If food can make your body swell up can food also make your body release inflammation? The system is already in place in your body. Certain foods serve as stimulation for the processes already in place in your body. (This presentation was created for a class. Reliv International, Inc. did not really sponsor the group. Although it is a great idea!)

Editor's Notes
Welcome to the first ever “Eat Yourself into Freedom”! If you are here, you have already been looking for ways to improve your life. I created this group to support your effort in making dietary changes that could change your whole life. Working together, I believe we can make some wonderful changes.
We’re going to walk through the process from getting to know each other, learn some about tasty ways to eat for your advantage, talk a little about embracing change, have a little fun, AND learn how we can inspire others!
“So what?” So you increase you mobility and the doctor gives you a star on your chart… what does this MEAN to you? If it does not increase YOUR perceived value of your life, then so what if you can move more?
What will your increased interest in wanting to go and do things affect your relationships? Hopefully for the better! Believe it or not, breaking out of routines for the better are not always well-receive by those closest to you. On a personal note, I remember being afraid that quitting smoking would ultimately lead to a divorce. It actually did. The more confidence I gained and better I felt the more contrast grew between me and my husband. It took us a few years – over 10 - but he has finally embraced my growth and now cheers me on. The kids like that better.
So, before we get into the substance of today’s program, I want to talk about change in general for a minute.
Let’s take a minute to get to know each other. I’ll introduce myself first. My name is Colleen Kielton, I’ve been in the healing business for just about twenty years. I went from being an overweight, then an underweight smoker to a quintuple state champion in martial arts.
My immediate hope for this group is to show you that you can reach for higher stars and help you sort out some of the tools to get you there. My future hope for this group is to develop an ongoing growth group to support your long term changes and to inspire many more to take the same path.
We’ll be looking into ‘the why” of our actions. My “why” is that I believe my purpose here on Earth is to offer guidance to those looking for ways to grow.
If you would, please introduce yourself by giving your name, how you learned about this group, and name one higher star you could reach for.
Thank you so much and I am so happy you are here to improve your life! I am honored to be a part of your growth!
Everyone here today, has expressed a desire to learn new ways to eat for the benefits. You either want more freedom of movement or you want to KEEP the mobility you have. If your diet has the potential to increase your mobility, chances are, your diet may have had something to do with your lack of mobility. Not judging anyone, I do want to point out that eating habits are a very sensitive area of our lives. Making changes in a sensitive area of your life can bring out some vulnerabilities. It is natural for people to feel vulnerable while making changes. Joining a fun group like this one can make this transition a easier.
Here’s what we’re here to change. Diet. Where do you get this stuff and what do we do with it? We can easily get lost in the abundance of information available. One of the benefits of meeting weekly is to have an actual conversation about these foods.
Lunasin is the latest miracle protein peptide. It is in many of the anti-inflammatory foods. Lunasin is found in the milky substance produced when processing soy. It used to be thrown away in the processing!
I brought some edamame and tofutti, and we’re going to make some ‘togurt” shakes for everyone to try after the presentation. Next week some of you will be bringing goodies to try! Sign up after the presentation while we exchange information and try these delicious treats!
This is a fun way to gain a baseline measure of how you feel today. After we play a little catch today, we’ll write down how we did. Since Reliv International wants us all to use their LunaRichX supplements, they sponsored our group and had these cool balls made for us with their logo on it.
A little story about why your health and happiness is important to everyone. Jeff Rea, the President of the St. Joe County Chamber of Commerce spoke at an event I attended a few years ago. He said our community literally lost a big business prospect due to the bad attitudes of several people he met while he was here checking out our town. Stayed at the hotel, went out to eat. He met with misery and misery won. The man shopped elsewhere for his business home. Happiness matters! People in pain probably have a hard time showing their happy face!
I personally want to be on the team of making our community a great place to live. I would to see this town thriving and full of enthusiastic people. I know that a town full of people in misery is not so likely to produce this change, but a community rich with enthusiasm for life WILL.
You might try the “Five Why’s” exercise. Ask yourself why you came here today. Ask yourself why that is important to you. Then ask why that is important to you. Continue asking five times. Warning, this sometimes makes people cry.
I look forward to seeing you next week and cannot wait to hear how your first week of your new life journey went! Successes and pitfalls! If you would like to communicate between meetings remember to exchange contact information. Sign up to bring a cool dish next week if you would like to do that. If you want to try new things at home even if you are not on the schedule to bring a dish next week, we’d love to here how it went. See you next week!
