2. What is Recycler View ?
 A flexible view for providing a limited window into a large
dataset.
 It allows us to create a large scrolling list of items with similar
look-and-feel (layout or view) but with different data without
actually repeating any view

3. But Wait…?
 Isn’t there another component called
ListView to achieve the similar task ?
Then why does even RecyclerView came into
picture ?
 Yes !
 ListView is long gone when you were
sleeping under ice

4. RecyclerView v/s ListView:

5. List View: Captain speaks
 Captain: Displays a vertically-scrollable
collection of views, where each view is
positioned immediately below the previous view
in the list. Here’s a ListView:
 Captain: Yes.
 Stark: That’s it?

6. Recycler View: Stark speaks
 RecyclerView also does all this stuff but it has the
following advantages over ListView:
1. Reuses cells while scrolling up/down : The cells
scrolled out the view are reused. (Optional in
ListView)
2. Decouples list from its container - so you can
put list items easily at run time in the different
containers (linearLayout, gridLayout) with
setting LayoutManager.
3. Animates common list actions - Animations are
decoupled and delegated to ItemAnimator.
