Visas allow foreign citizens to enter certain countries and are issued by that country's government. There are two main types of visas - immigration visas which allow people to move to and settle in a host country, and non-immigration/temporary visas which are for purposes other than immigration. Some popular US work visas discussed are the H1B, which is a work permit with an annual limit, and the L1 for intercompany transfers. Other topics covered include green cards, tax forms like W2 and 1099, and differences between full-time employment, independent contracting and corporate-to-corporate arrangements.

• Big companies (Dell, Microsoft etc..) can sponsor H1B once employed should work for the same sponsor.
• Issued for 3 years can be extended to 6 years provided Green card is under process
H4‐B Visa
• Given to spouse and children of H1B visa holders.
• Rules and regulations applicable as B1/B2 visa holders.
o Cannot work.
L1 Visa
• Intercompany transfer.
• Can only work with Sponsor Company.
• Cannot get Green card.
L2 Visa
• Issued to the spouse and children of L1 visa holders.

3. F1/J1 Visa
• Student Visa
o F1 visa holders cannot work.
• J1 visa is issued to those students who want to pursue research or doctorate in US.
o Can work for limited number of hours
TN Visa
• Applicable only for Canadian citizens who want to work in US.

their own taxes.
Corp to Corp is when a company pays another company for the services of individuals who do work for them.
In this case, the individual is usually considered an employee of the company providing the workers.

different departments' particular needs. That is a tall order, building a single software program that serves the needs of
people in finance as well as it does the people in human resources and in the warehouse. Each of those departments
typically has its own computer system optimized for the particular ways that the department does its work. But ERP
combines them all together into a single, integrated software program that runs off a single database so that the various
departments can more easily share information and communicate with each other. That integrated approach can have a
