Ancillary Task 1
I have researched a few different regional magazine websites and the
main codes and conventions that are used are:
 Masthead which is the same as on the magazine; font and colour.
 There is a larger main section which includes the main features of the latest
issue
 Adverts which will generate the magazine’s revenue
 Social media links which lets the target audience interact with the company
 Font which tends to be ‘sans serif’ which is easy to read and usually corresponds
with the font in the magazine.
 Web links which will send the target audience to various pages
 Offers/competitions which will provide the audience with discounts and the
chance to win prizes.
