React Native allows developers to write mobile apps using React and share common code between Android and iOS. The document discusses building basic components in React Native, passing props between components, styling components, tracking events natively, debugging challenges, and managing shared code in a monorepo. It concludes that React Native has a low barrier to entry given the popularity of React, provides a native-like experience, and improves developer velocity by enabling write once, run anywhere code sharing across platforms.
This talk will explain how we can all write better code; one of the easiest ways to do this is through testing. We'll cover two popular open source frameworks, GHUnit and KIF, both of which can be automated with a CI like Jenkins.

React-Native components are awesome. But you can also extend the library yourself by creating a native component, using a bridge between the platform API (iOS, Android) and Javascript.

React Native for multi-platform mobile applicationsMatteo Manchi
Since its 2013 release, React has brought a new way to design UI components in the world wide web. The same foundamentals have been taken to another important environment in our contemporary world: the mobile application.
This month we'll see the philosophy behind React Native - learn once, write anywhere - and how this new framework helps new developers to build native apps using React.
How I’ve met .NET Core and a little story about my drama with the framework. This talk will reveal some of my projects and experience with .NET Core and what we can learn from them. We will take a look of some interesting features from .NET Core 3.0 and in the end why I love this framework and the way Microsoft is going.

A tale of scale & speed: How the US Navy is enabling software delivery from l...sonjaschweigert1
Rapid and secure feature delivery is a goal across every application team and every branch of the DoD. The Navy’s DevSecOps platform, Party Barge, has achieved:
- Reduction in onboarding time from 5 weeks to 1 day
- Improved developer experience and productivity through actionable findings and reduction of false positives
- Maintenance of superior security standards and inherent policy enforcement with Authorization to Operate (ATO)
Development teams can ship efficiently and ensure applications are cyber ready for Navy Authorizing Officials (AOs). In this webinar, Sigma Defense and Anchore will give attendees a look behind the scenes and demo secure pipeline automation and security artifacts that speed up application ATO and time to production.
We will cover:
- How to remove silos in DevSecOps
- How to build efficient development pipeline roles and component templates
- How to deliver security artifacts that matter for ATO’s (SBOMs, vulnerability reports, and policy evidence)
- How to streamline operations with automated policy checks on container images

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Single NPM module
Centralised repo - minimal JS in the native codebases
In the package.json
Native PR is only a version number increase
Separate Demo App - allows React developers to work away from the Native codebases
Debugging is possible here
Hot reloading + live reload - no recompiling here
Ultimately RN is rendered natively
Good for atomic single uses i.e. low-traffic screen
Don’t have to go all in!
With our monorepo react devs can work on it without interfering with the native teams
React Primitives - This library attempts to propose an ideal set of primitives around building React applications, regardless of Platform.
Codepush - is a cloud service that enables Cordova and React Native developers to deploy mobile app updates directly to their users’ devices. It works by acting as a central repository that developers can publish certain updates to (e.g. JS, HTML, CSS and image changes), and that apps can query for updates from (using our provided client SDKs).
