Technology and Me A Personal Timeline of Educational Technology
Overview My name is Angela Chung. I started school in 1988 at Salt Lake Elementary School, Honolulu, Hawaii. I graduated from high school in 2002 from Aiea High School, Aiea, Hawaii. I received my bachelor’s of science degree in 2006 from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I am finishing my master’s in educational administration and I hope to improve and continue to expand REACH.
My Personal Definition of Education Technology Education can be more convenient… at home, at your own computer, maybe having a snack or lunch. We can teach children of tomorrow with technology they know and understand (not white or chalk boards) where they can engage and enjoy more.

High School Technology Camera CD player Beginning of cell phones… Google Image search engine
College Technology Now with these high tech gadgets, we are walking technologies… we cannot live, eat, or sleep without these things. What will there be after College Technology?? Google Image search engine
A Vivid Technology Learning Experience Starting with AOL chat, we are able to keep in touch with friends across the world. MSN chat has a camera feature you can use while chatting now. Google Image search engine
A Technology I Want to Use in My Classroom I want to be able to play educational games with my students on the Wii and Nintendo DS. Educational and FUN! Google Image search engine
My Vision of the Classroom of the Future Students are not allowed to sit at their desk continuously all day from 8am-2pm. Some subjects will be taught using technology they enjoy using (Wii, Nintendo DS, computers).
A Challenge for Teaching Different opinions and view points. People think children are on the computer, electronic toys, etc. for too many hours. People think it’s not good for them.
Words of Wisdom I really love this quote from module 3… “ If we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of tomorrow.” – John Dewey
