This document outlines a new Year 9 course on religion, ethics, and philosophy that prepares students for GCSE exams through focusing on key skills like critical thinking, evaluation, and class debates. The course covers elements of the GCSE ethics and philosophy syllabus, runs for 1 hour per week, and assesses students with GCSE-style questions to provide excellent preparation for GCSE exams or as a stand-alone course.
2. Religion Ethics & Philosophy – Year 9.
This is a new course we have written with one eye firmly fixed on the GCSE &
Level syllabus
We have taken some of the ethical and philosophical elements of the GCSE
syllabus and created a scheme of work based on these.
There will be a focus on the key skills of :
Critical thinking,
Evaluation,
Class debate/discussion.
