RE: Letter of Reference
FOR: Sean McConnaha
To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to write a letter of reference for Mr. McConnaha. He worked for the Stanford
School District this year as the 7-12 English teacher. Sean was an exceptional teacher that
exhibited excitement and made connections to English for all the students he taught.
Through his work he had had many opportunities to make lasting relationships with the students
and staff. He demonstrated his commitment to ‘education in action’ through several projects he
assigned as outcomes of the work the students had done in and out of the classroom.
He has a good sense of ability which lends itself to building capacity within the school or
organization. In a small school, employees are asked to get involved in more than just the
content they teach. He willingly participated in all staff meetings as well as other assignments
such as serving as the junior class advisor, the yearbook advisor as well as putting out the
monthly newsletter.
Sean is a qualified teacher with exceptional experience dealing with students and community
members on contentious topics. He is level-headed and even tempered and does not let emotions
dictate decisions. You will gain a very dedicated employee and your gain is a Stanford loss.
I would recommend Mrs. McConnaha for any teaching position without reservations.
If you need additional information, please contact me at 566-2265 or by cell at 406-431-3146.
Respectfully,
Nancy J. Coleman, Superintendent
