Objective My main objective is to be the best teacher I possibly can be. I hope to make a difference in
my future student’s lives by providing a positive, open, inclusive, and high quality learning
environment for each and every student who walks through my door. It is my belief that
many students not only need a great instructional teacher with great proficiency in pedagogy,
group learning, co-teaching, content, etc. but an educator who is also a quality roll model as
well. I hope to be all of these things for my future students.
My ultimate goal, however, is to influence students to actually want to learn. The way I plan
on doing this is by offering them a type of instruction, style of teaching, and classroom
environment that makes them excited to come to my class. I hope to create life-long learners,
and quality citizens who are excited to be involved in our civic process, as well as upstanding
adults who contribute positively to society.

Work
Experience
McCord Communications 2000 to 2010
-Tower Crew Forman. One of my main responsibilities at this job was to help lead a crew of
men in installing emergency warning systems for municipalities all over the South and the
North East. Each system had its own central tower, which we built and maintained as well as
the sirens. I am proud to say that, although my uncle owned this business at the time, I was
shown no special treatment. In fact, the opposite was true. I am also proud to say that we had
no serious injuries on this very dangerous and stressful job while I was helping lead the team.
This job taught me teamwork, work ethic, and discipline. I am also happy to say that I left on
good terms in order to enroll in college. My manager at this company is no longer there, as
the company was sold since I left and is under new management.
Work-Study Program at Donehoo Elementary School 2011
-Teacher’s assistant. I had the pleasure of assisting Mrs. Garrison’s 2nd Grade class in
numerous ways as part of my work-study program. One of my favorite, and most fulfilling,
ways I helped these inspirational little students was helping the slower readers catch up with
their peers.
Gadsden State Bookstore 2011-2012
-General associate. I helped keep the books stocked. I also assisted students in finding their
required books. Please feel free to call my former manager, Josh Newton at 256-452-0056 for
information regarding my work ethic, etc.
-Tutor at Pleasant Valley High School 2014
-As part of my practicum II experience, I tutored a student struggling to pass the ACC, as
well as a 5th grader 3 times a week.
