PDHPE in primary schools aims to develop students' knowledge, understanding, skills, and attitudes to lead healthy, active lives and play a responsible role in society. Through PDHPE, students benefit physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. PDHPE is important because it encourages self-understanding, values peers, promotes healthy lifestyles through physical activity, and emphasizes informed decision making. More specifically, PDHPE focuses on students' growth, relationships, health choices, safety, active lifestyles, movement skills, and skills to promote better health and movement. These areas benefit students by developing decision making, interaction, problem solving, communication, and movement skills, with an overall focus on promoting better health.
