5. GOD IS RELATIONAL
We know we have to maintain a relationship with God as Christians, because God is relational
Reject the idea of Deism (Psalm 77:14)
His relationships in the Bible with Adam (Genesis 1-3) and Abraham (Genesis 12:2-3)
God commands us to love one another
Mark 12: 30-31 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with
all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbour as
yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (ESV)
Romans 12:10, Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves. (ESV)
Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10 Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labour. For if
they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to
help him up. (KJV)
6. ‘GIMMEE GIMMEE, RELATIONSHIP’

The way in which two or more people are connected and or interact. Any relationship should be mutually

Relationships shouldn’t be one person putting in all the effort.
God is willingly available to us has given everything to us (John 3:16). Yet some of us never give
anything back. (acknowledging him as God, thanking him for who he is and what he has done, time in
his presence)
In other relationships we can use people for lifts, money, emotional support, food etc.

Remember this is because the Lord has never withheld anything we’ve ever needed (John 3:16)

Respect: (Romans 12:10)
10. WHY WE NEED TO BE IN GODLY RELATIONSHIPS?
Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10, 9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they
fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him
up. (KJV)
