To Whom It May Concern, May 18th 2012
I am absolutely honored to be writing this letter in reference for Danny Cendella. Danny came to Prairie
Seeds Academy in 2009. Since his arrival he has taught 5th grade, 1st grade and currently grades 6th-8th.
His actions and hard work has shaped PSA in many positive ways. Danny would definitely be a great
asset to your school.
As a school counselor, I have seen many teachers teach and I have collaborated with many teachers.
Danny is the most authentic teacher I have ever met. His lesson plans are intricately focused at the
student eye level. During his lessons, he explores a lot of text to self connections and text to text
connections,by doing so, students are actively engaged and inquiring. Danny also shares a lot of his life
experiences with the students as a way to validate and confirm. These approaches are very helpful in
improving student academics considering our high ELL population.
Danny has been able to employ a gentle and peaceful classroom environment. During my informal
observations ofstudents in his class,his lectures and many different teaching approaches were supported
by his aura of maintaining a respectful environment. I have also seen Danny humbly respond to students
with behavioral issues by resolving the issues immediately. Danny has also been open to student-
teacher mediations and is open to the resolution to conflicts.
To close, I am very fortunate and blessed to have Danny as a co-worker and as a friend. His aura and
personality is one that will definitely fit well with others. You would be privileged to have Danny as a
member of your staff.
