Lions clubs in Oregon and other countries are working on tree planting projects to commemorate soldiers and support reforestation efforts. In Oregon, Lions are planting 60,000 trees to honor each soldier who died in the Vietnam War. Internationally, Lions clubs in countries like Uruguay, England, and India are donating trees and funds to support the planting of millions of trees across Africa and India. Students in India participated in a school forestation project where each student was responsible for watering and caring for a tree.
