was when I was faced with the fact that my family had to move back to a city near my hometown, that we had previously lived in, that I really disliked. The reason we had to move back was due to a job loss in our current area. A slow economy made it very hard for my husband to find a new job in our current area and in other more desirable areas. My husband was the main provider in our family at the time, because I was a stay at home mom taking care of very young kids. My husband finally was able to land a job after trying very hard for over 5 months. He had been unemployed the entire 5 months and it was getting really scary trying to take care of our family at that point. The job he was able to land was back in the area we had previously lived that I disliked very much. I literally moved back there kicking and screaming, but I knew how hard my husband had tried and that we had literally no other options. That didn’t stop me from feeling very negative and internally having a very bad attitude. I had to learn to focus on the things I was thankful for in order to get my attitude to change. The factors that kept me from changing my attitude sooner were seeing all the negatives instead of the positives involved in the situation. I found myself totally focused in on the negatives for the longest time.
After learning a big lesson from that situation, I would put that knowledge to use when trying to help others change their attitude. I would work to help them see all the positives and all the good that could come out of the situation rather than dwelling on the negatives.

1. I believe that we should continue collecting data on race in nearly every situation. Data should be collected for census reports, and in studying differences in pay, opportunity, treatment by authority, as well as in intimate (such as marriage statistics) and aesthetic settings. This term, we have touched on all of the ways in which whites benefit from the domination of people of color. By collecting this data, we have proof that there is a racist aesthetic that sets out to depict people of color in a negative way (Desmond and Emirbayer, 2010, p. 364). We know that between 1998 and 2000, the average family income for blacks was $29,000 and $45,000 for whites (p. 157). We know that people of color are far less represented across nearly every form of media than white people. We know that modern segregation exists. Without data being collected, these are things we would not know—things that would continue to go unchanged for decades to come. We have also learned of the supposed “color-blind” badge of honor many tend to wear. Without such data being collected, people could argue that we are in a post-racist society. But because of the data collected on the above topics, we know otherwise. We know that racial equality is still something we need in our society—something to continue striving and fighting for—and collecting this sort of data helps in this fight.

The authors, Desmond & Emirbayer, expressed that Neil Gotanda pointed out that colorblindness is, “self-contradictory, because it is impossible not to think about a subject without having first thought about at least a little…To be racially color-blind…is to ignore one has already noticed.” (Desmond and Emirbayer 2010, 41) As we learned early on in our readings, race is societies way of categorizing people into groups. Ethnicity is closely related to race, in that, it summarizes one’s family’s culture and traditions.
With the upcoming 2020 census, race is collected but not ethnicity. Race categorizes how many of what nationality the population is made up of. But after the data is collected, I am not sure if the information is translated correctly. The US is a melting pot of races and ethnicities. People have come from all over the world and have created and raised generations of families. The races have mixed and intertwined so much that it is hard to specify one race or another by itself. I have done a DNA background check and the information that I was provided was where my lineage originated from according to my DNA markers.
I think in that respect, 2020 Census, it is important to collect data as accurately as you can to gain statistical data, provided that the people respond on time and accurately. In medical settings, where race and ethnicity are questioned, may be a defining factor to some illnesses to look out for. There are some races that are predisposed to certain illnesses or health concerns than others. There was a 2018 article in The Washin.

Introduction to objective, scope and outcome the subject
Chapter 2
Introduction: Scope and Specialization of Civil Engineering, Role of civil Engineer in Society, Impact of infrastructural development on economy of country.
Chapter 3
Surveying: Object Principles & Types of Surveying; Site Plans, Plans & Maps; Scales & Unit of different Measurements.
Linear Measurements: Instruments used. Linear Measurement by Tape, Ranging out Survey Lines and overcoming Obstructions; Measurements on sloping ground; Tape corrections, conventional symbols. Angular Measurements: Instruments used; Introduction to Compass Surveying, Bearings and Longitude & Latitude of a Line, Introduction to total station.
Levelling: Instrument used Object of levelling, Methods of levelling in brief, and Contour maps.
Chapter 4
Buildings: Selection of site for Buildings, Layout of Building Plan, Types of buildings, Plinth area, carpet area, floor space index, Introduction to building byelaws, concept of sun light & ventilation. Components of Buildings & their functions, Basic concept of R.C.C., Introduction to types of foundation

Transportation: Introduction to Transportation Engineering; Traffic and Road Safety: Types and Characteristics of Various Modes of Transportation; Various Road Traffic Signs, Causes of Accidents and Road Safety Measures.
Chapter 6
Environmental Engineering: Environmental Pollution, Environmental Acts and Regulations, Functional Concepts of Ecology, Basics of Species, Biodiversity, Ecosystem, Hydrological Cycle; Chemical Cycles: Carbon, Nitrogen & Phosphorus; Energy Flow in Ecosystems.
Water Pollution: Water Quality standards, Introduction to Treatment & Disposal of Waste Water. Reuse and Saving of Water, Rain Water Harvesting. Solid Waste Management: Classification of Solid Waste, Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Solid. Recycling of Solid Waste: Energy Recovery, Sanitary Landfill, On-Site Sanitation. Air & Noise Pollution: Primary and Secondary air pollutants, Harmful effects of Air Pollution, Control of Air Pollution. .
