preparation. The fertilizers were applied basally by broadcasting them in the field. They
are generally applied to provide nitrogen and phosphorus to the crop plants
Uprooting and Transplanting In the Rice Field –
The Rice seedlings were uprooted carefully by the students, tied into bundles and were
carried to the main field for transplantation .The seedlings were then carefully
transplanted in the main field by maintaining optimum Row to Row and Plant to Plant
spacing and optimum plant population.

Due to low intensity of pests on the field and because the cultivation is by default organic
in Dindori. Students suggested application of neem oil (5%) on the field wherever the
attack of pests was observed.
