1. Reaction paper
The virtual tour on the inside of Louvre Museum is the video that I never knew I needed. Paris is one of
the places that I’ve always dreamed of going to. And watching the video gave me one more reason why I should
really hop onto the plane and fly myself there. My first impression of the museum was that it’s extremely massive.
I was also mesmerized by the building’s grandeur. The flooring, the walls, the wide view open ceiling spot.
Everything. Some rooms even have paintings on its ceiling. It’s absolutely astonishing. I was admiring not only
the pieces of artwork but as well as the inside of the museum itself.
I love how every corner of it contains people of every kind as well as arts that are truly one of a kind.
Goosebumps all over my body. That’s what I felt like as every piece of artwork was being shown on the screen.
I found myself pausing the video every after 15 seconds to give myself some time to admire the details of every
artwork. Though it is kind of sad that I only get to zoom in through my phone to see the details for myself,
nonetheless it was still such an experience.
After watching the video, I thought I could decide on what artwork would be my top most favorite, in that
way I could talk about it as part of my reaction paper. But turns out I was not able to. Because every artwork was
undoubtedly immaculate. While looking at the paintings and sculptures, I began by observing their shapes, and
patterns, and how the colors blend and complement each other. Only some of the artworks were familiar to me,
hence I did a little background research on the other unfamiliar ones. And knowing something about a piece of
art while carefully observing it made a lot of difference. It helped me to feel more connected to that specific work
of art. And knowing that these pieces are made thousands of years ago yet it still fascinates and attracts people all
over the world up until now is still mind-blowing. I absolutely admire and appreciate the artists behind all these
artworks, what a skill to have. Appreciating art is indeed really fascinating. I definitely await the opportunity to
land my own feet on the floors of the Louvre museum, wander around its hallways, feel the tranquility of the
place and most especially see the historic renaissance artworks for myself.
