This document summarizes a partnership between Tony Villani's XPE Sports Academy and George Kousaleos' CORE Myofascial Therapy program to help prepare elite college football prospects for the NFL Combine. The intense training for the combine puts athletes at risk for overuse injuries if not paired with effective recovery methods. Kousaleos developed a modified myofascial therapy protocol that significantly reduced injuries for Florida State football players. He now trains therapists at XPE Sports Academy to apply this gentle yet effective approach to help NFL hopefuls recover faster and push their training further without injury in the short lead-up to the combine. Initial results show fewer injuries allowing athletes to train harder and potentially improve their draft prospects.
